They released the dates and one of the Halloween parties will be 9/18! ANyone thinking of going pre-cruise? We are flying in on Friday so this might be an option to get into the parks for one day and no waits for those rides! We did it last time and it was great.

I saw these dates yesterday and decided to do the exact same thing - we are skipping our Disney week this year so I said this could be my "fix" to hold me over until next year!! We fly in on Friday as well! I can not wait!

Hello again everyone.

I just saw a thread devoted to kids only for a specific cruise date. I got my daughter and asked her if she would like to start one for our cruise. Is there anything going now or is she good to go?

And would Irishcowboy list in the listing chronologically if I asked him?

Thanks! for any info you have. We are just looking for the kids to meet up a bit like we do before we sail.

My DD14 is the one most likely to do this. Altho if I helped him my DS6 would like to find a friend or two as well. Let me know if any of you have a kiddo this age who might be interested.

My daughter is an immature 12 years old - she is great - just still more into dolls and tinkerbell than into boys and teenage conversation - which is fine with me!! I know she would love to meet some of the other kids!!

They announced at the Annual Disney Stockholder's Meeting that the new ships will be called Disney Dream (2011) and Disney Fantasy (2012).

how many out there guessed the name of the ships? I sen those names to disney cant belive they chose them how cool is that?

Has anyone done some of the onboard uumm, what? presentations or seminars maybe they are called? I have heard about the galley one, and some entertainment ones? History of Disney ones? I would love more info on that kind of stuff.

The galley tour is on Thursday. Pick up tickets (free) early in the week. THe entertainment and other seminars will be posted in the Navigators.

Waving to everyone and all the new comers. It's sounds like we will be cruising with a great bunch of folks. I wasn't aware there was going to be a meet. We are signed up for the FE and I can't wait to get the list so I can start shopping.DH and I will be on our honeymoon. This will be our very first cruise. Is it September yet?

mamajojo and debbiechels, Thanks for the replys. We started a thread on the cruise meet board entitled Looking for friends 9/19/2009. Hope you will both post there. My DS6 is a talker and will befriend anyone who will listen! He will have his DS4 in tow some of the time until she get comfy playing on her own (shouldn't take her long, she is THE Princess in this family and very social)

DD14 is pretty much on "the innocence side" as well but not sure she would want me saying so, "just not cool MOM" she may tell me.

I don't mind if the girls exchange emails if that is okay with you instead of the dis thread. Let me know.

Just stopping by to see how everyone is doing?! I have been pretty busy with school, my daughter, hubby, home, and so on! The cruise is what is keeping me balanced and not go too crazy! At least I have been slowly adding into my gifts for the FE. Any reason to go shopping!

The Halloween party sounds fun, I don't think that we will make that one though. We are flying in on Friday afternoon and staying at the Radisson. By the time I get everyone settled, I am not going to want to go back out. Having a special needs child makes us not able do things on the spur of the moment either. But, we will probably go hang out at the Radisson's pool!

BTW, my DD is 12 and very sweet. She is very shy and Disney really does their best to include her in everything. She has a lot of mothering hens here in Arizona that 'watch' over her and make sure she is included as well at school. We also had that the last time we cruised. She won't seek people out, but, it was nice that the other kids on our previous cruise had a head's up about her and they would come over and chat and play with her. SHE LOVED IT!

We had such a great time at the mnsshp in 07. We went the day we got off our rccl cruise, I believe Sep 10, anyways it poured the rain and they almost didn't get the parade and fireworks in, but it ended up working great for us because alot of people left making it not crowded at all, no lines for rides and I wouldn't be afraid to say we got 10lbs+ of candy, 2 huge bookbags full and a plastic bag, they were trying to get rid of it, so we helped them..lol. We would love to do it again but I doubt we will get too, we were hopeing it would be going on the day we got off the cruise, we are heading to Orlando that day. I haven't been added to the FE exchange yet, but my post count is too low to pm just yet, but can't wait to partcipate. On our last Disney cruise I saw the FE and wondered what it was all about, sounds like so much fun. As far as bringing pirate gear, yeah we have a couple things left over from the disney cruiseline houseparty we hosted awhile back, goofy pirate hat with ears and eyepatches, not sure what else.

Haven't posted in a while. Hi to all new comers! I'm at the point that it feels like September is never going to come!! Before I know it I'll have no time to get my stuff together. I'm going to get my mom to help me w/ my fish extender when I take the boys to Tennessee for the summer. She has one of those Disney sewing machines so I can embroider cute stuff on the pockets. At least that's the plan anyway. Can't wait to meet everyone. I love to talk.

Man, the MNSSHP is soooo tempting but I can just see my husbands response: "I thought the whole idea was to get to port a day early so we could be well rested to start the cruise? How will we do that being in MK (b/c he would never leave early) until midnight and then driving over an hour to our room in Port Canaveral?" Don't think I'm gonna win that one. Shucks!

About our Port Canaveral room, any one staying at Country Inn and Suites pre cruise? We will see you there! We are thinking about post cruise going by DTD and maybe a resort for a late breakfast or maybe just Earl of Sandwhich (love me some Earl Sandwhich!) before we hit the road for the long drive home.

Cakesnjammom, I am sooo sorry I am nearly computer and especially forum board illiterate so I have no idea how to copy, put links in, etc BUT I will give you what I know! Maybe someone will help us out, after all it is the Disboard!

My daughter started a thread on 3/9/2009 titled "Looking for a friend for 9/19/2009 cruise" I think that's pretty close. It is under thread meets (this section) but not by date yet or anything so it is probably pretty far down the page? She used my Dis name, Kileybeth, so you could just search my post I think?

So, are you all ready for this?

Welcome to all the newcomers. I am so glad September seems to be rapidly approaching. We will be bringing pirate costumes for Pirate night. I will have to check out the kids thread, because my girls don't know I booked the cruise yet.
