Only better..........................nothing bad happens there, and there is money everywhere, and there are no diets or illness.............oh yeah, and the blenders are bottomless............:lmao:

I catsup on posts made overnight during the bus ride the office. It was truly disappointing to get off the bus today and realize it hadn't taken me to Denialville but to a dreary cold bus stop one block from work. :confused3

Did everyone go make hot chocolate????

I sure did & if I only had a little Kahlua...it would be perfect! :cloud9:

Even better with Bailey's and a touch of Amaretto. YUM! :cloud9: Best way to survive a fireworks cruise from Wilderness Lodge in December when it's only 42 degrees and very windy!! :) They're pretty accomodating at Territory Lounge. Especially when we had to run back for 2nds because the boat wasn't ready for us yet.

Also, make sure you are on the same page now about circumsicion if it's a boy...and be prepared to communicate that to your counselor/hospital/birthmom as soon as you are notified! DW's cousin had a baby boy and they brought him to her in the mommy room a few hours after delivery...they had already done it!  She doesn't remember signing anything to have it done nor does her DH. But evidently that hospital still does it as a matter of practice :sad2: and you pretty much have to threaten them with legal action to NOT have it done! Our DS' hospital, by contrast, waits until Day 2 or 3 and then asks if the procedure is to be done or not :thumbsup2

And double-check your state's rules for baby seats. You'll have to have one before they even consider cutting off that "Don't steal me" sensor tag(s)!! We found out that even though some car seats (like the Britax convertibles) can accommodate kids from newborn to 3 years, some states require you to use the infant carrier! :sad2:

Um, a note on circumcision, we told our DR no-no-no, had yellow stickies everywhere, had it written down on the chart. We called in a pro to do it 8 days later ;), We did, however receive a bill from our DR for doing the Circumcision. Ooops.

I would suggest going to a local BabiesRUs and asking them the laws in your state.

We liked the Graco Metro. Buy a spare base for the infant carrier so you can use it in both mommy and Daddy car. The stroller that it locks into is great. You will sorely miss the convenience of the car carrier when the child outgrows it...

:figment:

[J. R.] Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties because it's coooold out there today.
[Judy] It's coooold out there every day. What do you think this is, Castaway Cay?
[J. R.] There's another reason why today is especially exciting.
[Judy] Especially cold!
[J. R.] Yes, especially cold, okay, but the big question on everybody's lips
[Judy] On their chapped lips
[J. R.] Right, on their chapped lips. Do you think anyone is going to talk about these topics today?
[Judy] That's right woodchuck-chuckers, it's...
[All] GROUNDHOG POST!

SO:
  • Did anyone get a room assignment from DCL today?
  • Lisa, did we tell you we really miss the website?
  • Cake. Yum, cake. With frosting. And whipped cream?
  • What size crocs should I buy? Are they comfortable? Boy, are they ugly.
  • blah, blah, blah N.R. (with swords)
  • Where are we going to be able to buy our lime green DIS T-****s for the cruise, Captain
  • The Tag Fairy doesn't like me. She likes me. I got tagged! It's like Christmas in February!
  • Did anyone get moved off WLE dining to Captain's dining?
  • Duct tape.
  • Who's going to win on that science-fiction show "AI"?

I didn't mean to do it. Honest. I was driving...okay, a bit too fast....he WAS on the side of the road. How was I to know he was going to run in front of me??? Poor groundhog. :sad2:

OK, the manifest has been updated with all info received until tonight.

251 Captain's dinner
152 Late dinner
66 WLE

So, why are people WLE??? Yes, I know what WLE is, I'm just curious why they haven't been moved. I booked with a late dinner seating - just wanted to get the whole process over and done with. Once we seriously talked about it, we wanted to change to early dinner. After finding the thread and seeing WLE for so many, I figured I had no chance but when I asked, they changed me right away, no problems. Maybe it has to do with the size of our group??? :confused3 Just found it weird. Especially when I knew there were others who were waiting for early.

OK everybody, if you want Judy to comeback you're going to have to show that you believe in her. Clap you hands & say "I do believe in Judy"

:confused3 So do you think Crash wants us to go check out some sort of video?:confused3

Good thing there is only one.

Hey everyone, HAPPY TUESDAY!!!
just skimming stuff since yesterday...
But I have to say quickly before going back again, is anyone else shocked that February is already almost over?!?! (Or is it just me?!?!) It could be because I've just been so dang busy, but February just seems to have flown by! (now if we can just get the next 12 or so months to fly by as quickly...ALTHOUGH...Not TOO quickly. I DO have to somehow come up with the rest of the money for the cruise! :lmao: )

Anyhow, back to my ketchup mission...BRB

We got a bill from our first hospital for the cost of the delivery twice. We called and asked them for the second baby and the account manager laughed and fixed it.

We also received a bill from the hospital for the circumcision that was performed by our pediatrician. A first they tried to claim this was some generic charge before we beat them into submission.

I'll second the Graco combo stroller/car seat. Really wished we'd had it with first two kids, but we were cheap. Living in Chicago, it was great to go from car to stroller without unpacking the baby. One thing, though, the stroller doesn't fit very well on WDW trams.

"There is no way this winter is *ever* going to end as long as that groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any way out of it. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him."

I just take the books people leave on their chairs for hours up by the pool. Free towels, too.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My favorite was once at Disney World. My DD, who was nine months, and I were sitting waiting for everyone else who was on Tower of Terror. DD went into a meltdown.

This happened to my brother at Home Depot. Took my niece there when she was 2 or 3. She had a fit because he said it was time to go and she wanted to look at Christmas lights. She started screaming and crying, he said very calmly if you can't behave, we're going to leave. She decided to kick him, so he quietly told her that was not nice to kick daddy, picked her up and went to the truck. Someone took down his license plate # and called the police. When he got home, they were waiting in the driveway. The police asked him what happened but he told my niece to tell him. After the convinced her that it was ok to talk to the stranger because he was a policeman, she told him. Daddy said no and I kicked daddy. Then we had to went home because I was bad.

I'm glad people are alert but that's a little silly. If they really thought something was wrong, why did they let him out of the parking lot?

Yes they are!!! When my DD was about a year old we were shopping in Wal-Mart. A lady came out of nowhere and started making a fuss over my daughter and the color of her hair. (She was close to being a baldy but had the cutest curls in the back.) Any way, she kept getting closer and started reaching into her purse. I stepped between her and DD in time to see that she was getting out a pair of scissors!:scared1: She thought that she could just snip a tress of her hair to take to her hairdresser to match.:scared1: I said that she had to be *$&(#*$& kidding me and she still pressed closer to DD. :furious: At this point, my hands were clenched into fists and I was screaming for security to come and get her away from us before an ambulance was needed. Even while being escorted away by the security guard she was still blabbing about what the big deal was.:sad2:

W T F!?!?!?!?!?! :furious:There wouldn't be a need for security...they would have had to call the police and a coroner!!!!!

You know, I've had people fawn over DS as an infant because he was (is ;)) a beautiful boy...can't tell you the number of times we've heard: "Ohhhhhh she is sooooo pretty!" :headache:

I once had a lady who was enthralled with his wild, curly hair but NEVER have I heard of someone trying to snip of some hair for color-matching!!?!?!

Sounds like someone was a student at the Pamelia Perkins Driving Academy! :lmao: Kungaloosh!!

I working for a Chrisitan non-profit organization and we have a devotional time every Tuesday morning that we can choose to attend or not. Today I went, mainly because my brother was leading it. After the singing, and prayer time it got all serious and quiet. In the middle of his devotion, he said... something, something, something "and all the hoopla that went along with it." My first initial instinct was to shout out HOOPLA after he said it. :lmao: It wasn't even that I had to think it. I heard hoopla and the immediate kneejerk reaction was HOOPLA. Thankfully I caught myself in time, but can you imagine having to explain that. :rotfl:

I guess that's my new bumper sticker. :sad2:
