Hello fellow cruisers I, Holly, need YOUR help!

Can anyone help me with transportation? Steve and I decided not to go with the Disney busses from Wilderness Lodge to the Port because we won't get there until much later, and obviosuly we wanna be there as early as possible. And we can't take the transportation from Port to the airport becaue we have a 12:00 flight that we absolutely cannot miss (have to fly back for a wedding!). Has anyone used outside transportation and had success? We won't have a car rental so that's out...if anyone can help us figure out what the cheapest most effective way to get from the WL to the port on Saturday would be, I would be forever grateful! THANKS TO ALL OF MY DIS FRIENDS!

Have you looked into renting a car that morning just to get you to the port? There is a National Car Rental right at the car care center near Magic Kingdom. That may be a cheaper option then renting a car. Not sure where a drop off would be at the port though.

Holly, I am using Happylimo, for a town car. They seem to have a good history with people from the 'dis'. I had used another company last year and had no problems, Just thought I would try someone else-I like use different companies before I make it my favorite. Hope that helps.
You may want to get a hummer limo though for all those bracelets!! HAHA!

We have late dining as well, so we too may be a little late, so the 3:00 meet and greet would work great. I went to the doctor today, I woke up yesterday with sever sore throat and a temp of 104, so I tried to just lay around and get better on my own, I hate doctors but was feeling so bad today I had to go, come to find out I have strep throat, but am already starting to feel better, not sure where I got it but its the worst sore throat I've ever had and that swab test made it even worst, I also got 2 painful shots in a not so great place..lol, but hey I feel a little better.
Well I'll go lay down for a bit, will try to be here tomorrow. Have a good day all.

We have early seating. But, I am game for the 3:00 meet by the ice cream. I ended up there on our first cruise because I had to try the drink of the day. Which is exactly what I will be doing this time around! I have to add to my souvenir collection of plastic Disney Cruiseline glasses!

Oh my goodness!!! I would never have expected this! I would love that...although, I too have the same concern...that dirty word...luggage, lol. I do not know much about the trunk capacity of a G6...though I wouldn't mind putting a suitcase on my lap if it meant I got a ride from a fellow Dis'er! What a glorious treat that would be! Where are you coming from and what time were you planning on leaving for the port? A million times thank you This is why I love Disney, it truly brings out the best in people!

So I am getting really excited, especially after hearing everyone else's excitement.

I am very excited about making FE gifts, but I get a little nervous meeting new people. I know you all are very nice, but for me it can be overwhelming, but I am going to try and force myself to say "Hi."

And it sounds like a lot of us are staying at Disney at least the night before. We will be at WDW for 8 days before the cruise. We will be at WL 3 nights, AKV 4 nights, and CBR 1 night.

Who else is going to WDW before the cruise?

we are we are *jumps up and down waving arms frantically* We will be at the WL from 9/14 to 9/19 and have 3 day hopper passes...we wanted two days to...um...relax...it is our honeymoon

We get married on the 12th But not at Disney, because my family are a bunch of boring people. We are getting married in the wonderful state of Vermont!

We are getting married abroad so we don't have to put up with boring family, lol, only kidding. We have about 10 people coming out with us, after a week entertaining a graoup I will be desperate to go on the cruise and leave them all behind!

If anyone else would like to be added just let me know. I like the idea of 2 meet & greets. It's our first cruise so I'm not sure which one I would do. I like the idea of the 3 pm one, but I'm not sure how long it would take me to get to the cabin & then wherever we have to be. I'm not coming wearing the life jacket, stylish as it may be!
I haven't told anyone in my house about the bracelets, if they hate them I figure I'll wear them all. I should be easy to spot that way!

Wow, the activity has really picked up on this thread! I usually click on "last page" but these days usually find that I need to go back a page or two to catch up. I'm more of a "lurker" than an active poster but am trying to do better. Definitely looking forward to our first Disney cruise and to meeting all of you - everyone seems so nice.

Also, I would like to "publicly" thank Yonkrs_Girl for all her work with the FE...she is my wonderful neighbor and her work on here is VERY representative of who she is....she jumps into everything with both feet and her plate is always full....I honestly don't know how she does it sometimes but she does it and she does it well! So, kudos to you Monica!

I didn't order the bracelets, but we do have red buttons that say "JanDave". Mine will be attached to my bag that I carry everywhere on the ship. It holds sunglasses, camera, etc.

I'll look for whoever is in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm. That's a great meeting place. Close to the restrooms, the bar is open, and there is plenty of room.

Hoping to be able to get Palo brunch and dinner ressies Sunday AM.

Small World - SalbytheC and her DH and my DH and I were on the Magic together in 2005. Sally and I met on the DIS Board and we linked to become tablemates.

For those doing WDW the week before the cruise, I should be in Epcot on Tuesday and Wednesday. I won't have any clue as to what part until about 10 days out, and even then I will only know Future World or World Showcase. I always keep my eye out for lime green accessories.

We are paid in full and ready to be on at Midnight (EST) tomorrow to book our Palo's reservations and excurions (if we decide to do any - LOL)!

Awwwww - thanks SO MUCH, Laurie! I do love to be busy and not sure how I keep it all together sometimes either But you have seen my house during those times - some parts are together and some are not
