MR, Adam will just be a fresh HS graduate when we cruise. He hasn't decided what he wants to do about college. Sometimes he mentions the military. But he has just not been that studious of a kid. I keep trying to steer him into going to the community college and taking business law, accounting and maybe some management classes. I hope to one day sell him our stores.

Angelina will also be a Class of '08 HS grad at cruise time. She said she wants to go to our community college, which will start the day after the cruise ends. That's one reason I haven't made a final decision about the 5 day cruise, following the 15 day cruise. I'm just going to see what happens between now and next summer.

Got all caught up, just in time to get Angelina up so she can start getting ready for school. ;)

You guys are slipping!:lmao:

Good Morning:)

Good Morning all.

Weather in beautiful Central NJ looks to be going into the 40s today. Watch out, it's a heat wave!!!

Happy Birthday Christine.

Today looks to be a great day. No meetings. I can actually get some work done and keep up with this.

So, are the men going to sound as bad this week as they did last week on AI? Is there any man in this year's group that can challange the ladies? I also want to see what sort of shout-out they give to Jennifer on her Oscar win. They need to do something to consume 90 minutes of my life. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey Crew, I'm back! What'd I miss over the last week? Wait - I know - just go read the summaries... :rotfl2:

Many thanks to Enna for covering for me during my absence.

And without further ado, here is the Pirate Joke of the day. This one is in honor of the day we all (or most of us) got our cabins. (Sure hope Enna didn't use this one already...)

Long ago, when sailing ships ruled the waves, a captain and his crew were in danger of being boarded by a pirate ship. As the crew became frantic, the captain bellowed to his First Mate, "Bring me my red shirt!". The First Mate quickly retrieved the captain's red shirt, which the captain put on and lead the crew to battle the pirate boarding party. Although some casualties occurred among the crew, the pirates were repelled.

Later that day, the lookout screamed that there were two pirate vessels sending boarding parties. The crew cowered in fear, but the captain calm as ever bellowed, "Bring me my red shirt!". The battle was on, and once again the Captain and his crew repelled both boarding parties, although this time more casualties occurred.

Weary from the battles, the men sat around on deck that night recounting the day's occurrences when an ensign looked to the Captain and asked, "Sir, why did you call for your red shirt before the battle?". The Captain, giving the ensign a look that only a captain can give, exhorted, "If I am wounded in battle, the red shirt does not show the wound and thus, you men will continue to fight unafraid". The men sat in silence marveling at the courage of such a man.

As dawn came the next morning, the lookout screamed that there were pirate ships, 10 of them, all with boarding parties on their way. The men became silent and looked to their Captain for his usual command. The Captain, calm as ever, bellowed, "Bring me my brown pants!!

Enjoy! I'm off to read the summaries...

Welcome back!!!

Well I don't want to whine or anything, but my Monday sucked. :sad2: DH & had a big argument & that upset the kids & I would go into it, but I don't think everybody needs or wants to hear all my dirty laundry. Wanna meet for a drink? ;)

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Wooohoooooooooo!!!

Now what does that mean??:guilty:

It just means that Lisa is able to send emails to our group without anyone who receives the emails being able to see all the individual email addresses . . . it's a nice security measure to prevent our emails from being used for any other purpose than the one we signed up for (messages from Lisa about our website or other relevant updates).

You know Paula that does seem a little high, must be because it's Easter. If I compare it to our TOAL (Trip Of A Lifetime) we have 10% off each cabin. Cat 6 and Cat 11 total 10,013.00 (and we have $800 in OBC) and that's for two weeks. So really I guess I getting a bargain....Yeah Right :scared1: This is of course why I had to cancel our NCL Dawn this August. That was $5,000. So in cancelling that one, I feel like the TOAL only cost $5,013. I told you it is fun living in Denialville! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Love you train of thought!:rotfl: We just paid off both vehicles and that money will easily cover the trip from now until then!:thumbsup2

Yes. As soon as we know for sure that we have a placement, we have agreed that we will both take our max vacation time for this year all at once. For me, that is 3 weeks. So we're hoping to take one week all of us together, then we'll each get to take seperate time (that way we get some good family time, but it will also allow each of us some one-on-one to have time to bond with the child seperately.)

It's a really exciting time in our household these days! It's sort of like being in the last trimester of pregnancy! We're just in that waiting/preparing stage!!

That sounds like a good plan.....Your whole world is about to change! For the better, of course.....May I recommend a good book to you? Surrendering to Motherhood by Iris Krasnow. I read it when my ds11 was first born. It really helped me put things into perspective. I think it would be a good read to prepare you and your partner for the change that is about to take place in your lives. I wish you all the best.

One little giggle is worth WAY more than 1000 dirty diapers!

how do you get 1/2 price tix??

Hi Shannon -- sorry I wasn't around last night to answer questions about NYC, although of course Jack did a beautiful job . . . you can PM me if you have any specific questions and I'd be glad to help.

I would just mention that you can go to a site called broadwaybox.com and look for discounts on shows as well . . . the discounts are not usually half price like TKTS, but you can see everything they have available in advance and if there is something you really want to see, get the tickets online at usually about 40% off . . . you can also print off coupons from there to take to the box office for ticket discounts, so you can check out the TKTS booth and use those discount coupons as a backup if you don't get anything you like at TKTS.

Oh yeah! How could I forget. I don't like to fly, and my niece was moving back to GA so I drove down and helped her, then proceeded onto FL. I was picking up DH and the girls from the airport. Well, they missed the plane because DH had decided the girls might get thirsty while flying and packed a whole case of juiceboxs in the carry on. Of course this was during the ban on liquids. :headache: They were all pulled aside and their stuff was searched and they missed the flight by about 5 minutes. He swears to me that they got there in plenty of time, but the lines were very long also. They almost missed the next flight because they forgot to reissue on of the tickets. Luckily we got there on Friday night.:rolleyes1

So I imagine the next step would have been divorce proceedings if they hadn't made the next flight?

[J. R.] Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties because it's coooold out there today.
[Judy] It's coooold out there every day. What do you think this is, Castaway Cay?
[J. R.] There's another reason why today is especially exciting.

[Judy] Especially cold!
[J. R.] Yes, especially cold, okay, but the big question on everybody's lips
[Judy] On their chapped lips
[J. R.] Right, on their chapped lips. Do you think anyone is going to talk about these topics today?
[Judy] That's right woodchuck-chuckers, it's...
[All] GROUNDHOG POST!

SO:
  • Did anyone get a room assignment from DCL today?
  • Lisa, did we tell you we really miss the website?
  • Cake. Yum, cake. With frosting. And whipped cream?
  • What size crocs should I buy? Are they comfortable? Boy, are they ugly.
  • blah, blah, blah N.R. (with swords)
  • Where are we going to be able to buy our lime green DIS T-****s for the cruise, Captain
  • The Tag Fairy doesn't like me. She likes me. I got tagged! It's like Christmas in February!
  • Did anyone get moved off WLE dining to Captain's dining?
  • Duct tape.
  • Who's going to win on that science-fiction show "AI"?
