Okay so we now have a known TA---Ivanova (Susan),
a lawyer or the likes in CBJHockeyNut,
either a mathmatician or a research scientist in Crash (sorry I shortened the name there but it sounds cool and its easy to write.),
an ex DJ who now has turned pirate----Disney Vegas1,
a website designer----BuddyBear.
Who else????? What other bases do we have covered?

I'm a finance/accounting manager and DH is a police officer.

My Dh and i met my Sophmore year at PSU. I met one of his friends through my computer lab job (work/study) with what was a precusor to today's internet (an old VAX server).

I went with said friend to DH's apt for a night of drinking. It never worked out with the friend but DH began e-mailing me and the rest is ....history.

We've been together 15 years. Married for 10 of those years.

DD is 13 (don't do the math.:rolleyes1 )

Remember ...

... (you meanie) ... it's my SPOUSE that does all the math around my place... or rather, she's the one who tends to do it CORRECTLY. <chuckles>

Seriously, you'll never catch me doing relationship chronological analysis on anyone - as my spouse and I have been "best friends" for 22+ years ... and we've lived together for 21.75 years... and been married for 12 (or 13?) years. My parents, rather, my Mom really liked Alicia even though at first she thought my GF was a little short (as she asked me quietly in Chinese)... she warmed up to her far faster and very throughly compared to all the other "female friends" she met. So she encouraged us to sort of hang out together to the degree that it amounted to sharing the same address. My Spouses' parents on the other hand knew almost nothing of me for a pretty long time.

So - not only will I not be running any math on how many years you got down for DIS or DAT... I'm likely to calculate it in a manner that will make it seem ... conventional. Seeing as I'm challenged by counting over 10 with my fingers!

okay guys we are within a few posts of page 100 I'll race you guys for the TOP of page 100. Ready set, GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOG:banana:

OK, here goes:

Hazel and I met at our high school bus stop(after she moved into our 'hood), I was in 10th grade she was in 11th (yes, I married an older woman). I invited Hazel to join my youth group at church. At first, we were just friends, then in a couple of years it developed into much more. We are complete opposites, I'm the quiet and shy one(in person that is), where Hazel is talkative and outgoing. If you don't believe me, ask Tina(castoff) or Diane(allshookup) who we have cruised with in the past. We celebrated our 31st :bride: :groom: wedding anniversary this past October, man I must be getting old, LOL!!!

Our 1st DD (biological) was stillborn the day before my 22nd birthday, our 2nd DD (adopted) was born with dwarfism and only lived for 11 weeks. We adopted Angelina from Mexico when she was 7 months old, needless to say, she has been the apple, of this dad's eye!!! And no, she is not SPOILED at all.

Edited to Add: WOW, I started page #100!!! :) Do I get a pirate for that???

ANDY you dog------ you stole my TOP

oh well

DRINK UP ME HEARTIES YO HO ANYWAYS!!!!!
Congrats on page 100 1st post

Ha! Problem with the water aerobics is that I can't touch the bottom of the pool (adult pool) as I am... ah... vertically challenged?!?! (not quite 5' tall).:rotfl:
But I definitely will be one of the walkers/joggers on deck 4! Join me in the ams!

You and Hazel should hit it off, Hazel is all of 4' 7"

No Problem ....we will have plenty of time ....and of course he has to act the part ...LOL So who are you going to go as ??? Tia Dalma ??? that would be a great one ...lol or Pirate or Asian Elizabeth ...

pirate:

I absolutely LOVE Tia Dalma. I am so glad she'll be back in the next movie.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do for pirate night. I want an awesome costume, but my first chance to wear it will be on the Med cruise and with the luggage weight restrictions, I don't think an elaborate wench dress will work out to well.

Anyhow: Take What You Can!!!

Hey CBJHockeyNut -
What's the scoop on your screen name?
Watching hockey? Playing hockey? Ummm - table top hockey with peanuts as pucks?

Why do I ask? My whole family is hockey crazy - we all play (4 different teams = A LOT of rink time).

DH & I are also orginally from Ohio - where are you??

Pretty much hockey all the time. We live in Columbus and hence the CBJ. We were season ticket holders until this year but it was just too many games and we missed many to keep with with the kid's schedules. Cheaper to buy tickets to games as we go. Tickets are still pretty easy to come by. My wife and I are originally from the Toledo-area but now live in Columbus.

Both my kids play hockey, I coach hockey and don't get to play nearly enough. My son is a first year peewee (95) and actually plays in Cincinnati. I am one of the assistant coaches for his team. This year he is playing in a league which is generally Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. He is a goalie. My daughter is a second year mite (98) and plays on a house team in the Columbus area. She generally plays D. Her coaches shuffled things up this past weekend and she moved up to LW--scored her first goal of the season :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: (Not too many shots getting blasted from the point in mite house!!) With three practices per week plus anywhere from 3-5 games per weekend it's tough to get the smell of the zamboni off me this time of year!! (I remember someone mentioning earlier that pirates are supposed to smell--ditto's for hockey bags. The funk is just part of the "fun.)

Maybe if we get enough hockey talk going on the DIS board the new ship could have an ice rink. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Just one more thing to pack!!

Wow. I was trying to catch up, but it's been busy at work today. This is a very productive (or non-productive, if you're supposed to be working) group.

Oh boy - will ya look it dat!... #1496? ...

Hmmmm,......

I read DIS pages as soon as I get up...
I read DIS pages as soon as I get back from teaching Jazzercise
I read DIS pages as soon as I have showered & dressed
I reward myself by reading DIS pages after vacuuming the house
I reward myself by reading DIS pages after doing/folding laundry
I run the brownies over to DS's school for his "tasty Tuesday" treat and run home to read DIS pages for the 25 minutes before I have to go BACK to the school to pick up both kids...

and yes, I will likely read DIS pages once we all ge home again...

It seems to be the only way to keep up with this thread!:lmao:
Let alone the other forums...:surfweb:

Is there a cure? I see no end in site. I fully intend to rebook aboard the repo for the rumored Alaskan cruise (2010?)! My DH can't believe there are others out there as DISney crazy as me... I told him I think there are many who have it even worse!:hyper: And you know who you are...
I have 10 more minutes....;)

Quick up-date now that I just finished catching up--had to leave for awhile. When I came back I used the View First Unread link at the top. Holy cow!! I thought it would just take me to the last page I viewed and I might have to review a couple of posts but it would get me to the right place. NOOOOOOOO, it took me to the exact next post. Pixie dust at work-- pixiedust: (For those more computer literate than I--don't shatter my illusion.)

On an even brighter note, our cruise documents arrived today for our February 3rd Eastern.

To do list:

1. Finish packing for February 3rd cruise. (Ok, really DW's to do!!)
2. Book 15-day repo cruise on 1/31.
3. Leave for DCL on 2/2 for 2/3 departure.

That is a heck of a lot better to do list than anything sitting on my desk right now!!!

Well...

... TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!!!

DId I snag #1500?

AAarrrghhh!!!!
