8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 9

Hi Folks - I just called HoJo also. I talked to a very nice lady (I think "Jennifer" - but remember what I said about being bad at remembering names? ) ********************* - I explained that no, I was from a different group from a different website - the DIS Board (she asked me to spell it) and then she asked if she could put me on hold for a couple minutes.

When she got back she said she had just discussed this with her manager and since we are all going on the same cruise that they are going to treat us as one big combined group. She then gave me the rates of $71.20 for the standard 2 double-bed room or $79.20 for the 2 queen-bed room with DL view!!! (Prices before taxes) I booked the DL view for 2 ngihts (arriving Friday, leaving Sunday)

Just wanted to let you all know so you can try for the lower rate too.

Wow Pamela that's excellent news for those planning to stay at HOJOs! Thanks for the heads up! I haven't decided yet, but we will most likely stay at DL on DVC points, but that rate is certainly worth considering. Especially since many here are planning on staying there!

Well that stinks! You have to go back so that you can have a completely good memory of DL.

It just occured to me that I haven't been to DL since Grad Night/Senior Night when I graduated high school!

Thanks Pamela! You know what that means??? I can afford at least 6 more fruity drinks with umbrellas with that savings!

I don't often drink fruity drinks with umbrellas, even on vacation, but for some reason that is the conversion rate I choose ot use for vacation savings.

I wonder if there's a way to let the hotel know that we are a DIFFERENT group....I guess we just say "no, that's not us" ???

That is what I said....I just told her I was not with that group.....I told her the name of our sailing and she just giggled....I don't think she made note of it or anything.

have our Mega Millions ticket for tonight - GOOD LUCK!!!! to everyone here with a ticket!!!! We only get them when the pot is high - although I know that probably is against common sense...plus, DH won the NY lottery once along with a group of co-workers (not any where near enough to quit your job over) - so I am not sure it is worth it 'cause I doubt lightening strikes twice!!! - I tell him I am buying the ticket - 'cause he has had his chance!!! !!!

Just checking in while I take an early lunch. I made my 2nd portion of Turkey Joes in half a decade today. As some may know... I made my 1st batch of TJ last friday. Todays' is using a different variety of sauce and I tossed in an onion and a few sliced mushrooms. I'm about to take a bite....

And as for MEGA MILLIONS! I had to chime in and say we do the same... we only notice when the pot is huge and then we buy a few for giggles. We never won anything... not even a few dollars in return EVER.... so go figure why we even try? Why... for the chuckles of course! You can't win unless you've got a hot ticket(s) in your hands!

I called HoJo back, and spoke with Jennifer. She did give me the $79.20/night rate for the 2 queen beds w/DL view! I asked her what I should tell the other people from our group to ask for when calling back....************************. I told her we are a separate group, and she said that was okay....since we are all on the same cruise, they would just give us all the same rate. That just happens to be what they are calling the discounted rate.

Anyway, as a going away gift I made a copy (DH NEVER travels w/o his printer and laptop) of this last shot for all our tablemates, stuck it on a magnet and typed the name of the lock, our e-mail address and home address on it and gave it to them on the last night. Also made some copies for our servers. Truly a nice picture - will have to dig it out and post it here if any one is interested????? OK - them are my 2 cents on one of my favorite memories of that day!

May be none of my business but if you all know what amount of time I have spent trying to figure that out - I finally went to the front page and wouldn't you know it - its not there. My DH used to make green eggs and ham all the time for my kids when they were little. They loved it.

Now this is a great idea! I'll try to pull this off in the next few days!​
