8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC

I am still really curious to know which station you DJ'd for DisneyVegas, and what your DJ name was? Have you always lived there?

The radio station was POWER 97.1 the name was Todd "Hitman" O'Hara

Okay....that settles it. I'm not going on this cruise!!

First we have really lovely hockey-playing moms, and then there's Judy, the darling thing.....and now THIS....a gorgeous pirate's wife???

I'd have to walk around the ship with a BAG over my head, or die of shame!!!!

Wow?

Wow to what? That I get "sticky glares" ... or that I can't EVER remember whether I've been married 12 or 13 years... let alone the month and day - even though her Dad thoughtfully had custom made wedding favors made of tiny Thai Porcelin bottles which all had our anniversery date on 'em?
And in thoery, all I had to do to figure out WHEN I was married was to call one of our wedding guests who had one of those things still around? <chuckles>

I know... some folks who may not have posted a remark are probably thinking - boy do I tend to write the LONG version of everything.

Well... I gotta run now - all my fun for the afternoon is done now - and I have some chores to run now.

Cheers.... til after the kids come home, get fed, bathed and dressed for the evening. Well... in between now and then I might be refreshing the last page to see if I might happen upon another century marker to swipe....

It puts a tiny smile on my face to let my prose flow ocassionally....

... and for most of the other ocassions I entertain myself by dredging up images which might be applicable to a given post or remark.

I am genuinely please that you found my posting entertaining. Now if I could only get some kind of discount on my next rebooking for doing all these wacky posts!!!

OK... now I'm gonna be rushing for every minute of the next few hours if I don't break away....

Have you ever seen the Postcard Thread here on the cruise forum? If not, you should check it out. Over the past three years, I, along with the help of other DIS'ers have sent out hundreds of DCL posctards to anyone that sends in a request for one. Whoever receives them, really gets a kick out of the postcards. Well, that my infomercial for the DCL Postcard Project for this evening!!!

Autographed and all. Lots of tykes find out about their upcoming adventure with an invitation from Mickey, Capt. Jack, etc.

BTW, the postcards are not just sent to kids......I've been asked to send them to an 80 year old great-great grandmother and to couples who were celebrating their 25th, 40th and 50th wedding anniversaries, also to newlyweds who were taking their Honeymoon on a Disney cruise. Whatever the reason, whatever the age, it doesn't matter.

A DCL CM sends me all the postcards that are needed "free" of charge, and many fellow DIS'ers have supplied postcard stamps for this project. Mainly, my job has only been to answer requests, fill out the postcards and get them in the mail. The last I counted, we had well over 600 postcards mailed out.
