https://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport.cfm?Room=8174With the possible addition of another teen in our cabin I was thinking I might want to upgrade to an 8C for the extra room. (or I might not) Anyone have any reviews on room 8174 on the Dream?
I did read that, but just wondered if there were any more recent reviews not posted. I was looking at 7678 and that is a no go!
Well, the fact is, rooms onboard a ship don't change all that much.I did read that, but just wondered if there were any more recent reviews not posted. I was looking at 7678 and that is a no go!
Ok, good point. Do you think that there is a big difference in the same rooms on the Dream vs. the Fantasy?Well, the fact is, rooms onboard a ship don't change all that much.
There is no difference between both ships’ staterooms. They are identical.Ok, good point. Do you think that there is a big difference in the same rooms on the Dream vs. the Fantasy?
The difference between staterooms on the Dream and Fantasy is that aft staterooms on the Dream do not have the severe vibration issues that aft staterooms on the Fantasy sometimes have. So keep that in mind when reading reviews.Ok, good point. Do you think that there is a big difference in the same rooms on the Dream vs. the Fantasy?

Really? Well the reviews on it with this site talked about how much noise there was from the engine or something. Not sure, I would have to go back and look at it. But a lot of noise.Curious why? My family just got back and DB, DSIL and DN loved that cabin. DB and DSIL have cruised several lines and several times and said hands down it was the best cabin they've ever been in.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, well that might be the difference then. Why though? The difference between staterooms on the Dream and Fantasy is that aft staterooms on the Dream do not have the severe vibration issues that aft staterooms on the Fantasy sometimes have. So keep that in mind when reading reviews.
We sailed the Dream in 8164, and it was a great cabin and location.
The Fantasy has had an unaddressed mechanical issue for years that periodically causes extreme vibration issues in the aft.Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, well that might be the difference then. Why though?

Oh, ok.Yes, sailing aft on the Fantasy many reports of engine noise/vibration. On the Dream that's not been an issue.
There was one report of it on the Dream, but since you just got back and your family loved that cabin I might just put in for it tomorrow. So they had no major noise issues? I really want the starboard side and that is the last one available in the aft.Yes, sailing aft on the Fantasy many reports of engine noise/vibration. On the Dream that's not been an issue.
Ok, I will put in for it.They said nothing negative about it, no sound issues at all. Their stateroom host was wonderful and the really enjoyed the space and the porthole window. DB even said he thought it was better than my parents cat 5 (verandah) 2 doors down. Obviously your tastes might vary but it was high praise from my pretty laid back brother who doesn't gush.
Ok, I will put in for it.
Well wait, I think I will have to go with 8174. It has the Murphy bed in it, instead of the wall bunk. I think my daughter's friend could use the Murphy bed better. She is barely 15 and is every bit of 5'9". Dag gum it. Oh well, Port side it is.Great...I hope you love it...and if you don't I'll send you his contact information and you can yell at him![]()
I'll just point out that the bunk bed, the sofa bed, and the murphy bed are all twin size mattresses.Well wait, I think I will have to go with 8174.
