I am hoping to use this thread for those that have been actually received a refund. That will help all of us who are looking for information on getting our refund. So, if you have received your full 50% refund, please let us know.

Full refund = (the total paid minus insurance) x 50%

PLEASE LET US KNOW.

I know you originally intended the thread for the 50% refunds for those who actually cruised, but we DID receive our 100% refund as a cancelling 9/4 cruiser as of late last night. It came in the form of NINE separate credits to our credit cards on several different days (officially, though they were all posted yesterday night). So, make sure you look in several places for your refund! :)

We received what appears to be our "50%" refund on our card posted when I looked this morning. Posting date was 9/20/04. There are several credits. The total is about $28.74 less than what I thought was our 50% cruise fare of $999. But then again, my addition could be off or they are doing something else.

Oh well, I can live with that if they come through on refunding my Port Orleans FQ room on 9/6/04 which I had to make at the very last minute Sunday night, 9/5/04, and pay rack rate for.

We shall see. :D

Doctor P - so glad you got it all back!!!

paulmc80 - I could deal with $28.00 less but not hundreds.

Can someone explain what "bump" means?

Oh "bump" is just a word used in a post when trying to keep the thread high enough up on the board so people notice it there. Kinda like bumping to the top of the list.

our refund was posted lastt night and it was a lot more than i expected..that was a nice surprise!

Couldn't make it on the 9/4 - 9/11 sailing...called yesterday said it should be on cc by end of the month...just checked online cc and all of it is back in 7 credits...it's there so I am happy.

:) :)

WisconsinDisneyGirl & ganurse - was yours 100% or 50%?

I'm so glad everyone seems to be getting theirs back. I got a partial and am waiting to check the other card - it's on out of the country visa (don't ask -haha) so it will take a little while to check out.

So I'm still wanting to make sure that those of you that say you are getting the full 50% refund - is it the 50% refund I stated at the first post (including taxes and port stuff)? I think I'm in disbelief!!

Keep posting

I don't understand how the rebates are being done for those of us lucky enough to be on the 9/4 Magic-- I am holding off on calling on the phone because I remember being appreciative that Disney tried to make it easier for us when we were trying to find out what was going on with our trip.

As per my initial confirm from Disney had Fare of $2,796, Ground
transfersof $196 and govt fees and taxes of 199.40 total $3,191.40.

A refund of $896 was credited to my Amex -- but this is only 32% of fare.

Of course this will mean more phone calls I'm sure.

Itsawrap,

Did you buy air from DCL? Did you buy the travel insurance? What category were you in?

Our cruise fare for a Category 11 was about $850 per passenger for two of us, including fees and taxes. We actually paid closer to $825 per person with the DU rebate. That was the fare upon which our refund was based. Perhaps you had a verandah or much higher tier category, but if not the difference might be answered from the questions I posed.

Checked my card today and they posted 3 different credits that don't add to even 50% of the fare alone (no port fees, no insurance, no tax)

Here are the details:
We paid $1780 fare for all of us and we got back $712 which is 40% of the fare, not 50%.

Looks like I'll be on the phone some more.

Be patient and look hard--my credits ended up getting posted over several days and were odd amounts. NINE credits in total to two different cards.

Just sent my new email to guest relations concerning the refund. We'll see.

Received a letter from DCL yesterday. Was hoping it would be regarding the "25%" off next cruise gimmick. It was just a prinout of my onboard account correcting it for the $200 onboard credit for re-booking last year. They didn't give this to me onboard and credited my card for it.

Rather looking forward to more information, in writing, about this 25% off next cruise thingy. That was the best offer they could book any at cruise for us onboard? If I'm not mistaken all cruise dates through calendar year 2005 were available for re-booking at the 10%/$200 obc offer prior to our cruise.

has anyone received their 25% voucher for next cruise? what number do i call to find out about it
