Here is the background:
long time lurker on these boards finally posting because I have stepped in it big time. As a surprise birthday gift for my daughter, I purchased 2 cabins last minute for the 9/3/09 cruise. Great right, wonderful dad!! Big problem, I didn't realize my infant daughter had to be added on to the rooms. So I get the cruise documents and my wife starts freaking out because our youngest daughter isn't included. I call
DCL and they tell me ship is full.
We have a category 6 and a category 7. Category 7 says it only fits 3 people, but the category 6 says it fits 3 or 4. So I call first thing this morning and they tell me there is nothing they can do because our cabin only fits 3.
Arggg, I can't really complain because it was my fault for not putting her on the reservation, but shouldn't the cabin I reserved be able to fit 4. The guy I spoke to was nice and consulted his supervisor, but they can't help me. I asked if they could simply switch a cabin that only has 3 to our cabin and move us to theirs but they said they can't ask people to move.
So, if they can't ask people to move I figured I can come on here and ask if anyone sailing on the Sept. 3 cruise on the Wonder would be willing to switch their 4 person category 6 cabin for my 3 person. I realize this is a long shot at best, but the alternative is me staying at home and putting my infant daughter in my place. We have 3 adults going so the rooms would have enough adults in them to watch the kiddos.
The ultimate last minute birthday gift for my daughter is turning into my ultimate nightmare. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share them with me.
If anyone is able to help and switch cabins I would be eternally grateful and I would without a doubt like to meet up with you on the cruise to show my appreciation.
