9/28/13. Disney Wonder 7 night Bahamian out of Galveston.

:scratchin So, how is everyone on their planning?

I am so behind. Last month was so busy with different activities for the kiddo and this month is filling up fast. Ugh! I did get several FE gifts done last night. Yay! I think if I get organized I will feel better. Is anyone else waiting on the new edition of the cruise Passporter? It is what I usually use to organize all our Disney trips and I am feeling lost without it on this one.

We have planned as much as we are going to, which isn't much! :lmao: We have Palo brunch and dinner booked and we aren't booking any excursions this time for any of the ports. :goodvibes This may possibly be our laziest cruise yet. :thumbsup2

Wow! I'm IMPRESSED with how much some of you already have done!

We've been so busy, that this go 'round doesn't seem quite as organized as last time, but I figure I still have time!

We've got our plane tickets, checked in online, got our pre cruise hotel, and booked CS for the Aquaventure in Nassau. Other than that?:confused3 We're just gonna 'go with the flow'. I've checked into Key West, and there's just not enough time to do alot, so we're gonna wing that one. And last time on CC, we loved the spontaneity of doing what we wanted:beach:, WHEN we wanted, so I think we'll do that again.

I will say this: If you haven't booked your pre cruise hotel in Galveston, might want to do it soon. I checked Harbor House and they've gone up $100 since I booked. And Airtran has changed our flights once already...so I'm glad we went ahead and booked early with plenty of time!

I called Tuesday HH Tuesday night and was told they were booked. finally found a room at travel lodge for 120.00 - they only had 6 rooms left then.

passports - passport cards - my family has none of these, do we really have to have them on this cruise? some say yes some say no.

They may have rooms held for online bookings, because hotels.com and their own website still shows availability. The rate is a bit expensive, but it is there if anyone had their heart set on HH. 2 Queens=$197 for non-refundable on hotels.com and $219 for refundable on hotels.com and their own site.

When we sailed on the Magic in Galveston, we were alone in port. We're not so lucky this time having the deeply discounted Carnival Triumph in with us. If you are driving in the day of the cruise, give yourself ample time to drop off bags and park. Galveston's port really doesn't have the best traffic flow.

No, you are not legally required to have them on this cruise. There will be plenty of people sailing with their driver's licenses/IDs and birth certificates.

Just understand that if something were to go wrong and you did not return to Galveston via the Wonder (missed the ship in a port, medical emergency that required you to fly home, etc.), you will need to apply for a temporary US passport from whatever country you are in. This would require traveling to an embassy/consulate and staying in the country until your temporary passport has been approved (likely one to a few days, depending on their work load, operating hours, holidays, etc.).

If you travel on birth certificates, make sure you have the correct type. It needs to be the FULL or LONG government issued version with both parents names on it. It can not be a hospital birth certificate or hospital record.

how can I add to the special special occasions that we are cebrating on our cruise to the FE list that we are on? or is it too late

:thumbsup2 Just a quick add....was on Travelocity and Expedia this morning...Both have Harbor House for $179. for Sept 27th. Still pricey, but still available, although I saw where 7 people had booked this hotel in the last few days...HTH's!

 Hi Jamilynhunt! Hmmmm...magical way...Depends on what you want to keep straight. If it's your FE group, I'd print out your Group B list, and keep it with you. If it's everything about the cruise? I keep a Magical pixiedust: notebook with all my cruise info in it. I mean EVERYTHING from flights, hotel, excursions, FE stuff, so that I can run to it quickly. :rotfl:

There are TONS of FE threads, and if you access the Cruise Forum (besides Aggiegrl's links) on the FAQ sticky threads, there is also FE info in there. If there's a book, I've not seen one, though that'd be a great idea!

Just have fun with it! First, create or buy your FE, and then get creative and look at your lists. But NO stharessing over it!

And you should be just about up to 10 posts, so if you need to pm any of us, you can after that post. Just click a member name in the left column, and it'll say "send a private message' and/or just ask on here...easy peasy! Have fun no matter what you do!:goodvibes

thank you for all the advice

FE Group A, question for you. I have a request from a cabin in Group B to move into Group A for personal reasons. Does anyone have a problem with this?

Group A is down to 26 cabins at this point. Please let me know privatly if you have objections or concerns...best way is by PM here on the boards or the email that is on the FE sign up link. If you need more info I'll be happy to answer your questions privately.

If we have no objections raised in the next week, I will transfer this cabin over on Saturday, July 13.

I just saw that The Little Mermaid 3D is being released in September. Crossing my fingers we get to see it on board. My children have never seen it since the DVD is in the vault and so hard to come by. :)

that would be sooooo cool!!!!!!

We are going on this cruise to celebrate my DD's 12th (Golden) birthday. We were suppose to do a 4-day cruise and 4-5 days at WDW, unfortunately cutbacks at work forced us to change our plans. For the original trip we would have been in the parks or on the ship on her actual birthday and we were suppose to do Not-So-Scary. Now we will be sailing a couple weeks later. I would like to do something special for her to makeup for some of the things she is missing by not going to the parks. My TA said we could arrange a cake one night but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas, tips, secrets on ways to celebrate. Thanks!

I need some help from you DCL veterans, july 15th is the ON LINE CHECK IN /MY CRUISE ACTIVITIES day. Besides the excursions what else do I need to sign up for on the 15th? Taking the whole family son, wife and I. Any advice?????

Sorry to hear that you had to change your plans, hopefully the cruise will still be a really fun thing to do to celebrate her birthday. I know that you can buy a birthday decoration package through the DCL website. I believe they have the room decorated for you when you arrive. You can always do special magnets for your door for her too. Hopefully some others will have some other ideas. :goodvibes

When you check in, you will also need to choose your port arrival time. It's also a good time to go ahead and pre-register your son up for the kids clubs (if he is old enough), or book nursery time if he is young and you want to use it. Any Palo dining and spa treatments can be booked as well. pixiedust:

:welcome: We think your 12dd is gonna LOVE this birthday present! A couple of helps for you...First of all, your TA can call Disneycruise and get them to celebrate your dd's birthday on a specific night. We did this last cruise, and it was great! They'll come to your table, and make a big deal for your child. You can also see if guest services has "Birthday Buttons", not sure, but I'd try. You can also leave a special pillowcase, mat, or anything else at guest services to be signed by the characters. They'll get it back to you on Friday before debarkation. And the birthday magnet on your door would be great too! You can make one of those, or get someone creative to make one for you. Etsy has lots of Mickey and Minnie birthday stuff...that'd be an easy one. Also, even if your not taking part in an FE, you could always make her a special bag and deposit special birthday gifts in it everyday. And/or little 'tink' gifts that she comes back to cabin and finds (your room host usually doesn't mind taking part in helping with that) or you can put them out when she sleeps. We bought our dd a vera Bradley hipster specifically for the 'wave' phone, and she loved it! Just a few ideas for you! Have fun no matter what you do! And welcome again to the cruise meet!

You will also need ALL your passport info...Ie: number, expiration, etc. and all your credit card information, and all your flight information. I forgot all of that until I checked in last week. Hope this helps!:)

Hi - My husband and I are leaving our kiddos at home and cruising ALONE for the first time ever. Can we still participate in the FE on this cruise? Sounds really fun and something I'd enjoy, just not sure if there's an age limit?
