Thanks Paula! Not the first time someone has harrassed me on the subway. I guess you kinda get used to it. I seem to attract all the freaks..lol

Mary

I am all of the time running off the street people from our parking lot. Over the years I have gotten pretty good at it.

I don't think airline people necessarily give special deals. I do know that TAR often has made arrangements to only allow so many teams on each flight which is why an airline will say a flight is sold out. I've also had airline people and travel agents tell me one flight is the fastest when it is not b/c they failed to check flights with multiple stops. I've also had airline people put me onto a supposedly 'full' flight and gotten upgraded to first class just by asking.

So, TAR fans, who is next to be eliminated?

My guesses:

Dave & Mary next, then Rob & Amber.

I am currently betting on Eric & Danielle to win it all.

I agree that David and Mary are not going to do so well, but Eric and Danielle? They don't seem to work too well together.

Rob and Amber will probably make it to final 3, along with Danny and Oswald. Those two are a hoot!:rotfl: As for the others, it is really hard to say.

Gotta go folks! Time to get some stuff done around here. Maybe I'll be back later when the kids (and DH) are sleeping;)

Mary

Night Mary...........I'll be gone by the time u get back :wave2:

Mark

OK, that does it for me, I'm signing off for the night, see y'all on the flip side.

DW started Weight Watchers this weekend! :scared: She was going to try the 6 Week Body Makover but when the kit arrived, she saw that she was alloted 1/2 cup of boiled/baked chicken or some such thing, no salt, no dairy etc! Back into the box and off it went!! Instead she decided to do the WW and she likes the people so she'll prolly stick with it :thumbsup2

Of course that means I have to decide if I'm going to turn in my order fo GS cookies...she said at the meeting the counselor asked how many cookies people would eat, favorite kind etc. One guy replied he could eat 5 or 6 easily but limits himself to that. The counselor was excited and said that's really a good thing to limit to 6 cookies...wrong, he corrected her, 5 or 6 BOXES!!!!!:laughing:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Deck 7 Book Swap during cocktail hour?

Sounds like a plan. I usually bring paperbacks and by the time I finish it has always gotten wet and starting to swell. But if we swap, i will treat them nicer.:thumbsup2

hope everyone has a better day than me

Maybe you should just drive down and back?:confused3 Or get a U-haul...

I'm so far behind I won't even attempt to ketchup - GS Matt shared a "Kndergarten Kold" or some sort of flu and we've all spent the entire weekend sick. Kept him home from school today - which is fine as I get to rest also - but I'm tired of kids TV!!

I miss reading all the posts though - I enjoy them so much.

Someone asked me last Fri about where we are in So. Cal --- we're in Redondo Beach. Going south from LAX there is El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. The strand is a paved walkway that is adjacent to the beach. Along it are beach homes and some restaurants. THe strand in Santa Monica and Venice is quite something - their is "muscle beach" and a ferris wheel and part of the strand actually runs through the middle of the beach. Its' a great place to bke or roller blade and people watch.

Gotta get back to my nursiing duties.
Chris

:sad1: I've lost my position!:sad1:
Oh no you haven't! I can have 2 bestest friends. You're too superty cool not to be my bestest friend always in my heart. :)

A not-so-funny story. When DD#2 was tiny, we went out to dinner one night and she was wearing one of those itty bitty headbands. Some woman came to our table and said "Oh, what a pretty little baby" but then she looped her finger under the elastic headband, snapped it back, and said "But why do people like you insist on putting these on their heads"!!!
DH had to hold me back. It was about to become MOMMY SMACKDOWN!

OH
MY
GOD!
I'd have had to held my HUSBAND back or we'd end up in jail (he's the hothead.. I'm mouthy while he's physical I guess. Not that I've ever seen him in a fight but I could see it happening if someone did that to our baby!) I cannot believe she did that! The entire restaurant would have known what a loser she was and what she did to my baby because I would not have been afraid to tell her what I thought and LOUDLY. I cannot believe she did that... what nerve! (and as if popping a headband on an infants head is somehow "less obnoxious" as putting the headband on the baby to begin with? What are people thinking???)
 Oooh, this story made me totally mad. Furious.

Good for you! Why would a 14 year old want to hang around 6 - 8 years old:confused3 .

We had a neighbor across the street who used to hang out with my DD when she was about 5. I had him over 1 time and 1 time only. I don't understand if the parents never taught him but when he came over (he was 7) he went through my kitchen cabinets and opened my refrigerator looking for food. Then he put his dirty sneakers on my couch. He moved soon after that :).

Mary
Oh I hate kids like that! Well hate may be a strong word, but I severely dislike them. LOL There always seems to be one kid at Ruby's slumber parties and such that is like this- and I have to lay down the law because I don't even allow my OWN kids to go scrounging in the cabinets just looking for something to eat (although they know where things are, they still ask if they can have this or that and get permission before going to get it to eat) and I wonder if some kids were raised in barns or something. I mean I know my kids are LAZY/messy- such as leaving things around all the time, but atleast they take their shoes OFF and just leave them on the floor and stuff instead of putting them up, they would never go putting their dirty shoes ON the furniture! for crying out loud...

I was hoping I wouldn't have to get them every year, but my primary care doc and my ortho seem to think I will. :sad1:
I did just read that they've finally made a knee replacement just for women...sized smaller than what they've been using, so that might work well some day. Just want to hold off on "some day" for as long as I can!

My MIL had double knee replacement years ago. She recovered quite quickly and is doing very well now. I wonder how long they are expecting you to wait- until they think you only have 10yrs to live or something? LOL (I say that because earlier you'd said they said they last 10yrs and you'd have to get it done again if you got it done now... so what- they are waiting till they don't think you have more than 10yrs to live to do the surgery? Otherwise ANYTIME you got it done, you'd be likely to get it done again in 10yrs. :confused3

I was all confused and thought AI came on today because I was all confused thinking today was Tuesday! What's that about? I even took the girls to GS so I know it's Monday because of GS... so weird.

Oh and we probably won't go on the cruise. I was all thinking oh hey the kids are off, sis can watch them and we can head out on the cheapest cruise la-ti-da... totally forgetting that DH would have to get off work! And totally forgetting to add in the loss of income for the week on the "cost" of the trip.
:(

our son has recently expressed interest in joining us on this cruise we are wondering how many 20 years old's are also sailing before we check with DU on adding him to our reservation thanks

That is how it feels sometimes! My DH would swear that his work day feels like 1200 hours...lol He is a NYC bus driver. :)

Mary

My DB is one of NY safest also. He works out of Yukon Depot here in SI. Usually tries to do mostly express bus routes, the people are less crazy then the ones on the local buses, but not by much.

My DS will be 19 when we sail. He will turn 20 that November.

Evening night crew! Just doing my ketchup after a long day at work. I'm glad to see I'm not too far behind.
