Hey everyone!!! Just popping in to say hi and that we just booked this cruise yesterday!!! This is the shortest time ever from booking to cruising so I have lots to do this week.

Sorry about barging onto your thread at such a late date but the stars aligned and we were able to book last minute.

We are just going to wing it this trip...no planning, no excursions, no nothing but a good time!!!

Sorry to hear about the Cozumel fiasco....we have been to Coz several times and were even at Mr. Sanchos and it was lovely...no pressure at all but were also told no coolers...this was back in 2003 but still had a good time!!!

Don't forget to check out Margaritaville in Grand Cayman....they have a built in pool on the second story of the building and it is free!!! Nice place to unwind in the afternoon with a nice margarita for some nachos...check out the pics from out last time there....

And from a beautiful sunset at Key West when we were on a land based vacation there...

Welcome MJ!! WOW, you really are last minute!! I don't think I could do it without stressing over a year. Glad to have you aboard with us. We are a great group of people. We are doing 3 meets, so hopefully you will be able to make it to one of them or all. I know off the top of my head, 3:00 on Saturday by the ice cream machines. That is all I remember, I just hope I remember when we get there.. I know there is an adults only as well, but ???

Hi all,
Just checking in to tell you that we are having a great time in Orlando, no crowds and almost no lines for major rides. Nice weather as well, I would say less warm than usual, which is good for us. See you in just a week. By the way, we went to Jetty park yesterday to see beautiful Disney Wonder leaving Port Canaveral, People onboard were having a blast I am posting from a brand new Macbook Pro I just Purchased at the Apple Store at Mall at Millenia (Sorry for the dancing banana Kathy, but I'm way too excited)

Glad to hear your having a good time in orlando Dennis. We are here in LAX at our hotel. We got here about 8:30am and had breakfast. Then we went to bed until about 4ish. The kids wanted to go for a swim so Dh took them in after we woke up. It was a bit cold but they loved it anyway. Looking forward to getting to Orlando tomorrow. Our flight is at 8:25am so we get to Orlando about 4:30pm. Then its off to AKL and then DTD for dinner. I'm so excited. I can't believe were almost there.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!!! I made a note of some of the meet time and will try to meet up if possible.....hubby just wants to chill this week...really stressful last few months!!

Anyway.....just received my packing cubes.....of course I didn't think I needed them until I read the thread about them on the cruise board and will have to try using them this trip....people rave about them so we will see!!!

We are heading in West Palm on the 17th to visit FIL and then driving to PC on Friday sometime. Staying at the Four points Sheraton in PC the night before.

So many having celebrations!!! Have safe travels everyone....a week from now we will all be getting ready to head to the port!!!

Hi everyone, (Tinnk&Cinderella here - using DH laptop and sig in name)

The week has been a busy one....

One of my kids at work had a birthday and I made him a spider man cake and we had a little party for him... he was thrilled! This is the little brother to the older boy who had spoken about in the past.

Another one of my older girls was in a horrific car accident the car was airborne and flipped several times. Thankfully she is ok - needing 30 stitches to her arm.

Another one of my charges is an unhappy little camper and asked for a teen bible and a journal and along with a Chicken Soup for the Christian Teen Soul it cost like $98.00 .. but its not everyday that I get this type of request so I am happy to buy this stuff for her.

Along with hair cuts, cheerleading camp, specialist appointments for my own kids and back to school as well as packing and organizing our two puppies for the trip, we have bee busy busy busy.... and it seems only on Saturday and Sundays that I get a chance to come on the DIS.... WOW lots of pages to catch up on..

To all of you who are about to or have just left....I wish you safe travels.

Can't wait till Tuesday night when our adventure begins with the arrival of my parents and pedicure for the girls.

ON our last cruise we had an inside stateroom, so no window so it was VERY dark when we slept which was nice.


This cruise we ahve a verandah.. does it have curtains to keep the sun out early in the morning? do they work? what can i do to not be awakened at the crack of dawn everyday by sunlight in eyes?

Hi Andrea, There are curtains, but we bring clothes pins so if there are any gaps we pin them shut. This works with the room divider curtains too.

MJ, I have to tell you that I got sucked in to the packing cube thread too! Mine came yesterday. I can't wait to start packing and figure out how to organize the cubes!!! Sad, I know

My sister came through with the FE...wait until y'all see .....I told her to immediately start a biz on ebay. I will post pics this evening..if I can find the camera and the cable, because in addition to my dining room table being consumed by packing away FE stuff....now, the Living room has been eaten by half-packed suitcases for three people, plus a half (Jasmine is packing up in Portland, but I am packing stuff for her too....).
