After dinner we made our way over and did the Narnia tour. WOW...I was amazed at how much I felt as if I had just stepped into a movie and even more so as if I had just stepped into a book! "Aladdin" had read the entire Chronicles of Narnia series over the last few months...so for him too, it was as if he were walking into his own imagination. He kept saying over and over "This is just how I thought it would be".
The White Witch was eerie, beautiful and a tad bit scary to a little one in the party next to us...the poor thing looked like she was going to lose it at any moment...then again she was only 3. She was whimpering and hiding her face in her dad's leg and hyperventilating all at the same time.

Not sure why her parents didn't take her out. I wonder this not because she annoyed me...but because it was clear that she would have rather have been picking up toys and eating brussel sprouts then to have been in this attraction!

I mention this poor little one as a warning to anyone with bitty little ones that have really good imaginations...this attraction might scare them more then a little bit...then again, my three loved it! Go figure.
Now for my very favorite Narnia picture (okay it's only cause it has my sweet guys in it

).
The pictures I took really don't do it justice. It was just an amazing world of ice and snow and magic! It was just so very real feeling! WOW!!
After Narnia we started down the street and my boys became junior photographers. Here are a few of the gems they took. I don't know why, but just handing over the camera and watching them "get the great picture" (as "Goofy" kept saying over and over again) was a whole lot of fun.
"Stitch" took this one cause he said it was a hidden Mickey...maybe not in the true sense of the phrase...but close enough when you are 5!!
"Goofy" snapped this one. He said he was seeing the hat his way!
This next photo is ala "Aladdin". He said the flower looked like a bird!
And a bit more of "Aladdin's" work:
After our photo safari, it was on to ride The Great Movie Ride one last time (it was here we used our "priority entrance" pass for being the "Happiest Family"...thanks again kind CM). There really wasn't a line but the boys wanted to use the pass...

so we did.
Then it was on to Fantasmic! This is a GREAT, NOT TO BE MISSED kind of show!
Here are "Stitch" and his daddy waiting for Fantasmic to start.
We had toted about 40 Disney trivia cards (snagged out of our Disney trivia game at home) with us for just this purpose...as we waited, we had a competition. It was a lot of fun. The people around us even got into offering up answers! Having something to do sure did make the time go a lot faster!
Here is my favorite picture from Fantasmic:
When the show started we were transported to an imaginary world. I always feel like I am part of the show rather than just an audience member. The effects are out of this world great and of course, having Mickey as the hero is always a bonus!! I heard the steamboat was being "in rehab"...and I surely did miss it! I hope they do bring it back!
As we walked back to our van, I got a tad bit sad, it was time to go back to the resort and pack up. The first leg of our vacation was coming to an end...we did have another almost two weeks left...but I was having so much fun this first week that I didn't want it to end!
So...as we pulled into the parking lot at the Contemporary and started to make our way over to the Food and Fun Center and we started to spot people dressed up in Halloween costumes my heart soared...it was one of the night's for
MNSSHP!! This meant we could watch the fireworks tonight even though we were getting back after they would have normally gone off! Just one more way to extend our vacation just a tad bit longer...
So mugs filled, we made our way up to the public observation deck. It was not packed...but it was not empty either. **THANK YOU DIS BOARD FOR THE NEXT TIP** We turned and saw the fire escape stairway. Up, up, up we went and we just kept climbing until we found an empty landing. Our own private viewing spot picked out, we sat and enjoyed our cool drinks and talked about all of the fun we had already had and all of the fun that was yet to come! Then all of a sudden, we heard them start...
WOW...what a fireworks show!! Here are some of the photos I snapped while we were watching the MNSSHP fireworks off of the fire escape.
Standing on that fire escape and watching the fireworks show was another "snapshot in time" moment for me. Dh was standing behind me holding me, and the boys were in front of us with their little arms around each other. It was such a sweet moment! And it felt like Disney was shooting off the fireworks just for us as (unless we looked directly down on to the observation deck below) we couldn't see another soul in all of WDW. We could only see the fireworks and the lights and the castle with ghosts flying around it and changing colors in a spectacular light show!
The fireworks ended all too soon...but that was okay, upon our return from our
Disney cruise we were going to be attending MNSSHP. So...we would get the chance to see them again...however, we knew it was not likely that any other vantage point could be as magical or as wonderful as the one we had just watched them from!
When the fireworks ended we made our way back to our room and packed up our things. Tomorrow we would be leaving first thing in the morning for Port Canaveral and we didn't want to be tired upon boarding the Disney Magic! Although I was very VERY excited to get there and start that amazing part of our trip, I was also very VERY sad to be leaving such a beautiful resort and to be ending a chapter of our Disney adventure...somehow those two extremes balanced each other out and I was able to get some sleep that night.
Good thing...because up next THE DISNEY MAGIC!!
To be continued!!
