The Running Thread --2025

September Totals:
Run 100.4 Mi
Bike 3.3 Mi lol
Hike 1.8 Mi

Only rode the bike during one tailgate, which is a ride from our parking spot to the park where there is a shower and back after a long run. Also, got our first camping trip in this weekend and did two small trails. Hiking isnt looking good for October due to a bust schedule but hopefully November will be better!

Enjoyed a few runs on the promenade deck in the low 70s.
Did you use your GPS on your watch and get some of those really cool routes out in the middle of the ocean? I always thought those were funny because half of each lap would be a crazy fast pace and the other half would be crazy slow. I want to do it one day just to have a GPS record of it lol. Guess I need to book a DCL soon!
Still until I give it 100 percent effort over multiple years to see what I can do I won’t have an an answer but for sure time is running out and it won’t get any easier.
This is why I dont fully want to riot over it. I ask myself have I done everything I can for 2-3 years to achieve this goal. The answer is no. Beer and cajun cooking is hard to stay away from for that long lol.

September was a pretty good running month for me. Apparently, it’s the most miles I have run in a month over the last year (115), although I don’t go chasing any specific number—it’s just what the plan amounts to. And I have felt pretty good, so I’ll take it! Looking forward to W&D next month. Thought about whether I wanted to do a 10k somewhere for time while I was doing my workout today—by the end of my final interval, I think I decided the answer was no!

I did use GPS on first run however it thought I had done crazy PBs and receded them so I deleted it as I didn’t want it messing up with what was recorded, one was a 12 minute 10k !! Wish it were true then I would definitely be Boston bound 🤣🤣

I am looking for a great/fun half marathon for next fall. This will be my first half so nothing to crazy with elevation since I live close to sea level and won’t have a ton of time to acclimate before the race. Hoping to make a road trip out of it from Southern Ontario. Any suggestions to checkout is greatly appreciated.
I don’t know that I’d call it “fun”, but the Georgina Half is a good, flat race if you’re trying to get a PB. They have a race in the spring and fall. I’m thinking of maybe running it in the spring to get a corral A POT for dopey 2027.

September totals:
Run: 16 activities for 105.42 miles, 11:35 average pace, elevation gain 4,111
Walk/Hike: 12 activities for 43.97 miles
