WELCOME!!!! Elantrice and family :goodvibes
That's great your cruising with family so you already know someone on board.

This is a great and friendly group although they have slowed in their posting lately. I think lots of people are busy with summer sports and such with their kids so they don't post quite as much.

But I am a chatter box and am here all the time. If I miss a day I am probably on a cruise some where

I am Kathy and DH is Greg.
We have kids but they are grown and on their own so its just us this time.
Although you may see me acting like a kid on the ship. I do tend to be a bit crazy at time, Disney crazy that is. You just never know what I am going to do when I am having fun on a cruise :rolleyes1

I see your coming this year to WDW a couple of times. Maybe we can have a mini meet? I live 10 miles from WDW. I will be moving in September but will still be only a 15 to 20 minute drive to WDW. I often go there to meet people. Let me know what you think when the time is closer if your interested. I promise I will behave myself, maybe???

Looking forward to chatting you and your sister while waiting for this cruise.

Kathy

:welcome: to our crazy group!! How fun to have a girls trip!! I wouldn't get out the door without DH! :lmao:

Like Kathy, it's just DH and I on this cruise. We are empty nesters and this will be our 13th Disney cruise. We are taking the kids and grand kids in January, this one is ours! ;)

Hi Kathy and Stephanie!!
Thank you so much for the welcome. I am very excited about this cruise. My first experience on DCL was on the Dream in 2011. I loved it. Yes I am WDW quite often and would love a mini meet-up. My baby is my blog (DizThruBrownEyes.com) but I do claim my nephew. My sis (jgive) usually feels like a third wheel when I am with that toddler. There is nothing like #auntienephewlove LOL

There is nothing wrong with being a big kid. I just hope we don't get kicked off the ship for being such a fun group!!!!

Well I havn't been kicked off the ship yet, but did have a close call one time.

One cruise meet group had a ladies only meet on a sea day in the adult pool area just outside Cove Café. It was only 11 a.m. but a few ladies had already had several Tropical beverages and were feeling rather spry :rolleyes1

There was maybe 15 of us and we were just chatting and laughing when he comes the ships First Officer in his uniform and he was very handsome so one lady shouts out VERY LOUD Hey are you the male stripper we ordered

Now everyone around the adult area got dead silent at this point. He was so nice he quietly said No Mam we don't have strippers on Disney ships and as he walked away she shouted But we have CASH!!! :rotfl2:

It was really funny but also very embarrassing to me since I was the only one who wasn't drinking. Once they had a few drinks nothing embarrassed them . LOL!!

Good thing he was a good sport.

DW and I have TENTATIVE plans to visit WDW during the first week (or so) of January. Friends from Europe will be in town, so we were hoping to start of the year (with a new batch of vacation time) in WDW. We'll post when we know more!

--- Was that Handsome Daniel? He is now the replacement Hotel Director for the Fantasy, when Lloyd Machado is on vacation!

If they remember that group of ladies they may ask for time off before we board the ship if they think we are back :lmao: We did cruise together 3 years in a row.

Not sure of his name. It was on the Magic. I believe 2007, the week after Thanksgiving.

A few days ago, a DISboards post (not on this thread) suggested there would be a change in fall 2014 itineraries, which would interrupt our 9/27/2014 cruise. There was discussion about this situation on our FB page.

Yestderday, a non-DISboards Travel Agent posted the following information, which seems to clarify the situation ... and as such ... should put everyone at ease:

Having recently returned from the EB TransAtlantic Cruise on the Magic, I thought it might be a good idea to borrow an idea from our "itinerary."

One morning (or evening), I'd like to have a gathering of shutterbugs ... to roam the upper decks of the Magic ... taking pictures of the sunrise (or sunset) ... either with, or without portions of the Magic in foreground frame (photographers choice).

Accordingly, I posted a quick note on our DISboards thread (page one, post #1 or #2). Please note ... sunrise is slated for 6:50 - 6:55AM, while docking (or all ashore) time is 7:00 - 7:15AM. We will have to address whether this event occurs on our lone Sea Day (Sunday, 9/28), or our lone LATE port day (Friday 10/3). As with anything else ... we can defer further discussion on this until Fall 2014.

We usually take one evening to walk around taking sunset photos and sometimes photos of the moon peaking out from the clouds. The photos come out great. We are usually up for a few sunrises too.
So we may join you.

We are also going to be there in January...the 8th to the 12th with the whole Fam Damily. We are all sailing on the Dream on the 12th. Right now we have a grand Villa at Saratoga Springs, but looking for something else since we've done that twice with the kids. Who knew all the Grand Villas would be booked up in January!!!

I know Dave and I would be interested. We were up at 4 AM on out NY cruise to nowhere to get photos of us sailing back into New York, and caught some great shots of the skyline and sunrise.

I feel a mini cruise meet in the works :worship::worship::worship:

We all need to stay in touch about when both of you come to WDW. It would be great if we could all meet up for a bit to say hello.:thumbsup2

If you guys both come at different times I should still be able to meet up with you individually, if you want.

I won't stay long enough to disturb your vacation schedule, just to meet up and chat a bit.:goodvibes
