Hey Caroline.....me and you definitely gotta hang.....I have the control thing too! I hate turning over my destiny to someone or something else. That is why flying is the WORST of all worlds. It too high and I have to turn over my control to the Pilot. Hey, maybe he fought with his wife, or is drunk, or worse yet, depressed and wants to commit suicide....on my flight....you know take us all down with him.....dead..........well you get my drift..:rotfl: :rotfl:

you sound like DH :lmao: well get you caroline my DH and Dsil you guys can all drive to CA ill meet ya there:rotfl:

Great list Esteri - especially the getting dirty part!

Okay, now this isn't a must have but a must do! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT keep the house quiet as tomb when baby is sleeping - vacuum, play the radio, use the blow dryer. Get the baby used to sleeping through noise early on!

That's what we did with Angelina, that's why she can sleep through any kind of noise now. ;)

:wave2: Hi Pete & Johnna!

Hi Deanna, whilst Johnna watches The Empire Strikes Back I thought I'd sneak in a few posts.

I've also been searching for the longest time for material for my DD's POTC costume. I think I'm trying too hard to get an exact match. I've been watching the opening scene of POTC for the last week, with young Elizabeth Swann (DD age 11). It's embroidered silk. The real stuff is expensive, then I turned to faux silk in the Shantung style. What to do?

Too much info?

Tina--these x-rays are for my annual visit to see the orthopedic doc in a few weeks, but my knees have really been bothering the past few weeks as well. My left knee was so stiff tonight I could hardly get up on the table for some of the x-rays.

Take care, Andy!

Okay....I hadn't considered any of this before....Thanks O'Blender...;)

Nah...but at least tonight when I serve the leftover beef, I KNOW I won't forget the mashed potatoes.

Guess what I forgot tonight?!?!?!? The potatoes!!! I usually fix corned beef & cabbage in the pot. Today I tried it in the crockpot. The beef went in the cp & the cabbage was cooked seperately. The stupid recipe didn't say anything about potatoes!!! :headache: I nuked a couple quickly when I drained the cabbage. NEVER AGAIN!!! OY!

Johnna is also afraid of flying. I remember flying the October after 9/11 and making Margaritas at 6 in the morning before we left for the airport. Of course I could not let her drink alone.

Some Crocs help please friends!

I just received my Crocs Athens (flip flops) I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 depending on the width of the shoe. It said order up so I ordered on 8. They are huge. I know they are suppose to be a little big....but no....they're huge. Now I don't know if I should order them in a 7 or maybe even a 6. Do any of you have any input.

They really need to fit so that they're comfortable, because they are not at all attractive. :thumbsup2

The family went to Costa Rica last year to visit DH's family. I had to stay on for work, so DH was traveling with DS5 alone. (DS9 was traveling with his grandparents.) There's all sorts of paperwork he had to carry to take DS5 out of the country (and back in) with only one parent. Anyway....

They're returning to the US. At passport control the officer checks their passports, and the paperwork. Stands up and peers over the counter at DS5. (who was then 4) "Son, where is your father?" Big eyes. Thoughtful silence. "Who is your father?" Thoughful silence. "Are you traveling with your father?" Thoughtful silence continues. DH is starting to get a bit concerned at this point thinking DS5 is going to come up with "God" or "Heaven". DS5 is thinking too hard. Yet, he knows that he can't look concerned since that will trigger the officer to be concerned. The officer is starting to look a bit frustrated. DH quietly, and calmly says "Try 'Daddy'." "Son, who is your Daddy?" Index finger comes out and points at DH. "Thank you sir, you may go."

PRICELESS!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You have to write that one down for him to remember.

So, are you guys a Star Wars family or what?

BTW....love shantung.....that was the material of my wedding dress.

Hey Pete and Johnna! We need to form our own Fear of Flying Support Group. I just flew for our last cruise this past August. This was the first time since 1994. I truly detest it and often wonder if I could buy a parachute somewhere to be able to wear on the plane. A drink, a valium, and a parachute and I think I could enjoy the flight :lmao: :lmao:

Certainly, hence "darth" in darthrugby. My wife is the real fan. I'm just her side kick. Also come to think of it I was never a Disney fan until I married her either.

Shantung is expensive. Especially if it's embroidered.

everyone have a good nite i have to go to the hospital have to get my CPR renewed talk to you guys tommrow:wave2:

Add xanax to the mix and you'll just pass out.

Alot of women I know who are afraid of flying only developed this fear after they had children.

This support group should include beverages.

I am over on Ebay looking for an elephant tranquilizer for myself. Maybe I can find a "lot" of them on a "Buy It Now Option" .............Mark, oh Mark, where are you????? We're talking Ebay Mark :lmao:

OK, this is totally off topic but I have to tell someone who might actually appreciate it....

DH got up at 3 am this morning and called WDW dining. We're doing 10 days at WDW this coming August.

And he scores - yes - the Chefs Table at Victoria and Alberts. We've been wanting to do this since reading the review in the Wall Street Journal. He's so excited - it's the only thing he really wanted to do this trip.

HOW COOL!!!! :thumbsup2 It is nice to have someone else interested in getting up at 3 am to make resies. ;) Did he do this to surprise you?
