9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

kendal is sooo cute! i tried putting gary's stitch ears on cerby one time, but he didnt look amused. he had that look of "get these things off my head"....
the more i'm thinking of it, i think i wont bother with staying at the boardwalk, its a lot of hassle for one night, if i wasnt doing free dining, and just moving hotels without losing food, i'd stay more than one night at the boardwalk, but the more i think about it, its going to be more hassle than its worth. i'll just get a cab back from a night out. shame because i really wanted to stay there.

Mary - What do you need explained? Maybe it will make more sense coming from another girl. The Rangers lost last night. But they're still up by a game so hopefully they can get the win on Wednesday night. They need to win one of the games in NY if they have a shot at winning the series.

Lainey - your dog is adorable!

Karen - Can't you take the resort buses back to your hotel instead of grabbing a cab? You'd have to transfer buses but you could get one back. Or since I'll have a car, I can drop you guys back of at ASM. It's not like I'm planning on getting wasted that night or anything so no worries!

I just looked at my counter. 4 months and 29 days! I always get excited when I see a new month number even though technically, it's closer to 5 months lol.

I got more NKOTB tickets. 2 shows in 1 week. I'm obsessed.

LOL Jen, I think you ARE obsessed with NKOTB!! But i'm sure the show is good, and it better be since I spent a whole $4 on the tickets!!!!! Seriously though, I'm sure it's fun!!

On the Hockey thing, I think I just need to watch more. And I think they should have more fighting!! There shouldn't be a penalty for that, it's fun!! LOL!! The Blackhawks lost last night also. It's okay, that's the first time that we lost to that team all year, so i'm sure we will still be fine. I'm sure your team will be too!!

I know I'm obsessed. But they're so much fun live!! And this show is supposed to be completely different from the shows I've already seen. At least I didn't drop a grand to go on a 3 night cruise with them! That would've been nuts!

The only difference with the Blackhawks series and the Rangers is that, my team are the underdogs! They weren't even supposed to put up a fight according to most. I'm proud they're giving the Capitals a fight. But the Caps looked plain scary last night.

I love the fighting too! A lot of people don't and want it taken out of the sport altogether.

i'm still lost by all the sports talk! i'll just nod along and pretend i know what you're all talking about
how was/is (i keep forgetting about the time difference!) everyone's day going? mine wasnt too bad, i was kinda dreading it, my boss wanted to go through the company debtors before the board meeting tomorrow (i'm a credit controller so i have to chase the radio station clients for money), i hate doing this as the first time i did it she pretty much ripped me to shreds (in my defence i'd only started the job 3 weeks ago and i'd never done it before so i was learning everything from scratch). last time wasnt as bad, i still came out with loads i had to do, but i think i've got it sussed now! it only took about 10 minutes to go through 3 companies worth of debts, and i've only got one major thing to do. so guess i was worrying about nothing!
plus the day went quicker as i'm normally emailing one of my friends from college back and forth, and today i was emaiing one of the radio station girls too (not about work, just having a chat!). plus i was texting gary all day too, so i'm actually surprised i managed to get any work done!!
i think i've decided against the boardwalk, as everyone's been saying its a lot of hassle for one nights stay. probably the only reason i'd move for one night is if AKV club level was available... i can dream but its always booked up!
found out today that gary's going to be up in glasgow til saturday, he was supposed to be coming back thursday or friday, but he's got a possible-work meeting thing on friday in edinburgh so he wont be back til the weekend. but he's bringing some scottish stuff back for the FE gifts. havent got a clue what but he's going shopping! so yay if its good but i apologise if its bad!

Hey Karen! My day has been ok. Two of my co-workers are at customer service training and the other is giving some kind of a speech at another location. So I'm the only person from my dept in the office today. It was busy this morning but I haven't had much to do in the past couple hours so I've been DIS-ing!

Hi Guys!! My work is busy today. We have this big presentation coming up with the State of IL for our Unclaimed Property, and we just got a copy of it today from our consultants...so now I have to go through and make up schedules from the presentation to present to the CFO, because we are paying a lot of money to the State! So now i'm looking through years of stuff and trying to figure out how to break it up. Hopefully, it won't be too bad!!

So, after I booked the BLT for Sunday night, I found out that the Jazz Band concert I thought I had on Saturday is actually on that Sunday...so now I am just missing the concert, and my DSis (Amy) & I are coming down on Saturday. But it is a lot to stay at BLT on a Saturday, so we are going to stay at the Swan. I've never stayed there before, only at the Dolphin, so i'm excited!! Plus, it's an extra day at Disney, which is always good!! I was looking at the map for Universal earlier too, and it looks (SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Don't tell Tim or his family) pretty cool! I like roller costers, so I think it will be fun!!

I had a terrible nightmare the other day that I went on the cruise and forgot all of my FE stuff So I had to start working on them quickly!! Tim thought it was funny!! I'm sure the stuff from Scotland will be cool!! I've never been to Europe. In 2011 I am supposed to go to Germany with my band, I am excited about that! I hope that we can take a side trip to Euro Disney, which I know is not as good as disney world, but still it is Disney!!

Universal is pretty cool! I love IOA, it's one of my favorite theme parks ever. The Spiderman ride is top 5 out of ALL rides throughout Universal and WDW. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone.

mary, dont go out of your way to go to disneyland paris, its rubbish!! its ok if you havent been to florida, but there's just NO comparison!!

Hey yall my day has been pretty good i just got home from work it has been a really windy day so far.
When we go to Jellyrolls do they have buses that will take us back to our resort? if not i have no clue how we will get back to the Poly (if epcot is closed when we leave jellyrolls) greg and i are thinking of eating dinner over @ the boardwalk that night where should we eat(only TS restaurants)?
Thanks for the complements about Kendal she is a sweetie i just wish she would quit chewing on stuff. I have a little pink jacket for her to wear when its cold outside b/c she starts to shake when we go outside and i feel bad so i got it but her legs are so short that they almost wont stay in the sleeves.
I keep having nightmares that i have forgotten our passports and we can't go on the cruise

if/when we go to jellyrolls i'll be getting a cab back, i've been told the cab fare from boardwalk to all star music should be about $12. given that cab fare from my house to southend (about 4.5 miles) is about £15-20, i thought that was pretty good! i was expecting a lot worse!
i've asked someone to check to see if theres any availability for AKV for any night we're there, hoping there is, i may surprise gary with a night at the lodge!

i will keep my fingers crossed for you about the AKV.
we may have to do the cab thing or leave jellyrolls b4 epcot closes and catch the monorail back to the poly we will see as time gets closer.

i think epcot closes at 9, unless you get a EMH day.
i'm not holding much hope out for AKV, but hey its worth a try!

ps: you'll have to take a pic of kendal in her coat, it sounds so cute! gary tried putting one of his t-shirts on cerby once but it freaked him out! poor pup!

oh just remembered, i bought a cheap a4 size whiteboard last week, i was thinking of putting it on my door (with a permanent marker instead of the whiteboard marker) so people can leave messages. thought it might be a cool souvenir of the trip.
i'll probably put it up quite high on the door though so the kids cant get to it. what do you think the chances are that someone will scribble on it or write something bad/horrible? i dont want it ruined if possible!

we may end up eating at Le Cellier that night i think greg would like it since it is a steakhouse and the menu sounds like he would like it and the pictures aka "food porn" that people have posted on here look REALLY GOOD!!! But we will see. Kendal doesnt really have a problem with the jacket she just freezes when we first put it on her then she has a tiny problem walking with it on its cut.

You can take the monorail from Epcot or you could take the Boardwalk's bus to DTD and transfer to a Poly bus. I will most likely have my car if anyone needs a ride.

i think the white board idea is a good idea but maybe put the permanent marker out the last night of the cruise so that there is less chance of someone that isnt on the board writing something bad on it.
What do yall think of le cellier? everyones pics of their food look great

That'd be fine Lainey, I don't mind. I wouldn't have said anything if I did! We're not planning on staying too late though.

I've never been to Le Cellier but I've heard nothing but great things. We're planning on going during the second night of our trip.

i havent eaten there but i've heard good things, i might try and get an ADR for there, its one of my "i fancy eating there" places, but i havent really looked at restaurants too much yet!
