Yes, this morning when I called to ask another question I asked about this and the CM read the notice they have that states that the 50% deposit special ends at midnight tonight and on 9/24/09 full deposits will be required for any and all bookings basically until further notice.

Thanks Lisa, better start flexing my cc for monday. thanks also for updating everything so quick.

Thanks for keeping everything updated... this is a great help!!!

Everyone is welcome. It has helped me as much as the rest of you. :goodvibes Monday I will start a new thread to keep the quotes/prices seperate to be able to see if there is much of a difference. If this format has worked then I will keep it the same and will probably set up the thread this weekend with the different cruise categories set up and lock it until Sunday night. This thread will be locked at that point but stay at the top of the board as a sticky for easy reference for everyone along with the deck plans. After the smoke has settled in a few days I will unstick all of these. The deck plans are linked in the DIS FAQ thread. I might add a heading for past booking threads for future reference.

Thanks Lisa, quick question... If you booked onboard during the 50% off deposit promo, are you still entitled to the 50% deposit on Monday?

It has worked for me just great. I would love for you to keep it the same. Thank you for your effort. :yay: I know what a pain it is to read a paragraph and format and keep editing the first page (I did the Date and Rate thread for Universal Resorts for 2007 and didn't wish to do it again! :) ).

I'm nowhere near finished reading this thread , but wanted to quick post the pricing we got:

7/30 11-night MED -- 3 adults in a Cat 7A (secret verandah room) = $9,754 [no ins. or transfers].

We were incredibly pleased with what our TA accomplished -- was even able to get us the same secret verandah room we had in 2007 Med! :yay: And the 11-day is only costing us $300 more than the 10-day did in 2007! NOT BAD -- and I think that increase comes from the port fees -- which I noticed are higher than they were then.

I'm begging for some kindness from a lowly silver CC member. I've been patiently waiting for my TA to get back to me, but alas due to I'm sure was a busy Monday, she hasn't gotten a chance. Would one of the gold/plat members mind calling DCL for me to price out the 8/23/11 Alaska cruise in a cat 4B with 2A/2K(13,10), a cat 5C with 2A and a cat 11B with 2A. We're trying to decide which one would be cheaper. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR KINDNESS!!!!

anyone price anything for 2 adults 1 child (age 8 ) cat 5a for 7/5? i think i closest i see if 2a 2k both teen ages so far. i am thinking it will probably be close to 6500-7000.

We're booked for 7/5/2011 for 2A1K (age 6) in a 5C for $6028, we transferred an on board reservation.

I really do not know that one. I know that we didn't have it on ours on 9/21 and had to pay the full $600 pp.

When people say it includes or does not include transportation. What does it mean. Where are you transported from?

Either airport to the ship & ship to airport or airport to prestay hotel to ship & back to airport from ship after the cruise.

Thanks.

Can I add that later? We want to do the Alaska cruise but will arrive in Vancouver a few days early to see the area. We plan to get to fly to Seattle and then take the Amtrak to Vancouver. I guess we could do the transfer from the train station when we return the car.

Has anyone booked the MR holiday cruises?

We had an OB booking with 1/2 price deposit we transferred to 2011 cruise , we were told that if we did not pay the difference before Sep 24th we would lose the 1/2 deposit and have to rebook paying the $600 per person deposit.

Has anyone booked the MR holiday cruises?

Not yet but considering it :thumbsup2

The original quote we were given for a Cat. 5A for this cruise was 591 points/adult. But when we actually booked, about 30 minutes later, we were charged 691 points/adult. Turns out the original quote of 591 points was correct, so DVC has credited us back 200 points. :cool1: Now we have enough points for another vaction before the cruise!

(This needs to be changed on page 1, please.)

If you have booked a cruise with a half price deposit and transfer it to a cruise that is not offering the half price deposit YES you will be entitled to the same half price deposit on the transferred booking.

Lisa this is keeping in lines with you not getting the half price deposit since your cruise that was transferred did not offer it.

Did you happen to note if any other categories were sold out on that cruise? I believe 6a is full already. I'm hoping for a 9C for 2A2K.
