Anyone sailing on this date for the Wonder? Sailing will be mom and 10 year old son, who will be turning 11 while on the boat. Any advice for celebrating birthdays on the ship? Also, anyone know if there are lockers/storage facilities at the Atlantis resort?

Hello again,
I thought of another question. Has anyone used the "Safe Sea" sunblock/anti-jellyfish/coral/waterlice lotion?

Hi Zacharybsmom! We will be sailing the same day! I am going with my DH, 2DS 10 & 8 and My Dmom and Ddad! I can't wait. I have been counting the days! We have a couple of days before we can make reservations. Our 75 days are coming up!

I am so glad there is someone else!!! I am so excited, my 10 year old son doesn't know yet. It is going to be his BIG birthday present! I plan on telling him on August 24, the night we leave for Florida.
I am holding my breath for Friday, hoping that I can get the reservations I am hoping for!

Took awhile but I finally found this! Is it true, only 3 of us on this sailing? I am going with two other moms - introducing them to the joys of Disney cruising!

Hello,
I have heard from two other families and one couple. Definatly not a large chat group started! ;) Cruising with friends only...sounds like a wonderful get away! Our vacation starts in 13 days... :cool1:

hey everyone!
not much time left before our cruise!! :cool1:

Just got all my docs/travel confirmations organized and printed today, so I'm really in the "getting ready" mode now!

disney6 ~
it's nice to see some other kid free parents onboard! Our family thinks we're nuts going on on a Disney cruise without the kids, but we can't wait. We plan on spending a lot of time in the adult areas that we weren't able to take advantage of much last trip. what do you have planned for Nassau day? I am trying to get DH to stay on the ship, but he wants to hit Atlantis instead.

This is what I wrote on the other Aug. 31 thread:

"Just saw this thread. Posted on the other thread. Am going with 2 other moms. I cannot wait! My DH and I have taken our 4 kids (and both sets of our parents) on two 7 dayers and my DH and I went on the Western 7 day by ourselves after those. It was GREAT! When we went alone we stayed pretty much in the adult only areas so really didn't see all the kids too much. There were a few times we said we wished the kids were there, then we'd go lounge by the adult pool and think "ahhhhh". You will have a great time.
My friends and I are in 2066, so we are close. I can't wait to see their reactions to this cruise! Maybe we'll all take our DH's and DKids next time."

So I'm not actually going with my DH either! I think we are going on the catamaran in Nassau. Personally I would prefer to stay on the ship but the other two want to do something. I'm hoping we are not sorry when we have to get off to do this excursion.

Our family thought we were crazy when my DH and I went alone too! Now they really think I am nuts because I am going with two girlfriends and leaving kids home again (and DH). I'd love if they could go but they can't so..... what's a mom to do? :woohoo: Maybe I'll get them a present - maybe booking another cruise for all of us again?!!! :goodvibes

hey guys, we are leaving in less that 2 weeks! Let's bump this up!!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc  :yay:

hey disney6....you still here???
I know the others on this thread are already in FL ~ not sure when you were leaving to go to PC for the cruise. Things do not look good for travel this week due to Ernesto :guilty: DH and I are supposed to fly to MCO on Wednesday night. I called Southwest to see if we could reschedlue to fly in on Tuesday instead and they said I would have to pay the difference in price at this time and DCL said no changes yet. I am starting to freak out!!!

well...how did everyone enjoy the cruise???

DH and I had a wonderful time. A little stressed at the beginning of our journey due to Ernesto, but we were able to fly in a day early just in case it got bad in central FL on Wednesday. We enjoyed Disney resort hopping and dinner at Port Orleans resort the night before the cruise.

Got to the terminal around 10:15 or so and got boarding card #3. When they called boarding card numbers 1 - 3, somehow we ended up being first in line and were the first ones on to the ship!!! DH thought I was crazy, but I just thought that was so neat!! We got a picture of the completely empty Mickey pool and it was right about then that I wished we had our kids with us :guilty: The only thing that made it better was knowing that we will be back in 4 months with them for a surprise 7 night Western cruise :thumbsup2

We had such a nice time relaxing and spending time together that we normally don't have the time to do at home. I hope everyone had as good a time as we did!!
