I could do a trip report, but we had all the magicical fun that everyone else had.
Loved Cozumel and Key West, but could probably do without Grand Caymen - not that tropical feel for an Island.
So I decided to dedicate this spot to the 2 greatest servers we ever had - and if they took my advice are reading this now!
This was our 3rd cruise and I guess we were spoiled by nice table locations on the other 2. If you ever see table 3 on your KTTWC run to the nearest person with any pull and beg on your knees to be changed - that is unless you are blessed with Gabor and Brett. The table is in the right front corner as you enter, PC was not too bad, but AP and L was really something awful. I now know where the control center is for the AP show, we were sitting almost in it. In L I was afraid my grandkids would fall through the front window.
But enough of that let me tell you about Gabor. He had the most out going personality that I had the pleasure of being with. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband was raised that you clean your plate. And beleive you he makes his mother proud. Gabor always wanted to bring him more food, he did eveything but lick the plate! We never had servers spend so much time talking with us, and not feel like they were trying too hard for their tips. I asked him about the Cuban drifters they picked up, the ship leaving GC and going back because the kids were in the clubs, and a lot of other things I read on the boards. Both Gabor and Brett just stood there speachless, which was quite a feat for Gabor, I told them about the boards and Gabor had me go on and on. I don't think either one of them realize just how popular DCL is to a lot of people. I gave them the address and they said they were going to find out for themselves. On the last night Gabor was thrilled because he had qualified as a life boat driver. My husband asked him what was in the kegs on deck 4 and he didn't know what he meant, I know I knew but could not remember. The next thing I know he has my husband and our dinner companion and they are running up to deck 4 to check it out. And funny Donna, from Boston, could get him going, he was from Hungry and I really don't think he understood some of our Yankee humor but he soon got wise to it. Brett was a very quiet guy, but a sweetheart. I think he might have just been learning, but he was very attentive and started talking more and more each day. Both asked all kinds of question about our homes, jobs and just made you feel like you had known them for years. And even though Gabor was in countdown, newly married and 7 weeks till he went home he never once made us fell like he was just passing time.
Gabor and Brett if you are reading this I hope you print it out and show it to, now let me think, what was our head waiters name. I know we saw him for 1 minute the first night and 1 minute the last, let me think....
This was what made this cruise a very memorable experience and I just wanted to share.
