9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Yay for buying the camera! I need to get a disposable underwater digital (or two) to have with me at the waterparks and for the islands during the cruise.

Work is ok. I booked a Disney trip for a client in November. He's called me about 10 times since last week and he finally booked today. He went from wanting to stay at Pop, to POFQ, and finally decided on Coronado Springs. Has anyone ever stayed there? I can't fault him on it. I'm notorious for my resort switching.

hiya! cor you two have been chatty! i've been awol on the net all afternoon because i thought i'd be nice and did all of gary's ironing. he's got about 3 times as many clothes as i do and it took me 3 straight hours. not going to be doing that again in a hurry. and i've gotta go cook dinner in a mo!

at the mo the list on page 1 is the correct list. i've emailed erica, tom, and petunia to give them a last chance to join in. once i hear back i'll PM everyone with the final list.

i think i've asked tom and petunia about it before (think i did?), but erica did say she might be interested. if anyone wants to join in after the cut off date i dont think it'll be unreasonable to say that they might not get gifts off everyone. thats what we agreed for our last cruise.

I have enough stuff to make a few more of my homemade FE, and for extra kids. I still have to buy some things too for the big kid bags!

Did we decide on 8 for Jellyrolls? I can't go to Epcot for the EMH because I won't be at a Disney hotel that night, but that's okay because Tim's flight gets in around 10 so i have to pick him up anyways.

I'm so excited that vacation is so close now!!

at the mo we've got 10 rooms, so we all need to make 9 lots of gifts.

i'm a bit peeved at the mo, i spent 3 hours doing gary's ironing, then went and took the dog out, then started preparing dinner. he gets home, notices that i've tidied up, but didnt realise that i'd ironed it all, he just thought i'd folded them up somewhere. i got a "thanks, you didnt need to do that", but then got told that a load of the stuff on the floor was for the charity shop. so i've spent all damn afternoon sorting out his clothes that he couldnt be bothered to put in a bag for the charity shop. he's gone out now to go clean his car, so i've still gotta cook dinner later whenever he gets back. i do wonder why i bother sometimes.....

Karen, that sucks!! I hate ironing, luckily Tim has uniforms for work that are drycleaned by his company, and most of the stuff that he wears doesn't need ironing. I try and buy as low maintenance clothing as possible!!

What are your guys going to wear to dinner? We're eating at Palo the one night, so he'll wear dress pants and a shirt & tie, and I got him some knit khaki colored pants to wear with a hawaiian shirt the other, still have to look for something else for him. He wasn't too happy when I mentioned the tux for a seven day cruise...

i dont normally go gary's ironing, he does it himself. but i thought i'd be nice and do a load of shirts for him so he doesnt have to worry about ironing a shirt every night. well i wont be doing that again any time soon.

i'm going for the casual option, i'm not really a dressy up person, so it'll probably just be crop pants, and a top, it'll probably be too warm to get really dressed up, well thats my excuse anyway! i dont really own any dressy stuff, i'm very much a combats kinda girl.

what day are you doing palo then?

We're doing Palo on Friday, but I booked it at 6 so we will still be able to come to the dining room with everyone, and at least have dessert or something. I wanted to try Palo, but not miss any dining rooms or shows...but, something had to give, so I figured I can live with missing Toy Story. I KNOW Tim can, he hates shows anyways!

we were seriously jetlagged last year, so by friday we were pretty sleep deprived. we went to the theatre to see toy story but i just couldnt stay awake during it. i ended up going back to the room for an hours sleep before dinner. the other 2 shows were awesome, toy story, so so....

So, funny story, we have a couple of gay guys that work in my department (nothing against gay people), and the one just came over to see my new cube and he saw a wedding picture that i have on my desk, and he was like, your husband is hot!! LOL!! So I texted him and he was all freaked out. It was kind of akward...I was like...Thank you?!? What do you say to that!! LOL!!

Saturday Bob and I went to order the cabinet and sink for the bathroom we are having remodeled...we had a very flamboyant salesman assisting us with our order. As we were walking around the showroom, I spotted a corner cabinet that would match everything we were ordering, and I was standing in front of it ohhhing and ahhhhing. Bob told the guy, "Looks like she wants that too, let's give her whatever she wants." Without missing a beat the guy turns to him and says "My oh my you are a keeper! Anymore just like you at home honey? It was priceless, Bob laughed, blushed...and started looking at accessories...then the salesman says "Ohhhh and he can accessorize!" The rest of the day I was teasing Bob about accessorizing.

Mary, I'm not going too dressy for dinner. I have a couple of sundresses I'm going to wear w/flip flops and a pair of bermuda shorts and a nice top.

Is anybody bringing pirate stuff to wear for that night? I've heard people go all out so I'm wondering if I should pick up little stuff to add to an outfit. I do have a Jack Sparrow tshirt. I also have a tshirt with skull and crossbones all over it.

So, all the power went out in my office. I have no idea what happened. I think one of the transformers blew out. It went out around 2, they made us stay the full day, and when I left it was still out. I'm wondering what's going to happen tomorrow. It's pointless for us to be there. The internet and phones are down, so we can't make or receive calls. I was told by my boss to 'use my cell phone' and I asked her point blank if AAA would pay my bill and if not, could I use her cell phone. No way I'm wasting my minutes and I don't want clients having my cell phone number! I like my job but the company as a whole is terrible!

hey yall i am not really dressing up i have a sun dress that i plan on wearing one night and one night i am getting a pirate shirt @ the world and i have a red bandana that im gonna wear and some blue jeans(since the DCL lady said that on pirate night you can wear them no matter which dining room you are in) and of course i have a black and whit outfit for AP (i did it on the last cruise thought it was cute since everything starts in black and white i figured i would too) it is just white khakis with a black shirt nothing really dressy(I have never dressed up for any of the cruises i have been on). 8 sounds like an ok time for jelly rolls i will have to chekc and see what time i have reserved the yatchmen dinner i think we did 5:30 or 6 so we should be good since we will be right at jellyrolls(however when we go back to EPCOT for EMH I am NOT ALLOWED TO DRINK MARGARHITAS!!!) I know i spelled it wrong but other than those i can drink anything else.
Well tonight is my last night at my parents house i am moving my bed and everything else into my house 2morrow my poor mom is soo sad. but i told her she will see my more now than she usually does
ok we still havent gotten our paperwork for the land part of our trip why is it the closer you are to the park the longer it takes for them to get you the paperwork
i will be taking more pictures 2morrow and posting them of the house with all of the furnature minus gregs stuff oh and our wonderful big FRIDGE!!( as Karen would call it an American Fridge) we had to remove the house door the screen door, the trim around the door and the doors on the fridge to get it into the house a modern fridge+house built in 50's doors= pain in butt to get in. the plus is no one can steal it they would beg us to take them to jail after 15min well i better go to bed i have a busy day 2morrow.

yeah we call them american fridges over here, our fridges are so small and puny, but we've got one of the huge double door ones with the ice maker in it. although mum did have to redo the kitchen to get it to fit in!

the weather is getting pretty dark here right now, i caught the weather forecast yesterday and it said we're in for a day of torrential rain tomorrow because of the remnants of hurricane bill.......

i've just PM'd everyone with the (kinda) final FE list, i havent heard back from the 3 people i PM'd yesterday letting them know yesterday was the cut off point. so i think the final count is 10 rooms.
i'll be PMing people with a link to the FE map in a couple of days when i get round to doing it.

lainey, good luck with the moving tomorrow, hope it all goes well!

jenny, hope for your sake that the power is still out, so hopefully you can get a day off/easy day

i'm not doing anything special for pirate night, i dont have anything pirate-y so it'd involve going out and buying something specifically for it, and all my spare money is going towards paying off the rest of the holiday at the mo!
typical though, i went out into town to buy some dollars yesterday, and the exchange rate is taking a nose dive at the mo. i'm going to see if it evens out in the next few days, then just try and get whatever rate i can get at the mo, i dont normally leave it this late.
but, 18 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!! I only got a 76 -- but, it's still passing!! They actually say if you get too high over 75 then you wasted too much time studying (it takes enough time as it is). I was so happy to see the score this morning, it wasn't there at 10 last night, so i figured there is no way it would be there at 7 this morning...but it was!! Yay!!

Less than a month the the cruise!!
