9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

we just got back from "a taste of west cobb" it was good they had alot of food and raffles but my little brother was ready to leave so we came home andi am about to leave for gregs house to watch movies and ride the 4wheeler.
17 again is like the opposite of big, 13 going on 30 and there is another one that i use to watch but i forgot the name. i love the trailer where he is grabbing a beer and his friend says i dont think so little man the drinking age is still 21. I want to see it but i may have to wait til next week my sis in law said that she might go see it with me but my brother will have to watch the kids which might not happen.

I agree that Lush is expensive...but since I just got my new bathtub, I am making up for lost time!! LOL

So, I got my DVC points rented (I think). We are staying at Bay Lake Tower in a Lake View room, and it is only $150!! That is such a good deal, because to book the room through disney it is $450!! Yea! It will me my Sister's first time staying at Disney. I'm just excited to see the Electric Water Pagent from our room!

It is very nice out here today!! However, it is supposed to rain the next 3 days, go figure. We are going out to dinner tonight to the California Pizza Kitchen. Have you guys ever eaten there? I love their BLT Pizza, and then I started eating the California Club Pizza, which is a BLT Pizza with Chicken and Avacado. It sounds gross, I know, but it's yummy!! And you can try anything there, and if you don't like it, they will give you something else for free.

Jen, I watched a Hockey game the other day. I'm not big on Hockey (especially because I don't know the rules), but since the Blackhawks are in the playoffs, I decided to watch. They went to overtime, but we won in only 12 seconds, so that was good. It is just so fast, I can't keep track of the puck!! How is your team doing?

congrats on getting the points rented! i'm kinda jealous that the only resort i could get for my date was SSR or AKV, i really wanted to try BLT or BWV. still saratoga is still great!
you'll have to take loads of photos of BLT to show me!

I have had California Pizza Kitchen we have one in ATL and i have been to one in Myrtel Beach,SC and of course most of the grocery stores down here carry the frozen pizzas by them, but its not the same as going there. I have mainly eaten the bbq chicken pizza which i love and the other one i have had is i think called marguerita??? its mainly cheese i think.
It is supposed to rain here for the next few days anymore rain and we will have gone from being in a drought to being in a flood!!
I will have to take a picture of Kendal so yall can see her she is so sweet she is 15 months old eventhough she has all her adult teeth and is no longer "Teething" she still chews on everything greg has lost a wallet to her and his mom lost her reading glasses(she wont chew on anything that didnt cost alot of money)

Mary - My team is doing well! They're up 2 games to none and the series is a best of 7 so they're halfway there! I don't think anybody thought they stood a chance against the Capitals but they've been playing really well so far! I hope they win. I know, hockey is very quick and tough to follow on tv. Just look for whoever has there hockey stick on the actual ice; that's the guy who has the puck! They used to do this glow puck thing when Fox showed the games and it was awful!!! There was this big halo around the puck, it was distracting to watch! The Hawks are the Western Conf team I'm rooting for. They haven't made the playoffs in a long time. They deserve to win. Unless they play the Rangers for the Cup!

I could talk hockey all day long. Hockey & Disney...I should be a Mighty Duck fan.

Lainey - I love 13 Going on 30! It was just on the other night and I was trying to go to sleep because I had work early and it just wasn't happening. I waited for the scene when they dance to Thriller before finally going to sleep. Jennifer Garner is adorable in that and I like Mark Ruffalo a lot too.

My dog used to chew on empty soda bottles when he was teething. Your dog has more expensive taste!! lol

Everyone has to take lots of pictures of their resorts this trip! We're all staying at places we haven't been before.

The Blackhawks won last night too, so now they are also up 2-0. Yea!! And, by some miracle, the Bulls also beat the Celtics in game 1 of the NBA playoffs. I don't expect that to last though.

California Pizza Kitchen was so good! We haven't been there for a while. I also went to the Vera Bradley store, there is a bag that I want to buy but I had to see the pattern first. It's really cute, so I think I will buy it!!

I have to take Tim to get his Passport next weekend. He keeps putting it off, but I want to make sure we have it on time!!

It has been raining here all day. And it's supposed to rain tomorrow and tuesday all day too. How depressing!!

I think we're going to get our passports in a couple weeks. Joe needs to get his renewed; I need one, period.

It's rainy and gross out here today too. This weekend it was beautiful!! I can't stand the constantly changing weather. I wish it would just be warm and stay warm!

Once again it is raining here
i like 13 going on 30 also it is good. i know only 5 months til our trip and one day less until my wedding
i will be taking alot of pictures of the resort i always do i take the typical pictures of the room like you would see on a hotel site they are from every angle i do that so incase i never get to stay there again i wan to remember exactly how the room looked i also did it the last time i went on the disney cruise and i will be doing it again and this time i will also have a dvd with the resort and parks on it to remember the trip and my wonderful DIS friends
this weekend is Greg and my older brothers birthdays so everyone is coming over to the house saturday and we are grilling out(thats if i dont have to work) so i am looking forward to seeing all my family this saturday and i think i am getting a spray on tan this week to try it out before the wedding my mom and everyone said that i need just alittle bit of color for the wedding and since i don't tan at all i am gonna try the spray on thing nothing too dark just a slight change in color i hope it works

I'm planning on taking a lot of pictures too. I may get a separate memory card just for the trip itself. I've learned from other's TRs that I need to take pictures of absolutely everything at every angle (though I may not do the food porn shots ). And of course, I'm planning on doing a TR so look for pictures of yourselves in it!

I'm looking forward to this weekend too. I'll be down in Williamsburg and it's supposed to be absolutely beautiful!

i took 2100 photos last year in 3 weeks. 1000 of those were taken in the first 5 days!!!
i'm trying to decide what to do with this changing resorts thing, i'm thinking yay, go for boardwalk for a night, but then i'm kinda taking a day out of our vacation for changing resorts..... argh, why cant things be more easy!!

It won't take much time out of your day to switch resorts. Checking in and out is easy enough. I think you're going to regret it if you don't do it so I say go for it!

Absolutely. I'm unsure as to if I'm going to make an ADR for Ohana's that night or our last night there but I'm down for Jellyroll's during the trip.

i'm trying to decide based on the fact that we want to go to jellyrolls and the boardwalk at night during our trip, but it doesnt work for us to go at start of holiday or during, the only day that works is the night before the cruise.
i'm trying to decide if its worth the hassle of moving resorts, its a lot of hassle for one night and we lose a day's food, but on the other side i really fancy staying there!

I would be up for meeting at Jellyrolls but I don't want to stay out super late the night before the cruise. We're going to be up early to get to breakfast at the Poly and then to the ship. We'll figure it out.

I would be up for jellyrolls, but agree that it should be kind of early. I will have to leave Universal to drop my Dsis off at the airport, and then we are staying at the Hyatt in the Airport (for only $20!! I had enough points from my conference travel), and Tim is flying in around 10, I can just leave a key for him at the front desk, but I also don't want to stay out too late the night before, I want to get to the port early!!

Karen, the Boarkwalk is really nice. Are you going to be renting points, or just staying there through Disney? If you are staying there through Disney, at the Inn, let me know so I can tell you this one bad section that you don't want to stay in. We stayed there last year, and you could hear delivery trucks backing up (with their beepers) ALL night. It was terrible. I even called the front desk, but it didin't stop!! Changing resorts isn't that big of a deal, we do it most years, so that we can stay by Epcot & by MK.

I will take lots of pictures at BLT!! Tim's family wants to see them too. I will have my work computer with me, so I will be able to empty the card onto it whenever it is full, but my memory card holds 3000 pictures, so it should be okay (hopefuly!!). LOL, I always take tons of pictures!!

well since greg and i cant decide where we want to eat dinner the night before the cruise that would give us a different place to look at dinner options and since we are doing epcot that day and we will be done earlier than the other parks it would be fine with us. any time is fine with us i just want to have time to throw all of our stuff in the suitcases for the cruise.
I already know the locations for off loading pictures at all the parks b/c i have a habit of taking too many pictures i may get a memory card for the disney world part of the trip and one for the cruise.

Lainey, your dog is so cute! It always cracks me up when we take Minnie for a walk or something, everyone is always like look at the hot dog! One year we even dressed her in a hot dog costume for halloween!

Jen, we are watching the hockey game rihgt now. Tim used to play before he dislocated his shoulder three times, so he tries to explain it to me, but I am still a bit confused!
