I’m assuming you are referring to the wish, as you mentioned theming but might be helpful to put which ship.

We're in this room on August 1 so I can report back unless others do first.

We’re staying in room 8690 aft on the Wish. It’s a category 6A. The balcony is very wide! There is only a chair instead of a couch that folds out so it will only sleep 3 people. But great for the 2 of us.

We'll be staying in 8192, which is the equivalent stateroom on the other side, so thanks for sharing!

Thank you for sharing. Didn't realize there isn't a couch. Room seems smaller than the oceanview verandah rooms on the other ships. There was always a couch.

The regular verandah rooms on the Wish are approximately the same size as the regular verandah rooms on the Dream-class ships. The family verandah rooms on the Wish are approximately 15 square feet smaller than the family verandah rooms on the Dream-class ships.

Here's a summary of the room sizes on each ship:

It's possible that this room is shaped a bit differently or is a bit smaller than the typical verandah rooms because of its location on the ship.

Noticed the ceiling at the end of the room is angled, reducing the size of that room - It is actually a category 6A, rather than a 4E). You get more balcony... but the room is squeezed a bit. Overall, similar square footage, just divided differently between room and balcony...

We were in 8690 on the MV. My phone went swimming in the snorkel lagoon at CC, so I don't have the pictures I took.
It may only sleep 3, but they had life jackets for 4. The phone in the room was attached sideways on one of the shelves over the desk, so it was hard to read the numbers to call, and I'm not sure that the message waiting light would be very noticeable. We were surprised at the lack of a couch and drawers for storage. Also, would have liked to have a lounge chair or 2 on the verandah. There certainly was enough room. I liked that the light switches were actually labelled, so I didn't have to guess what they controlled.

A couple of more observations on the room since we’ve been in it a few days. I’ve also stayed in an aft regular verandah room on the Dream and I liked this one better. The verandah is wider than the Dream one we had which was narrow and long. On the Dream I was very aware of the neighbors but never heard a peep from them on the Wish, either inside or outside. The veranda felt very private. It appeared that the partition for the room towards the middle aft could be opened but not the one on the outside. The only time I felt just a little vibration was docking at Castaway Cay. Otherwise no vibration at all which was different than the Dream. The interior was smaller than the Dream room. When the chair bed was folded out a corner of it was actually under the desk. I thought the chair bed felt hard but my daughter said it wasn’t too bad. It was a little pain to climb over it to get to the deck, but it was worth it. It was a long walk from the elevators. Overall enjoyed the room.

Did you request lounge chairs and were denied, or they just weren't there?

Does anyone else have photos or videos of this room? Also, has anyone had success requesting a lounge chair on the verandah? We just booked this room for 2024!

It seems that I didn’t take any pics of the room, but I posted a good video of the verandah on Facebook. I can’t seem to message people yet, but if you can send me a DM, I’ll send you the link. I don’t know if I can post it here. Also, the lounge chairs were already out there, along with two regular chairs and the little table. It was great!

It's not letting me message you either, but I would love to see that video if you have the link! :)
