I am soooo mad at myself....I could have bought 8 day hoppers last week and did not, two different agents assuring me that their stock was contracted for the year . Grrrrr it was. Not.

I had intended to buy an 8 day hopper through FlightCentre.Ca or through fun sun ( through AMA/aaa).

As of today neither has them...discontinued.

Has anyone got any ideas of whom else might have them? My only other option will be a five day hopper and add three days at the gate , but it is so much cheaper to do the longer hopper:confused::confused:

Thanks

Did you call all the stores in Edmonton and Calgary? One of them might have stock.

Sorry. I feel for you. I'm surprised that they got rid of the 8 day hoppers right before carsland. I was able to get the 8 days for $235 canadian. I thought that was the best deal I had seen in a while so I snapped them-up. I did see that the offer was ending I think May 22.
Have you tried Getawaytoday.com? They seem to have pretty good prices.
Good luck!

Right now...but I am pretty certain that those are all PDF that are central to their system. Last time we bought them we got a PDF not a ticket.

I guess I should have bought them , we did not want to buy them so far away as they are non-refundable. We bought them last year but last year we did not go amidst a price hike so we were able to buy them the week before.
Sigh

I checked Expedia.au and the aussies can still get 14 day hoppers.I wonder why they discontinued the 8 day for Canadians. I am going to call Disney and see what's up as soon as all these kids wake up :bored:

I called and they sent it up to a supervisor. Awaiting a return call :surfweb:

HI,
I'm a travel agent and Holiday House/Fun Sun (same thing) are only selling 3, 4 and 5 day hoppers, but you can still buy the 6, 7 or 8 day 1 park per day pass. Not as good I know.
However, if you are booking with a travel agent and are booking the whole package and it's with Westjet Vacations, you can still add on the 7 day park hopper to your package and their package prices are pretty good. You would need to do air and hotel with them though.
Ask your TA to look into that:)

...wow ...cool be curious to see what they say. I just spoke with Calgary Flight Centre and she called her supplier they said they will be in the system tomorrow...honestly I among sure what to believe.

Our air is already booked as is our hotel. Hotel could change but not air.

I got our 1 park hopper we needed, a 6 day, from Ares travel, have the e ticket printed and will present at guest relations and pay $5. per day to add on 2 days for the 8 days we need. We paid $248 for the ticket plus the $10 will be $258. not as good a deal as Canadiantinkfairy got through flight center, but still a lot better than a lot of what is or is not available right now through Disney. I bought mine in a panic on the day the ticket prices changed and then read about Canadiantinkfairys deal through flight center and was so mad at myself! :lmao:

Well...as I discovered last year when I phoned(for my trip I had to cancel),Disney was not even aware that Canadians could get an 8 day hopper.
A supervisor did call me back and we discussed the parkhoppers and the reason they got rid of the 6 day was because NOBODY BOUGHT IT  and that most people just bought an AP.
So 5 day ph it is.....according to Disney. Now I am not sure how Flightcenter and others, as well as the Aussies (that have 14 day hoppers),work that out with Disney but the CM's know nothing about it.
Anyway,I need to vent so I am going to start a thread about a discussion I had with the third person I talked to.
Good luck Shauna! I hope you get your 8 day hopper. It seems I will have to ante up for AP's next Feb as we will be there 12 days.

For sharing....sounds reminiscent of my conversation with them a few weeks ago. I was trying to see how to get a Ninth day added if I bought an eight day hopper. They had no clue about the 8 day hoppers, in the end they told me could not be done, could day 6 , day 7 and day 8
But not day nine...seems really ridiculous to be turned away.

The math is just not there for us to do hoppers hopefully the flight centre ones will resurface or I will have to do gate add ons for my extra days,.:sad1::sad1:

...likely I will have to do something similar...flight centre still has 5 day hoppers I think at $229 .

5 day hoppers should be $224/adult, $206/child. If you are looking at 8 day 1 park/day, they are $220 and $201. If they come back in the system tomorrow I will post a thread:)

I went to flight center last week and told them I wanted the 8 day hopper that was listed on their website. They knew what I was talkin about as they had seen it in their reservation system the day before. But they then had issues and could no longer find it in their reservation system. So after a few phone calls they let us pay for the 8 day hoppers an then issued us two vouchers. One for a five day, and the other a three. Yes that means we have to go redeem our vouchers twice during the trip, but the benifit is that we get two magic mornings.

If the 8 day hoppers are still listed online maybe they can do the same for you. But I really hope they don't do away with the 8 day passes. I like others here am not exactly local and cant go any time we want. I like to maximize my time when I'm down there.

mystic path: that is great and very lucky for you. If anyone else wants to do that, they should do it today as I imagine flight center now knows the error and will change that quickly.
I just checked the Fun Sun/Holiday House res system and teh 6, 7 and 8 day hoppers are not there.

So I am in the same position...until I read this thread I thought the 8 day hopper was still available. We are headed down for 10 days this fall and the 8 day hopper would have suited us perfect.

Now what the heck to do? The most they offer is the 5 day hopper. I don't know enough about adding days and what not. Are we still going to be able to add days at the gate and will there be a limit to how many days we can add? Does anyone know where I can find this information? Ugh...this is so frustrating!! We are not going until November but had I known I would have bought the passes last week!:headache:
