I'm not sure why we are figuring out how old our kids will be when we are 49, but mine will be 24 & 22.

And we will be living in a cardboard box after paying for college for 2 boys who are only 1 year apart in school.

Okay, I have 8 more years until I am 49. I'll have DS21 & DS 19 . .yikes . . in college (well almost finished-they'll start early). . .guess my business will have to be booming . . .I'm looking forward to post college when I can go to law school . . . do you think I'll get into Harvard Law at 51? Do you think DH will move to Cambridge?

Now I'm really going to bed. . .

Night ya'll . . .see ya real soon!

So did anybody watch the re-run of The Black Donnelley's pilot?
I'm watching it again. This could be a really good show. Like Grey's Anatomy, West Wing good.

was this pic posted in the tiedye thread? we made the these shirts in orange for our halloween cruise...they turned out pretty good!

Probably. I made a little webpage with instructions on how to tie these shirts. I posted it someplace around here a while back.

Glad to hear they turned out nice!! I really do enjoy doing it. Still figuring out what I'm going to do for this year's trip though.

Because I was feeling like a very old mom...turning 49 in a couple of weeks and my two kids at home are only 13 and 16. Still have a long way to go before we can think of retirement.

But I forget that a lot of people are waiting longer to start their families now, so I'm really not the only one.

My brother was 15 when my mom was 49.

Talk about poor planning. I'm worried about paying for two kids in college at the same time, my folks had a kid in college almost continuously (18 month break) from 1990 to 2005.

We missed it the first time, so we did watch it tonight. Seemed like it took us a while to get into it, but when it was over, we agreed it looks like it might be a good show.

Heading for bed now, too. Not quite the weekend yet....

That's the down side of scrapbooking....the getting it all together part.

I went to a scrapbooking weekend in January and haven't touched the stuff since I brought it home. Yet, somehow I still need to get things together before I go to an all-day crop on 3/17. How on earth do I need to get things together when I never unpacked from the last time? I just don't get that at all. :confused3

Enna, you should be all set!

I'm heading out for the night too.

Last one out turn off the lights.

I know the feeling . . I have everything spreadout on my extra desk in my office . . I keep looking at it thinking I'll have time to at least finish another page. I'm about half way done with our trip in January. The crop for this month was cancelled (mainly b/c it has been me and my CM consultant . . LOL)

Have you tried the CM power box? It really helped me get me act together for my trip. . .now it's just spending the time to get it wrapped up . . soon . . :rotfl:

Theresa I haven't heard about that! I'll have to go to the website and check it out. But what has taken me so long tonight was that I cropped all of my Christmas pictures (I am doing those in a 6x6.) I didn't mat them and picked out what paper for each page, matched up paper to mat, picked what embellishments and did the journaling. I do that on the computer. So everything for that album is in the box it came in. And I know have about 6 pages sorted out for my 06 12x12. If I am not too tired when I finis catching up on here I think there are about 4 or 6 football pages to get out! I truly do have compulsive planning disorder. It is now 1:30 here and I am supposed to meet my neighbor at 7:45
LOL! But the plus side is that I will get at least 26 pages done tomorrow!

Has anyone seen the comic musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"?? We got nearly free tickets for the show tomorrow night. . . even DH is going to go! I'd love to hear what you thought . . .

I haven't heard of that. But hope you have a great time!

I;ve heard good things about the Putum County Spelling Bee... but I have not seen it personally.

Let me tell you a funny story... Feb 10th was my 11th wedding anniversary. But last year (on our 10th anniversary) my MIL passed away. Since I know the DW may not be up for it, I did not formally plan to do anything special on our 11th anniversay.

Well come the evening I ask DW if she wants to go out. She said sure. So I call my mom to watch the kiddies and decide to come into NYC and go to TKTS to get Bway show tix... I was hoping to get Putum COunty tix... but they had just sold out.

Most of the other shows we had seen except for the Color Purple and some other show called the Laughing Dog (or something like that). Well the DW did not want to see the Color Purple and the "Dog" was supposed to be a comedy. So we went for it on a whim.... well the show was about a male homosexual couple and yes there was frontal nudity.... :scared1:

Needless to say it was a memorable evening...

But I will make it to Putum County sooner or later!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I need some scrapbooking motivation! Any ideas on how to get caught up when you have never really started? What is a good way to start?

Thanks,

Poohmom :hippie:

Just start current and work backwards. It will motivate you more.

OK, since I am the only one here and I have caught up I will talk to you all tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great Friday.:)

Brack,

Elizabeth, is suffering with hip pain that developed while in physical therapy for knee surgery. While in PT for her knee they realized that her hip had never totally recovered in strength from a spetic infection she had emergency surgery on when she was only 4. She is 15 now. While trying o rehabilitate both her knee and hip this new pain started. The doctors think she may have some type of malformation of the hip joint or possible cartilage damage. The MRI arthrogram (spelling?) and Ultrasound will hopefully give us answers. Pretty sure some sort of surgery is in her future again.

Thanks for the  for her.

Wishing all my best for Elizabeth!!!

Hazel had a total hip replacement a few years back, her pain was so bad she could hardly walk, in fact I rented a wheelchair just incase she needed it while she waited to have her surgery. The surgeon said her hip also had malformation as well as arthritis. The surgery helped her a great deal.
