I finally found a fish extender. Went to a dollar store by work and I found this 3 pocket organizer. It was in a kitcheny pattern on the pockets so I covered the pockets with felt (hot glued on) and I am going to look for fabric iron ons of disney characters and letters to spell out our names to finish it up Im so happy I finally found one.

Still no docs for me.

If you have a fairly good printer, you can buy printable iron paper and make your own characters and letters. It's fun to do. If your interested in doing this. I have a large selectiong of Disney characters already on my computer. I'll be more than happy to send them to you.

Karen,
were you a foster parent or adoptive parent yourself? When I was married we were foster parents primarily of teenage girls for almost 10 years we usually had 3 with us as well as our own 4 ( 2 when we started as foster parents) of which 3 of the 4 we had adopted.

Hey Terry,

We intended on adopting from the start, but started out fostering to try it out - and because you can get younger children that way.

Four of the five children we have were all originally foster children and we adopted the oldest four and currently have temporary custody of the baby. We had six up until about a month ago, and the baby went with her bio dad. Five of the six are all biological sibs.

My hubby actually goes to court for the 3 year old on Sept 11, as we have been fighting for custody for over a year with him. Children Services is wanting us to have him but the magistrate here has always been very far on the family rights side of the bench. Birthmom has custody of a 10 month old, and is 8 mos pregnant now with no job, and many issues.

That's awesome that you adopted and fostered as well. It has been a very rewarding experience for us!

Can't wait to meet you!
Karen

LOL I took over 400 pictures when I was in Fiji. I would love to get them out of the computer and into a book. But!! :rotfl2: The cost of printing that many pictures, the material to scrap them, and the time it would take to do them. :scared1:

Hey Amlee,

Just pic your faves! Start small and you will do well! Scrapbooking can be about highlighting your journey -- not necessarily using every pic. That's what I love about scrapbooking, anyhow -- the story behind the pics and the journey's that we have taken!!! :)

I also love digital cameras, too! I don't seem to spend money on pics that look like crap! :rotfl2:

Have a great night!
Karen

At the very beginning of this thread there were people who were planning a crop, but I think they are no longer cruising with us. It would be fun just to get together and talk over people's ideas for their Disney cruise scrapbook.[/QUOTE]

I think it would be great to get together and chat! I know I, for one, wouldn't know where to begin to bring my croppin' gear on the ship! I think I need to pack my whole basement just to go over to a friends to scrap!!! :rotfl:

I found some eight packs of those wedding bubbles at Deals tonight and picked up all they had (5 pkgs). Is it okay to have those onboard and would they be good for the sail away party or for Pirate night? I've got plenty for the kids to share, and I'll check the other deals in town to see if I can pick up some more. I even got some things to *disney* them up!!!

About how many princess: and :groom: (kids) are we up to now?

Thanks,
Karen

We are doing the doc dance.

I too enjoy scrapping. I do however, think that I will not have room in my suitcase for one more thing. So much for packing light. :rotfl2:

I never met a craft I didn't like! LOL! :rotfl2:

I love to sew and scrapbook, and yes, I buy way too many supplies. It is so addicting. I have one room in the house just devoted to my crafts.

Amlee: I had trouble getting started with my scrapbooking projects too. I decided, one day, to just buy some paper, choose the kind of scrapbook I wanted, and like it has been said here before, "Just do it". My first one was really interesting.....looked like something I may have done back in the 6th grade, but at least the concept and learning curve was gone.....or so I thought.

I learn something new everytime I do a new scrapbook. That is what makes scrapbooking so much fun. You also get to preserve your pictures and information for generations to come.

I'm more into scrapbooking my vacations now, since my kids are grown. I love finding new and exciting ways to "kick 'em up a notch". I've also learned that I don't have to print out every single picture (I am a photographer - lol) but instead choose just the really good ones (maybe two or three) of each place we've visited, along with the things I collect.....like ticket stubs, brochures, hotel bills, etc.

The key is to have fun! :artist:

I've been to wal-mart and office max. Wally-world was out and the office max employee asked me what it was? She had never heard of it. :sad2: Next stop will be either Hobby Lobby or Micheals. If I find it I'll buy an extra roll to bring with me in case anyone needs it.

Ok, I'm so excited about my fishy gifts!! :cool1: They are so COOL!
My grandmother is here now doing my ironing for me so I can get ready to pack!!

I went to Michaels, Jo-Ann's, Home Depot...no luck...But I finally found it at Menards. I don't know if you have a Menards or not...also you could try an Ace or Tru Value hardware. The brand was Empire and the name is Flexible Magnetic Strip. I got 2 sizes ...30" by 1/2 " and 30" by 1". The UPC is 046609027079 or 04660970710. Hopefully that info will help you find it somewhere....

I was surprised to see 8 luggage tags though!

How many of you are there? The tags fold over and attach to each other...so, do you have 8 or 4?...Hey, if you have extras, we could sure use them to bring all the cheese curds people are asking for! ;) ;)

Celia ... you are my kind of person. I just love to collect ephemera, especially Disney, and most especially when it's free Disney.

I have a question about the little cruise booklet thing that Disney sent. Along with my docs they sent another page for the booklet, and yet it still looks like it is missing a page. Does anyone know what I'm talking about :confused3 Do we get another page when we get onboard?

I have no craft bone in my body. I belly dance and most of the girls make their own costumes, but I pay them to make mine! My sister made me a scrapbook for my wedding!

I CAN NOT find any magnetic tape anywhere either!? What is up with that??

Question Amy. What do you need magnetic tape for? Just curious. :teeth: JoAnns Fabrics might have some as well as Hobby Lobby.

DH calls me a pack rat...I save EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

It should be a fun dinner table...we'll all be trying to sneak out the menus everynight! :rotfl:

I agree...it looks like there is a page missing.

Linda: LOL! I see you were the Trivia Champ in 1999. I think I'll hang with you when they do some trivia contests, okay? :rotfl2: There are times I don't even remember where I put my car keys, let alone Disney trivia!

Me thinks the guys better get online and find a topic that they like, otherwise they are in for a very special treat.....scrapbooking fever. Ask Chipper about her husband! I got him interested and he really did some great work. He even attended the scrapping classes on our past cruise. :cheer2:
