Would anyone who is eligible today be willing to call and price a Cat 5C for 1A/1C (age 10) and a Cat 11B for 1A/2C (both age 10) without insurance or transfers for the May 2011 Eastbound TA? I am trying to decide now if the total will be too much $$ so I can adjust our plans for next Monday. I know the prices may not be the same by then, but it'll give me a ballpark idea.

Thanks so much!
A super nice DISer got my quote. Thanks A Little Pixie Dust!

Those prices do not include ins/trans but do include fees.
TA 5/14/11
CAT 5C - 1 A 1 C (10) $4,654.58
CAT 11B - 1 A 2 C (10) $2,881.87

Guess we'll be hopefully getting these cabins!!!

Alaska
7/12 C05C 2A/1C(7) $6,613.89 (no transfers, no insurance, no air)
7/12 C05C 2A $5149.26 (no transfers, no insurance, no air)
No OBC

Ok, analysts.....

Has anyone noticed a price increase today?

Or is it taking too long for anyone to book for the ships to start filling up?

The prices have increased on some sailings and/or Categories. The list on pg. 1 of this thread shows the increases. The CM, I spoke with this morning shared that verandahs seem to be very popular for the Alaska itineraries. I'm not too surprised by that, since Alaska is all about the scenery. :)

7/12 c05c 2a1k 7 $6,613.89
7/12 c05c 2a $5149.26

Glad someone finally posted quotes for 7/12!! That is the one we are hoping for, but have to wait until 9/28. DD will turn 6 on 7/17, we are excited to celebrate her birthday with Disney!! My FIL will likley go for a Category 5, so goog to know I can pass on an idea to him.

So, this may be a dumb question, but are there any sailings to the Bahamas in 2011? We were thinking of making a change from the Caribbean and were looking perhaps into a 5 night Bahamas combined with a trip WDW, but I don't see any listed for 2011. We don't have the time for a longer than 7 day cruise and I don't think dd would be ready for a trip to Alaska at her age - she is all about swimming.

See now THAT really irks me. That is just plain WRONG on so many levels to only allow it for the gold & platinum members. As a silver CC member if I cannot transfer my existing ressie with its 1/2 deposit on the 28th and keep the 1/2 deposit I will NOT book one of their stoopid specialty cruises on either of these old rust buckets!!! I don't have a problem paying the difference between the 1/2 amt. we've already paid and the new 1/2 amt. but WHY should I give them a LOAN THAT BIG for just almost 2 years and for WHAT in return? A stressful week of waiting & hoping that they still have the cabin I want at a price I can afford? Nope. Not gonna happen for me. It is looking less & less like I will be adding a new ticker to my siggie any time soon!

From what I understand, the pools get plenty of use on the Alaska trips + the kids tend to love the wildlife, so don't rule it out.

Apparently, the Dream will take over the Bahamas routes. I think people have said that those dates will be announced at the end of October.

I read somewhere on this thread that if you already have a 50% deposit discount on a cruise you are transferring, then that will stand when booking Alaska. I'm crossing my fingers that this is true. Does anyone know the answer to that?
