8 seater van is it big enough?

i have just read the brits guide and it says that you may not get all luggage for 7 people in a 7 seater van as the boots are usually smaller than here.i have ordered an 8 seater van in antisipation of this but am now thinking will 1 extra seat be enough for the luggage has anyone experience of a 8 seater van,i have rented from dollar through virgin

We had a 8 seater for 6 of us but that did include DS girlfriend who had twice as much luggage as the rest of us,

We squashed the luggage in & managed especially on the way back to the airport but remember it's only for 2 journeys. I think you'll manage fine.

Agree with Disney Owl, it may be a little tight for the trips to and from the airport but it's not too far to go.

Think of a minibus taxi if you've ever had one, it's the same principal, little space between the last row of seats and the back door, but you'll have the aisles. You may even be able to get stuff under the seats.

thats put my mind at rest,did not really want a ten seater.i can also chuck out the wife if things get too crowded

We had an 8 seater van from Dollar on our last trip and the boot space was huge! No problems with cases for 7 people

Did you get one of those Ford Econonline vans? There were eight of us and our baggage and we were still rattling around in it. It was a rather disgusting avacado colour. They tend to give you one of these if Dollar think you have too much luggage.

DH is our driver & I have no idea what kind of van we got sorry. But just wanted to say when we got to the villa, He completely removed one of the not needed seats & we stored it in the garage for 2 weeks.

This gave the kids (4 teenagers) more space.

Guess it's only an option if staying in a villa.

Pretty sure you will get a Ford 8 seater van, have never rented one myself but last month when we returned our car to Dollar the one in front was a Ford 8 seater type (like a small minibus I guess).
