I think a monorail carriage on our front lawn would look fantastic but can you imagine the shipping charge to the UK? :rotfl2:

I would love to think of what HM Customs would have to say !

It's been comfirmed (by someone that just got off the ship yesterday) that the lanyard & pin are in addition to the regular CC gift.

I love my Ducky Williams print that I've received as our Conceirge gift. We also have a small print that he did of the Primevil Whirl (AK) that 8DS received from the CM's that were working at Primevil Whirl one night this Feb )(EMH) and he was wearing his B-day button! They also let him & 15dd ride it 8 times in a row -- he turned 8 that trip. :thumbsup2
We couldn't believe how neat the print was! What a great gift! pixiedust:

How cool! I hope things don't changes by the time we get on the ship

I can't wait to hear about the trip! DH has tried to talk me into Hawaii forever! LOL! (I don't like the beach or water)

What Islands? I saw a Travel presentation of Maui this past week and I came home and told dh *OK. Now I want to go to Hawaii!* LOL!

:scared1: YIKES!!... We have 6 Saturdays before we leave! Is anyone as excited about this as I am? My legs have been jiggling all day just thinking about it! :Pinkbounc

I don't know who is the most excited in our house at the moment, my DW(Helen) or my DD6(Bethan). Yesterday we called into Woolworths in our town and they had an Elizabeth Swan costume so after a brief discussion, it appears that Bethan is now fully sorted out for Pirates Night pirate: on the cruise !!

We also bought a few other Pirate things for depositing in Disers Fish Extenders - just hope they don't get crushed with the other luggage we are bringing.

Yet again it's been unusually hot here in the UK with the temperature locally rising to 31oC / 88oF today so once again I got sunburned. I really do not like hot weather here in the UK but I can cope with it easily in the States or the Med - apparently it's a humidity issue.

Last night I was polishing my car at 9:30 in the night as it was only then it was cool enough. I fully intended to polish Helen's car tonight but it's only a few months old, I'm too tired, I can't be bothered, so it can wait.

Tomorrow, Helen's father and step-mother :maleficen come from Wales to visit us for the first time - I'm not really looking forward to it as I've only spoken to her step-mother :maleficen once in 10 years so it should be a few fun-packed days - I'm temorarily promoted to Manager in work at the moment so I have a funny feeling I will be VERY busy this week ;)

Which means I have a few major decisions to make this week..... Buy or Rent Tuxes for DH & 26ds.... Buy atleast one more dressy dress for me and a couple for 15dd -- BTW we she's home from camp now!! :cheer2:

Ok. I feel I really need to post so thaat we will be on the first page. ;)

I have found some great Pirate clothes! I'm hoping 15dd & 23dd will wear them... and 26ds...... we'll see!

I've decided that I will need a seperate suitcase for the Pirate costumes & formal atire!

For those of you that have alot of stuff to pack... (trinkets, snorkle gear, etc)

Does everyone know that you can mail packages to yourself on the ship... ?
I personally have not done this as this is only going to be my second cruise and the first cruise that I am not able to drive to the dock... but many cruisers have told me that you can mail boxes to your stateroom on the ship an they will "be there" when you board. Here is the info that I was given.

Here is what you do to ship packages to DCL:

Disney Cruise Line
9001 Marlin Street
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

MARK EACH BOX IN BIG LETTERING IN BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

Sail date: 9/7/2006
Vessel: Disney Wonder
Stateroom #
Confirmation #
How many boxes (i.e. 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING

I printed out a really fun Goofy graphic on a label and put DELIVER THIS IMPORTANT BOX TO: with the info underneath. I also requested a delivery confirmation so I knew that my boxes got to Florida safe and sound. Like I said, they were all in our stateroom when we arrived. I didn't hear of anyone who shipped stuff having any problems. I don't have the phone number of the DCL office in Port Canaveral with me, but the person at the shipping warehouse we talked to was Kelly. She was awesome. Just don't think she knew how many packages she really was going to get before the PC cruise.

Thanks for the info. I might consider doing that. So much to bring and so much we have to carry. Last cruise just DH and I had two carry pieces and checked 3 large suitcase. One large suitcase was for little things I would need to buy. :rotfl2:

Good moring everyone. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We had a party on Sunday for the office staff Carolyn works with. When the house tour got to the Disney room, it was a challenge to explain a fish extender to people who have not been on DCL or have never cruised at all. I'm still not sure some of them understood the explanation.

Even though we live in Florida, we thought about mailing a few things like costumes, laundry tabs, etc., things that were not essential if the box did not arrive. Then we can pack more wine in the suitcases!!! Alex

"Then we can pack more wine in the suitcases!!! Alex"

Good thinking Alex...:rotfl2:
That is exactly what I'm mailing... laundry stuff, snorkle gear, extender gifts... things that I won't be needing for the first 5 days of my trip at WDW

Yep, I have mailed 4 packages and never had a problem. I highly recommend it. Just remember when you mail something to make sure that it is just for the trip and is disposable. Otherwise, you will either have to worry about getting it in your suitcase or finding somewhere at the port to mail things back to your address after the cruise.

Talk about HEAT! It has been in triple digits the last couple of days with more to come. I hate HEAT!

On the Repo, Ducky's lithographs were for everyone. Not just the Castaway CLub. He said then that he was working on one for this cruise. He is such a neat guy! On and off the ship. For that matter, we got to ride the elevator alone with Roy Disney and his wife. They were so nice and personable. Just like "regular" people.

I met Roy Disney at his book signing at the Disney Store where I worked. He was extremely friendly and patient. Like you said " he is just a regular guy."

I think Ducky is the same way!!!!! We got to talk with him and lucky us, we won a sketch of Stich. When we purchased a limited edition lithograph, he told us he was doing a special one just for the 10 day trip on the Wonder. He said we should consider going. It was too late. We already booked the cruise while still on board.

Is it confirmed that he will be on this trip????????

Just testing to see if I posted this picture. If this works I'll explain later.
This is Cheryl's DH. If it doesn't work then it's back to the drawing board.

Happy Monday everyone. We just got back from the VB resort. We only stayed one night with the whole family in the grand villa. This was the first time we have stayed in the villa, it was georgeous!!! I loved it!! And we had beautiful weather. :sunny:
