Stacey--I am hoping for a call from my TA who has us in with IC. I guess that is one good reason for the lag time. They can grant IC requests first, then be ready for the influx.

IC requests won't be handled before the announcement but definitely before they open the sailings for booking on the 31st.

Soon after making the DIS rounds and being able to sit with his family I saw the character manager enter the dining room and make her way to their table. Apparently guests on the other side of the room were upset that Jack Sparrow wasn’t going around with the photographer, who knew nothing of an appearance in AP. So…he called BJ who knew that CJS was signing autographs at preludes at that moment. OY!!! This resulted in a meeting of the Captains at 7:30. It was hysterical!

Lisa/Todd how hilarious. I had just gone over to the trip report. The movie clip was awesome. My son was sitting here and he said "Is he going to be on our next cruise?" I honestly liked your outfit and mannerisms better than DCL's CM (sorry DCL don't hold it against me when the cabin granting fairy comes)......He also saw the pictures of your children and how much fun they had-- it made him excited for repo (if we get it)

Boy my family will have to step it up to fit in with you guys. I have a whole season to get better outfits.

Lisa was this on your most recent cruise in Dec.? You guys had Rachel? The next week we had Brent. I like them both.

Yes, that was the 12/9 cruise. We had Brent on the 12/10/05. He was great. He was Rachel's assistant on the 12/1/04 so we knew him before.

Could be that something is still pending (other than the approval from LA), or internal jockeying, or whoever was going to make the announcement is home sick and doesn't want to let someone else do it. It could be just about anything...

I'd read that DCL wasn't going to get the "official" okay from the Los Angeles Port Authority until today......so it would have been hard for Disney to make any announcements until after the meeting for final approval and the documents are signed, sealed and delivered.

I read that a couple of days ago, and had wondered all along about today's announcement date, so I'm not surprised at the delay.

Actually it's on the port commission agenda for 6pm tomorrow night ... the commission meets regularly, twice a month. DCL would've know that tomorrow is the earliest the commission could vote on it, as soon as it wasn't voted on at the Jan 4th meeting.

Speaking of pirates....that costume is fantastic! I wouldn't have been able to tell which was DCL's .....I can see where it caused some confusion. That's too funny!

I've worn a costume when we've sailed with the family, but in September when it was just us Moms...which is who I'll be with if I ever get to book this one......we just wore some pink pirate Minnie hats that we bought at DownTown Disney. They're cute....and that's what we'll most likely do again. With four women in one room, we have enough clothes and shoes to deal with, without bringing costumes along.
