Wow, not even the west coast people visit this thread at night. It seems everyone on this cruise is early to bed and early to rise....I thought we were going to dance the nights away. OR--- Are you all just sleeping now so that you never have to go to sleep from Sept 7 - 17?

I'm not usually on the computer very late..... Or if I am it's my laptop and I almost never reply to anything on it! I hate typing on a laptop while it is on my lap! LOL!

I do agree with you about seeing this thread slip to the 2nd page...... eeekkk!! Of course that is why on many occasions I posted!

We wouldn't mind if Ernesto took a small swing to the west as a small caine or TS. We could use the rain up here.

Sandy, are these baskets a lot nicer than Disney ordered baskets???

I have never ordered a basket from DCL. Shirley's baskets are much more versatile. You can send her stuff to put in the baskets or just tell her what you would like and a price range. Just keep in mind that DCL charges her, I think, about $12 delivery charge.

Just saw the lastest advisory and they have Ernesto moving much further east and intensifying. It will cross the Florida peninsula and head to NE Florida as it exits into the Atlantic. That it means it will cross right over our house as a Category One early next Friday. But, it's still a long way out and the intensity and direction may change although I don't want to wish it on anyone else.

If It stays on its current track, it will pass just west of Naples as a Cat 2 Wednesday. I hope it does not came any further east .

It was a small commuter Comair jet leaving Kentucky bound for Atlanta...so, unless we have someone from Kentucky on our cruise, it is highly unlikely. Our prayers go out to those families nonetheless.

I wasn't sure where everyone was from or who was flying in early. If your flying to MCO with Delta, you would be going through Atlanta. They have very few direct flights. Song was suppose to have been their direct flight carrier and that didn't happen.

Congratulations Sandy. There is definitely nothing better that becoming a grandma! I am a proud grandma to 14 month old twin boy and girl. Love them to death!! In fact, it is PoohFriend's (Heidi) twin sister that made me the grandma.

Sandy, I am so Happy for you. It is a turning point in life when you become a GRANDMOTHER!!!!!!!!

When I worked for the Disney Store, we got in some irresistible bargains of infant wear. I started a girl drawer of Disney clothes (tubs full) and then a boy drawer (tubs full)of Disney clothes. After years of storing, my DD finally made me a grandma. I finally am empting the girl clothes from my house and sometime in September(maybe while I am crusing) my same DD is having a baby boy. Now my husband says we can finally get rid of the boy clothes.!!! I wanted my grandaughter to call me grammie but my DGD calls me mema!!!! I would not have it any other way.

I was told by many people "The only reason to have children is to have grandchildren."

Congratulations on finally getting your dgs... and thanks for the idea about the drawers! Now I have a project... I can load the drawers up and be READY for either one. SUCH a great idea!

My DH freaked out when I called him Grandpa...he said he wanted to be called Papa... I told him he may not have a choice if the baby decides on something else! LOL My kids call my mother Mamaw and that is what I'm hoping that I will be called also, ...but we'll see. I know first hand that kids pick your name as I called my grandmother GENGO!

CNN is now reporting that the plane took off from the wrong air strip. It was suppose to have taken off from one long enough, but instead took a shorter strip that would not let the plane get up the speed needed to make it in the air. They aren't saying if it was pilot or controller error. But they have just reported that the surivor is the co-pliot.

I have flown in that type plane more times than I can count. They are used largely by Delta as connecting flights to Atlanta from regional "eastern" airports. They are also used for their regional direct flights. It was the same type plane we used in Feb with a direct flight from Birmingham to MCO and back. It's also the type plane I was on from LA to Salt Lake City.

If your coming from Cali you will be on a bigger plane than the one that just crashed. Now you might be on one from Atl to MCO, but that is HIGHLY doubtful as Delta is a major Disney airline. So I'm sure you will be on a big plane the whole way through.

But as always when I take off my prayer is for each person on the plane with me to make it safely to their destination. So I will extend that prayer out to each one of you, as you make your way to our cruise ship.

With most of you going to WDW before the cruise... I may be talking to myself come the end of next week! If we could have convinced 15dd to miss the first week of Chemistry & Geometry (those are the 2 classes she takes outside our home) we would go early!

23dd wouldn't have been able to get any more time off, either -- she is taking her last week of vacation for the year plus she had to take some personal days to get the entire 10days off.....

I told dh that I want to go back to WDW SOON!!!!! I know we were there in Feb.... but, it seems like forever!!!
