WOW that is all so true!!!! Makes me sorry for my own kids......they don't know what they missed. Although I do like being able to reach them by cell phone! :lmao:

Just think of it, a mere 15 years ago no one had a cell phone and everybody did ok.

I'm right there with you 1

Hey Caroline.....me and you definitely gotta hang.....I have the control thing too! I hate turning over my destiny to someone or something else. That is why flying is the WORST of all worlds. It too high and I have to turn over my control to the Pilot. Hey, maybe he fought with his wife, or is drunk, or worse yet, depressed and wants to commit suicide....on my flight....you know take us all down with him.....dead..........well you get my drift..:rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm the same way! Control issues and really do not like my life in control of others. I really thought this would be a subsconscious issue on the cruise also but apparently it being so big it's like a small city on the water, it wasn't an issue at all.

Some Crocs help please friends!

I just received my Crocs Athens (flip flops) I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 depending on the width of the shoe. It said order up so I ordered on 8. They are huge. I know they are suppose to be a little big....but no....they're huge. Now I don't know if I should order them in a 7 or maybe even a 6. Do any of you have any input.

They really need to fit so that they're comfortable, because they are not at all attractive. :thumbsup2

Well, I had mentioned before and was told I. Was. Wrong.
:lmao:
I wear size 7.5 or 8 in regular shoes, tennis shoes, dress shoes, etc. I wear size 6/7 in the crocs including the flipflops. I know that if I ordered size 8 they would be huge on me. I have some that say size 6-7 and some that just say size 7 (different kinds of crocs). My athens (flipflops) are all size 7 and fit perfectly with plenty of room. I think you probably need to go with a 7 or 6-7. I wouldn't push it going to 6 though. My eldest DD has some that are 5's and they are WAY too small for me... so I can't imagine size 6 being much bigger than that. So I vote go with 7 in athens- if they have the size 6-7 go with that but don't go with size 6. Personal opinion. Sorry you ended up with ones too big. :(
Do you have narrow feet? I'm just curious because it appears that with some people (primarily children but even my husband really) going with what Crocs say works... but for myself, nope. I have narrow feet (no matter how fat my body is LOL) and my first purchases were in the store so I could try them on. And everyone working there had on crocs and swore up and down that you shouldn't buy big because even if they fit perfectly at buying your size they stretch out some and end up loose. They were right and I know by trying them on that going with 8 was ridiculously huge from the get go. My size 6-7 or 7's in crocs fit great and aren't too tight.

Hookers and handbags....okay this is making more sense now. Gotta put the money somewhere....

The rugby team is basicly divided into:

Forwards (1-8) &
Backs (9-15)

The forwards are usually the more burly heavier guys while the backs are the lighter faster guys, thus refered to by the forwards as girls or "handbags"

Good info....I'm planning on ordering some of the flip flops as well.....

I don't think I'll be embroidering 5 yards of faux silk. Maybe one square foot, but not that much!:)

I have to embroider my DD's Communion dress. We buy a plain dress and then I embelish it (how Marth Stewart of me)

Pete do you do embroidering?? I must have missed something earlier in the thread (thread, get it?) Are you a surgeon? (stitching, get it?)

Seriously, that's impressive. I can't even sew a hem (use a stapler or crazy glue) and I don't own an iron. Although I do own a steamer, but things have to be really wrinkled before I pull that sucker out!

I grew up in a house where sewing was a way of life. My father was a tailor and mother a seamstress/nurse. I eventually learned from them and did help them in their shop almost daily. by trade I'm an er doc.

HOW COOL!!!! :thumbsup2 It is nice to have someone else interested in getting up at 3 am to make resies. ;) Did he do this to surprise you?

Sadly, no. :sad2:

The conversation was more along the lines of.... "Look Honey, I've got our ADRs for the coming trip. We've got V&A at 6:30 for the four of us - isn't that nice."

"But I really wanted the Chefs Table."

<I put on the evil spousal eye> "If you'd like that then you can get up at 4:00 in the morning and get it. Here's the date you'd need to call."

I have to give him credit. He did figure out that I got the time wrong all by himself and and really needed to call at 3am.

He was literally beating his chest this morning.... "I hunter, gatherer. I provide family with good meal." Really - he said that. He was very proud of himself. :goodvibes

Shhhhh. :ssst: Don't tell him I told you.

Watching AI right now.....am I the only one who likes Blake, the beat box guy? He's my pick so far!

Thanks Shelley that really helps! And no, my feet aren't narrow, there ain't nothin' narrow on me, except my mind! I gonna go order the 7! Thanks

That's it, I'm all caught up and am signing off for the night. By this time last night I was already sleeping like a baby. See y'all in the mornin'

That's cool Pete! I do remember that you're an ER Doc (to go along with Judy our ER Nurse). Do you make clothing?
