This will be the first vacation we (me Mary and DH Tom) have taken with our 4 yo DD Grace. Up until now all of our trips have been to visit family in Michigan. Missouri and Texas.

This will also be our first cruise and our first trip to the Caribbean (unless you count Key West, which we loved).

Everytime I think I can't possibly get more excited, I read this board and get more excited. We love pirate parties. We are definitely going to dress like Pirates!

Hi Poohpunkin!
We took our real 1st family vacation on the Disney Cruise when our dd was 4 also. It was also our 1st time on a ship and to the Caribbean. She loved it. I am sure your little girl will be in princess heaven princess: . They treat the kids on the ship like royalty.

Our dd is now 6 and this is her 3rd cruise. We are hooked.

I have been to St. Thomas but does anyone know another great island to shop that we will be in port? :confused3 Today I am going to practice how to just relax and get a little sun today. :beach:

I've not been to any of the Ports before -- except CC ;-) so, I'm not familiar with the available shopping.

Good idea about the sun and relaxation. :)

Relaxation is good but there is no sun in SW FL today. We have had severe thunderstorms all day.
Of course the dogs still have to be walked. First they don't want to go out because it is raining, then they don't want to come in because it is raining.
Go Figure. :smooth:

I got a fish extender from ebay for only 99 cents .. how cool is that :woohoo: Now that I have it, what do I do with it? I know I hang it outside the door! Somewhere I read that people leave notes etc. Who does this? Do we all bring along a little something to place in other people's pockets? Is it similar to a scapbooking swap?

Do you want me to add y'all to the Roster?

How do we do that? :thumbsup2

Either PM me with your info -- names (ages if you want), either cabin # or cat # if cabin unknown, late or early dinner. :) Also, dates if you are celebrating anythig onboard.

My understanding is yes, if you want to participate. Do not feel that you have to - kwim?

I am a newbie too. From what I read on the board, we can bring little things or write notes to our fellow Disboards. Its sounds like fun!!!! :woohoo: You got a great bargain for your fish extender. :thumbsup2 The one I found on E-Bay was $5 and $4 for shipping. I got my :sunny: but think I got too much.

I hope you do not mind but I had to register for that great MICKEY time line. :guilty: I have never seen that before. It is great. :thumbsup2

You are so right about planning another trip. I just may have to consider the Med cruise next summer just so I can be on the board and use lots of tickers. :rotfl:

Our dd definitely cannot get enough of the princesses. She is pretty excited about pirate night too.

Three cross-country trips with your dd -- I am impressed! The 6 hour flight is the only downside to the cruise. We have to work on Disney to base a ship on the West Coast.

I am with you on the west coast Disney ship. It was great on our last cruise to just drive and hour to the port of Los Angeles. :thumbsup2

Hi guys, back from a WONDERful weekend!!! Went and saw Pirates on Friday night....it was crazy. Waited in line for 20 minuted to purchase the tickets at 2:00pm for the 7:30 showing, went to dinner and waited an hour in line for a great seat. I really liked the movie, but the cliff hanger is killing me and wanting them to release the 3rd one now!!!!

Still have not been lucky enough to get a fish extender, I forgot what to search for on ebay...can someone please remind me. My mom and I arleady have some ideas on what little trinkets to leave everyone in their fish extenders.

I'm excited for all of these little girls! (and boys!) My 5dd is very friendly and loves meeting new people - I think that is why she loves the club so much!

Our 8ds told me that he is going to try to go to the club for first day or two specifically so that he can meet some other kids and have more fun in the club.
He is *put off* by loud, rowdy, goofy boys -- you know *normal* boys! LOL! Maybe he can find a couple of boys he can talk WOW or COH, COV with..... Then I won't have to hear it! LOL!

Search for "hanging pocket organizer".. you can also do "hanging 5 pocket organizer" and you might get lucky enough to find a Mickey one.

And Sandy, I would really like the pink one that is up for auction now.... but, I won't bid against you! :lmao: I hate to see the price driven up for no reason!

Stephanie... I want that one BECAUSE it is pink.. I have a blue one that I will "gift" IF :hyper: I get the pink one. Do you have one?

Here's one I purchased on eBay. I plan to split it into three strips, using only one with the Mickey hand attached at the top. I also purchased a mesh laundry bag from the same seller for the ONE day I plan to do a couple of loads of washing on the ship:laundy: .
