I want that category R - August 16th would be perfect, but alas we are silver until next summer's cruise!!! I guess this answers my question as to whether I should try and call next Monday or wait for IC to contact me. I guess waiting another year wouldn't kill us either.

 Not sure if I'm the only one who didn't realize this, but the Holiday Sailings for 2011 are not available to book today. Sure wish I would have know that before wasting 161 minutes of cell phone time.

The wonderful CM (she really was, no sarcasm here) told me that DCL made the decision not to release only recently but apparently forgot to mention it to anyone who was dumb enough to sit on hold for an eternity. And no, couldn't be placed on a waitlist for that either. She suspects it will be released later this fall with the Dream. As if I'm going through this again!

We are a family of 5 and got the following prices (include transfers, no air, no ins):

Cat 4 - $14,408.80
Cat 7 Connecting - $15,368.17
Cat 10 Connecting - $11,752.72

For that price we had to let it go. We'll go on the new ship.

Is this for the 7-day Alaska :scared1: That's high!

WB TA Repo -9/10/2011 - 7A - 2A 1C - 5393.73

Looking at this the 2010 repo in September is roughly $4960 not including insurance for the same room so actually prices are very similar for anyone trying to guess the prices!

Okay, booking complete. Hurray!!!! :cool1:

PC Cruise - 1/6/2011
CAT. 5A
2A - 1382 DVC points (691/each) <== Note the difference in points from previously posted. The calculator DVC was given to make quotes was inaccurate.
1C (6yo) - $1816
1C (3yo) - $1800
no transfers or insurance at this time

To get through to DVC Member Services only took about 20-30 minutes. But getting everything else taken care of took another hour and half or so.

Sorry to hear that Karen, that's the pits.:headache::sad2:

Alaska 8/9/2011 cruise
This is the pricing I got for a cat. 7A, 2 adults & 1 17yo: The total with 10% is $4,921.89 plus $275 OBC.

 Yay! Looks like nobody else is thinking about going to the Med in 2011!! Hope that means lots of availability on the 28th! :yay:
(But I WOULD like to see some prices!:rolleyes1)
(There's no smiley with his fingers crossed!)

Booked the 4/27 and the first Alaskan 5/3. Asked about OBC and was told that there was none.

To those of you who have booked already and been told that you are getting OBC--- could you check your ressies and see if the OBC shows up somewhere on your reservation?

I checked mine and didn't see anything. I am a Gold.

I appreciate it. I would try calling DCL back, but I shudder at the thought.

The OBC is for those who booked a 'dummy' cruise on board to be transferred to a later date. Also, you don't see your OBC listed on your reservation.

I'm thinking the same thing. Looks like no one is booking the 8/16 Alaska cruise which is good for me having a bette shot at getting what I want on 9/28 but bad in that I'm not seeing prices!

What about the 5/3/2011 (see post #1) is that same?

Just got the confirmation Email.

Alaska
6/21/11 Cat T (old Cat 3) Cabin 8532 1A 1K (12 y/o) $10549. I suspect that includes insurance. The TA is just sending out quick and dirty info right now as they have lots of bookings!

The OBC of $275 for Gold was a nice surprise. The CM suggested I move my eldest DD who is also Gold to DH's Cabin( he's Silver), so that Cabin would also get the $275 OBC. So we did, so we now get $275 per cabin. :woohoo:

Got my Alaska quote:

8/30
Cat 7 Nav Verandah (7620 partial obstruction)
2A (10% ob booking discount) no transfers, no insurance, All taxes and fees:

3479.26 ($300 obc DCL/TA)

.

maybe they will have cheaper prices than 2010 with the lack of excitement.

The 8/16 and 8/9 prices were quoted to me at the same price level.

Catagory 6a - 2A with 2K ages 16/17....$7154 with taxes only added.

Called about 10am and wait time was only 12 minutes!! I think we must of had one price increase as the 8/30 cruise was $200 less ($6934) but that date didn't work for us.

I did book, but if some of the other lines start running specials, we could be tempted to change if it goes to half the price, which it was this year. Right now we can book a suite on RCI for almost $2000 less which has a separate bedroom, walk in closet, full bath with marble and tub, concierge service etc.
Tempting but not Disney!:thumbsup2

Can someone please tell me where to find, or give me the link to, the list and explanation of these new categories? I had no idea they changed to things like Cat 5A, etc...please help!
