Hey Guys!
I need all your good wishes and prayers. Tomorrow at 9 am I am having surgery to fix a vein in my leg.
Doctor says it will only take 45 min out patient and will only feel at worst like a bee sting.
As I remember, bee stings hurt!. :scared:
I'm not looking forward to it :sad2: but it will be good to have the problem fixed.
My DH is taking me and will be with me which is a relief.
:thanks:
TIA, Carol

Hope everything turns out OK. Will be thinking of you and praying for you.

Carol - Pixie Dust and prayers to you. I had an allergic reaction to a bee sting when I was stung. I don't recall how bad it hurts, but I am now terrified of bees and go running when they get near me. Hang in there, I am sure you will do great and come through with flying colors.

Heidi...I know of what you speak. My friend Jennifer is also allergic to bee stings... she is totally parinoid of them since she could die if stung. Brandy and I run interference for her when ever we see one... but her fear usually pumps up her adrenelin so even if she were stung, I believe she would be fine... but none of us want to find out. So actually you are doing a good thing by running away.
Sandy

Ok, everyone, the web site is now up and running. You can view it at

Too cool, Wan. Thanks!
:thumbsup2

Just read through the posts...boy y'all have a lot going on. I thought that I was stressed with our house closing this week and moving next week! I know that's nothing when compared to health concerns. Here's hoping that everyone feels better soon! :wizard:

Pixie dust and prayers to those that need it. And thanks Alex for all that you are doing. I know we all appreciate it. Wan, I haven't been over to your site yet but thanks for your hard work as well.

I had so many pages to read. You guys have been chatty the last couple of days.

Wow, there has been a lot going on in here lately!

Sandy, I'm glad to hear that surgery went well for your DMIL! Yay! :sunny: And about what happened to your daycare kids...yikes! You DO need a vacation...no worries, only SIX more weekends to go! Hope your husband is back now to help with all those kids!

Crystal, I sure hope you have power by now! Pixiedust for Power! :wizard:

Heidi, I'm sure the jury summons will work out in your favor, do not worry! See you on the ship!

Carol, I'm sending prayers and pixiedust your way for your surgery tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be just fine...everything sounds worse than it actually is! Boy, there seems to be lots of surgeries happening in our group these days. I had my wisdom teeth done 2 weeks ago, Sandy's MIL, Carol, my dog Minnie, and probably a few lurkers at least....

Hello Everyone,

I don't post very often, but we do try to read the thread every once in a while to keep up with everything.

Queenofthecastle - Thanks for the website. That is awesome!!

I was looking through the roster and reviewing the b-days. Steve, looks like we are going to have to share a toast on 9/9!! Happy Birthday to us!! :bday:

Thanks again to everyone like Alex, Crystal for all of the work. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone.

We are getting pretty excited like everyone else. My wife has started sketching fish extenders and we are looking for gifts. Should be a great time!!

See ya! :wave2:

It sounds like this group will be super ready for this vacation. I know that we can hardly think of anything else.

I still have to find or make a fish extender. Don't know what I am waiting for. :confused3 That will be top priority this weekend along with hunting for a new formal. Worse comes to worse I will wear the two from last year, but I would like at least one picture to look a little different.

My DH has been so busy with his work. He spent Friday night and Saturday working on a problem for his work :badpc: . He hardly knew it was the weekend. I know he can not wait to have some R-n-R.

I am going to start packing some of our things this weekend that I know we will not use until the cruise. I use the large Ziploc bags for our kids and I put complete outfits in them. This really worked out great for us on our last cruise. I never had to worry that the boys were puting on clothes that did not match. This also kept their things much neater.

We went to the drive-in this weekend popcorn:: . They were showing Pirates of the Carib. 2 and Cars. It was a great pre-cruise treat and really is getting my gang more fired up about dressing like pirates. pirate:

Whew...I just finished getting caught up on all the pages I missed during the "St. Louis Area Blackout"! After four days, we FINALLY got power about 7:00 p.m. last night! Then it was on to cleaning out the fridge and freezer.

There's so much to touch on...where to start?

Sandy--Sorry about the kids and your DH. I can't stand when people feel it's OK to share their disease with EVERYONE. Get some rest, Sept. will be here soon.

Wan--I'm just about to check out the website. As everyone mentioned, thanks for your hard work. I'm sure it's great.

Alex--Thanks again...you are "the man"!

Hiedi--If you don't find a fish extender, I have extras send me a PM if you need one.

Carol--Good luck with the surgery.

Samantha--Carlin has been tending after Grandma following her cataract surgery, but he'll be home tomorrow night (burning up the IM I'm sure!).

Heidi--Sending you some pixie dust :wizard: to get out of jury duty.

Glad to hear about all the bargains...I'm still looking for another formal. Finally figured out what we are doing in St. Thomas. Carlin and I will hang out on a day pass at Bolongo Bay Beach Club (south of Charlotte Amalie), while Clayton scuba dives with St. Thomas Dive Club from the same beach. Now...Barbados...I think we'll do the Beach Day on the MV Harbour Master or the Tiami Sail & Snorkel...not sure yet.

Looks like Darlene and I may be sharing a ride to Port C. from the airport. If anyone would like to share a ride back to Orlando International, let me know. Might just take Mears back, if they let you do it one-way (Darlene and family are renting a car...more time before their flight back).

Still no cabin number, but all the cat.12s are sold out and only 7 11s left. That's a good sign that it should be a cat. 10 or better! Got my fingers crossed.

Crystal****I will keep my fingers crossed for an up-grade. Looks promising!! :thumbsup2

Sandy****I feel soooooooooo Sorry for you. I have never heard of Hand,Feet, and Mouth disease. :confused3 You must have a lot of patience watching 14 children.

Deana****My time ticker agrees with yours. Hope they are right!!!!!! :rolleyes1

DiaLady***Are you joining our happy group??? Go for it!!!! :woohoo:

Carol*** Hope all went great with the surgery. Just think you will be walking the decks soon. :flower3:

Heidi***I would be having a panic attack if I was called to jury duty NOW. Hope you get out of it. :faint:

Wan***What a great job you did. We have such talented people on this board!!!!!! :artist:

Steve***John is going to try a picture again!!! Who knows what will happen this time??? We tried and the picture was huge even though we did 25%. :badpc:

Just an FYI. I've been having a problem with Photobucket lately. I haven't been able to post some of my pics because at 25% they are the same size as they are at 100%. But, other pics work correctly! That is why in my sig I don't have the pic taken at the same dinner of my dh & 8ds.

I'm hopinng photobucket will unkink soon! Try a couple of different pics and see if they work better!

Well I sent the jury duty place a book with all my travel documents, hopefully that will take care of it. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers!!!

My mom and I still do not have fish extenders. Everytime we try to get them another Diser comes by and scoops them up!!!! We have tried emailing all the ebay sellers but no one is responding back to us. Time is coming up fast so we have to probably find something else in replace of the fish extenders.

Carol - hope everything goes well with you today. We will be thinking of you.

Crystal - glad you got your power back. What a mess it must be to clean up the fridge and freezer. Did a lot of food spoil? You poor thing.

Sandy - how is your DH doing with HFM disease?

Good morning all.

I went shopping yesterday with my DD. :cheer2: We have two weeks of no tax on clothes and school supplies. Her and I both got some shorts, pants and shirts. And my deal of the day was a fancy halter top black dress regularly 79.99 marked down to $15.98!!!! :jumping1: I love it and cant wait to wear it!!!

For our fish extenders, I found some picts of minnie, mickey and the gang etc. and printed them on iron on transfer paper and then ironed them on the fish extender pockets. It looks great!!

I also did that with the 10 nights on the wonder mickey head (the one to make the magnet out of) and put it on a white t shirt. The iron on transfers only cost $7.00 for 6 and the shirt was $7.00. So that was the best deal I could get for a shirt. I am going to make a shirt for each of us.

Dena... what great deals you found... I am never that lucky. Can't wait to see the dress.

Heidi...DH has not mentioned his HFM since he told me he had it, but all I can say is I'm glad he is out of town. LOL So far, I have not gotten it and I intend to keep it that way.

Congrats on the good deals! When you're shopping for so many it is so nice to get some deals along the way! :teeth:

I would love tos ee a pic of your fish extender! Samantha & I are planning on making ours next week -- we are going to Omaha for 4 days this week/weekend. And then week after next she has Ballet everyday for 3 weeks!
What the deminsions of your Fish extender?

Hello, hello.

Sandy, I have done daycare for pretty much 25 years but have only had one family at a time. NICE! Anyway, only one child had HFM. Thank goodness all my families have been responsible people. I am so sorry what you are going through.

Dena, looks like you are getting mighty creative. I need to find time to start making magnets. Hey Heidi, looks like you better come over for a few dinners so we can start.

Speaking of kids, I think I hear a car door. Better run.

Yep...lost EVERYTHING in the fridge and freezer. I've never seen my fridge so clean:rotfl: . We can't even restock yet, because the stores don't have their perishables back in. I'm going to try again tomorrow. Just glad to have the AC back with temps in the 90s!!! Unfortunately, some in the area won't have power back until today or tomorrow.

Steve, I watched the latest video this morning to get myself motivated. We'll got to hit the gym before I get too lazy to go!:lmao:

Thanks sooo much for the info. John and I both thought we were cracking up. My one picture worked and then several were two feet long. I know we are still learning about computers but we keep thinking how dumb we are. If we got one right ,why won't the other pictures work.

Are we still having lunch at Triton's? :confused3 Parrot Cay is the buffet with themes. Tritons is strictly by menu and servers. We only made lunch twice last cruise too. Either swimming or busy but I did managed to gain weight!!!! :rotfl:
