Here's who we are still missing... (updated to Friday night...)

Sorry for the delay, Monica and I may not be going on the cruise due to new business commitments that have come up.

Should we make it, my favorite is Ariel and Monica's is Stitch.

I have clothes laid out on spare bedroom bed for the cruise. Poor John will have to put his clothes on the floor. So hard to decide what to bring. :rolleyes1 Maybe I should just bring everyting. :rotfl2:

I am glad the days of packing for kids are done. Sometimes I do not know how we managed 14 day vacations with them. :confused3 It is a lot of work just packing for two.

I've started putting things in my spare bedroom also. Its getting a bit crowded in there. I hope I have room left for the suitcase. :rotfl2:

My dd21 packs herself these days. :woohoo:

I still have to pack for dh. He cant organize a suitcase to save his life. :rotfl:

I am inserting everyone's favorite chracters onto Rate Queen's spreadsheet. If you would like a copy of the spreadsheet, PM me and I will e-mail it to you.
We are still missing characters for lots of people... While it would be great to have them for everyone, it would be especially nice to have the favorite characters of kids who have birthdays while we are on board. THanks to everyone who has supplied theirs already! :thumbsup2

Okay Steph. Don't for get to let me know your final count of suitcases. If not I will have to ask your daughter Pirana .

Usually when we travel for 2 - 3 weeks then we visit a laundrymat in the middle of the trip! :teeth:

I have bought 5 new suitcases in the past 8 days....... I hope not to need anymore! LOL! I can't believe we just bought new suitcases last October!
When I went to buy the new pieces and Macy's decided to stop carrying our color after just a few months (it was a new color last Fall & they stopped carrying it in Dec!!!).
I felt bad since dh had wanted black suitcases and I wouldn't do it. :sad2: I just had to be difficult! SO, I bought new pieces in black but, the same style. :teeth:

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can certainly understand work needs!

One of the benefits of dh travelling for so many years (he used to travel 2 -3 wks out of every month) is that he can pack in a matter of minutes! :rotfl: :rotfl: I only pack for me & the 2 youngest kids. :teeth:

That's where I got the idea that we picked a bad time. :) Not really *bad* just LOUD.

Ah ok, wasn't sure if you had seen it or not.

I saw on a couple of pin sites (and on ebay) that there will be at least 2 special pins for the 10 & 11 Southern cruises!!!! One per person.

I am so excited! One of them is due out on Sept 8th & the other (the *piece of history* one) on the 15th. :thumbsup2

OH! OH! THANKS FOR THE REMINDER!!! I'm going to have to get my pins from home!! I was so upset, because I forgot to get a year pin in Feb. Who would have thunk it! I now get a second chance to get one. :cool1:

So will they give them out to us or are they to be purchased? If I have to buy them, I would like to know when and where so I can get a good spot in line!!!

We can buy them. There shouldn't be a line since there are limits -- 1 per person. From what I read it sounded like they were just going to be in the shop -- Mickey Mates?

Hello there,

Wow, you guys have 192 pages in chatting and I'm just now chiming in! I feel lost! :confused3

This is my first cruise and I am very excited as well as so not ready because I only booked it a few weeks ago. It was, in fact, a very last minute decision!

I am Karen, and a mom to five wonderful kids. My dh will be staying home to watch the kids and work while I am on the cruise with my friend Janelle and her 3 year old son, DJ. I am extremely ready for the break, and once we return to Cape Canaveral after our cruise I'll be meeting my dh and kids along with other friends at a previously planned week at WDW, All Star Sports.

We just got all of our docs on Saturday and I think I am more in shock than anything right now. I've got lists upon lists of what to pack for the kids for WDW, what to pack for me, what dh needs to remember to bring for the trip, what dh needs to do for school and meds and soccer and so on and so forth.

I am going backwards and trying to catch up a little on what has been going on with this group. Any last minute advice anyone wants to send will be most appreciated. Just working on the notes and figuring out clothing for cruising and all of that fun stuff.

For those of you that have done this a few times, I've got a couple of questions:

1) What is your favorite spa treatment and why?
2) What is the duct tape for on all of the packing lists????

Thanks so much in advance. I've got a lot of catching up to do, but I am looking forward to the cruise of a lifetime!!!!

Have a great night all!
until then pirate: ,

Karen

Welcome!! :welcome: We like to talk around here!!! :hyper2:

Sounds like you have a big trip planned for yourself and your family! Leave hubby detailed notes. :rotfl2:

The only thing I've had done was my hair for dinner one night. I wasn't impressed with the guy at all. I pre-washed my hair and went with it damp, with my own hair pins. All the guy had to do was just put it up. For 15 minutes. I was charged 45 bucks. :sad2: Others might have had better experance than me.

As for the Duct tape! :rotfl2: How else are you going to keep the kids quiet? No really, if you luggage is messed up, it's a great fixer for that type things. Some use it to tape their curtains close.

Hi Karen - Welcome! :welcome:

My favorite spa treatment is to do the "Sampler" when they offer one. You get to pick two treatments for 25 minutes each...so, you get to learn about different treatments. I like to combine the hot stone massage (which does a great job on your back and neck) with a reflexology which is wonderful on the feet and lower legs. It's a party for your feet party: and revives you from your shore excursions so that you can dance the night away! :dance3:

By the way, I've cruised alot and have never brought duct tape!

Be sure to check out our web site, there is a link on the first page...it has all of the necessary details, so that you don't have to read this whole thread...(unless you want to ;) )

I am so glad we'll be able to buy them on the ship. My dh found out about them and now I have orders to get them. :thumbsup2

I don't do any packing for our trips. Even this one. When we were first married, I packed my clothes for a weekend trip and he took one look at the suitcase and said no way jose! :teeth:

My job for our trips is to get my clothes together while he gets his clothes together and then I stand at the table set up in the kitchen and fold them.

He does not have the patience for folding clothes. :sad2:

NutzaboutDisney My spa treatment is the Hot Stones. They have lava type stones that they heat up to about 110 and then with oil they take all the kinks and muscle aches out of your body. Pure Heaven.

Chris

how to make these photos smaller? I am sorry they are so big...and taking up space.... I used photobucket and told it to make them 25 % of their original size...HELP :confused3

Oops...now they are too small!!!! My pictures have fallen into the weird world of Alice in Wonderland!!! First they are giant...now they are tiny...oh well...I'll try again tomorrow.

I just tried again and now they are big again...I'll keep trying...

Okay...I can live with this size...now add 8 years and many gray hairs and you will know who to look for at sailaway!!! :rotfl:

Welcome,Karen. You'll get to know us quickly, we are such a fun bunch. PM your info to Stept5. She is keeping a list of all of us.
Take a deep breath and do one thing at a time. You will get evrything done in time that way and not stress out too much. :thumbsup2
