Totally OT, but I just found out I am going to Epcot F&W this fall in either late October or early November. I am about the luckiest lady on the face of the earth!

I will most likely be going the last week of the Food & Wine festival. I have never been either. It will be fun to go with friends. I love going to WDW with my kids, but they rarely eat anything more adventurous than hamburgers or pasta.

We are interested in doing the FE. Thought we'd already signed up but I've been MIA and not sure we are on the list. We are traveling with another family and they will probably want to do it too. She wasn't able to PM yet though. Who's in charge of FE this cruise?

I need some gift ideas... We have Father's Day, my husband's 44th birthday & our anniversary all in just a few weeks. It is near impossible to buy a great gift for him. I would love to be able to tie in some of the gifts with the cruise.

We are getting him a great pair binoculars for his birthday, but that still leaves Father's Day & our anniversary... HELP~

What about a North Face jacket. The Denali is perfect for the weather. I'm in Seattle and wear mine every day year around. Or you could get him a light waterproof jacket and/or pants. I just go my daughter both for camp (x2) and Alaska. Columbia, REI Amd Marmont are all good brands. Cheaper ideas would be fleece hat/ mittens.

Your DH and I are the same age! Thanks for the binocular reminder, I need to pick up some of those myself. Keep us posted on which ones you decide to buy. As for gift ideas, I love Nicolepa's idea of a cool fleece or soft shell. Does he like to take pictures, what about a new camera? Do you guys watch The Deadliest Catch? How about some apparel from the show. Amazon has ton of tees and sweatshirts, I'm sure discovery does, too.

Lots of great ideas. Keep em coming, because now others are asking me what to get him. And he does LOVE The Deadliest Catch. So I will definitely be getting him TDC gear. He can wear it on his salmon fishing excursion.

He almost booked the crabbing excursion. Can't remember why he didn't. But the ship in the photo looked like it could have been on the show.

Yay, glad it was helpful. We did end up booking it and can't wait. The ship was on the show. Season 4, I think.

Not sure if you guys saw the thread on the main board, but the first Seattle to Seattle Alaska trip is back and they've posted quite a bit about the trip. I can't wait! Hopefully, we won't have a Victoria repeat, sounds like there were a number of snafus going on that night! Hi, everyone. Just wanted to point out that we set sail two months from today! Our Alaska adventure is getting closer and closer. Today also happens to mark seven years that I have worked for Safeway. Time certainly flies. Hope you are all getting as excited as I am for our fabulous cruise.

I am not sure if this has been discussed, but I think we should pick a date to finalize the FE list. I suggest no later than July 6, giving us a solid month of knowing exactly how many people to plan for.

Definitely do! I'm getting so excited, too! Has anyone done any research on binoculars yet? Was thinking about father's day for DH . . .
