morning Fockers, I called Dining (and yes they actually took my call;) )

OK, We can make a reservation for 41, we just call Dining and they put us through to the special group that handles large groups (doesn't necessarily have to be a grand gathering)

I did ask specifically about Biergarten accomodating 41 and that is not a problem any restaurant can do that, just call as close to 180 to make sure there are openings.

More info on the Dinner and Dessert Illuminations buffett:
59.99 per adult and 29.99 per child
or 2 TS if on DDP, no DDE accepted
Full buffet with live music, storytelling and characters, will recognize any special events (b-day's, anniversaries, etc)

The Dinner & Desserts is a little pricey for us. Plus, MHO, if all that other stuff is going on we won't get a chance to chat, etc. What does everyone else think? I say if Biergarten can accomadate us let's go for it. Jo are you still up to making the call since you can make ADR;s before the rest of us.

Still waiting on airfare. I soooooo don't want to drive.

EDITED TO SAY THANKS FOR CALLING AND GETTING ALL THE INFO MO:goodvibes

Just a suggestion but perhaps when making the ADR you should add on a few extra "people" in case more join in later. So instead of making an ADR for 41 make one for 50. It would be easier to call and reduce the amount of people on the reservation than to add more on later on.

Ohhhh! That's what you're talking about - The Grand Gathering Illuminations Dessert Party! I was talking about a private party... which would be a lot cheaper than $60/person and less crowded, but it wouldn't have all the 'extras' like storyteller, etc. Plus it would be just for dessert/Illuminations...

 Thanks for doing that Mo! I say we go with Biergarten and Wienerfest, the IROE just doesn't have the nice ring to it, KWIM? :lmao: If Jo can make the ressie on her 180 day opening - we should be able to get a ressie, I think. ;)

Great idea, Lessa! :thumbsup2

See when I asked about just Dessert they said you have to have the dinner too:confused:

I agree, this way Jo can still count wieners:lmao:

:goodvibes
:lmao: See, that's why we can't go back to the Poly!

Ditto - too rich for my bank account. Bring on the wieners!

I was just thinking the same thing - I definitely think we ought to reserve for 50, JIC.

Ah, but the party doesn't need to end post-wienerthon... there are margaritas and saki and grand Marneier slushies awaiting our arrival for "dessert"! :rotfl:

Hmmm.... I'm thinkin' that I'll keep my BWV reservation so I can stagger back to my hotel... :drinking1 :cool2:

mmmm..... saki :thumbsup2

Ok Major catch up here 'cause you guys have been busy!

I GOT THE EMAIL CODE - 40% OFF!!!!!!!

 :woohoo:  :woohoo: :yay: Alright T!!!!

Me neither s'late. :sad1: 15 years of non-stop WDW-ing and I've never had a code. I wonder if they exclude FL addresses?

:sad1: I wouldn't doubt it.....

I don't think so V, because the one I got went to my parents address in Florida. It was addressed to me, but had their address:confused3

Ooooh! :)

I wonder if they exclude AP holders? I called sometime last year to do some pricing and used my mom's name. I didn't book anything and a few days later a post card arrived. It was for 40% off but dates we could not travel.

:guilty: Darnit, just can't win...

Nope, I know AP holders who have gotten them.

Well :woohoo: on AP holders getting codes

V said:
BUT, it wouldn't surprise me if they exclude people like me - that have a running record of AP usage combined with never paying rack-rate. I'm also convinced the parks use a face-recognition system to keep Dreams form going to regulars. ;)

::yes::

V said:
Used to - these days the discount amounts are getting lower and lower. I just booked one and it was around 20% off. Also, the AP and FL rates are getting LOADS more restictive - limited resorts, very limited availability, and weekend exclusions. WDW needs to be careful; Floridians carried the palce last time there was a recession.

OMG this is soooo true, sometimes the discount isn't even worth it not to mention getting stuck with crappy views/building locations. :sad2:
WAIT!!!! I HAVE ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT!!

GUESS WHO'S COMING TO WANDER THE WORLD WITH US IN AUGUST???

YUPPERS!!!

Yay!!! Waldo and the Enabler will be there!!

Ok, so I'm on the phone with CRO and I've got a 2 bedroom villa at SSR for $318 per night? Good or bad?:confused3

I'd say good. SSR :cloud9: The 2BR Villa there is very nice. If you need refreshing on what it's like, take a look at the June part of my TR. ;) Plus it's close to the golf course

Oh I've also started my spreadsheet :rolleyes1

Anymore???

::::Raises hand:::: You forgot little ol' me :sad1:
I haven't booked anything yet, but I'm 98% certain I'm going.

Hmmm.... I'm thinkin' that I'll keep my BWV reservation so I can stagger back to my hotel... :drinking1 :cool2:

mmmm..... saki :thumbsup2

I am SO with you and the saki..YUM. Those Slushies were like crack to me last time tho...I may be staggering out of Epcot myself! LOL.

Hey Jo, can you add 2 more adults. My mom and dad haven't said definitely yes, but I'd rather add them now and take them off than try and add them when we get there. That makes 5 Adults, 1 Child for us:cool1:
