I wish I were so quick witted. Oldest DD once stuck her tongue out at me. I told her not to do that, and she said "I wasn't sticking my tongue out...I WAS TASTING THE AIR"!!

What the heck can you say to that??

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

OK, I called DVC Member Services this AM, and they told me that there was a big meeting yesterday about the cruises. They are not going to do tiered pricing (other than your deck/stateroom) and they will have rates next week...

So take this FWIW,

:figment:

I would say, "then don't taste the air in my direction"!

Sounds like a sing-a-long is brewing. Do we have anyone here who is responsible for stopping this??? :rolleyes1

I'm here now! :wave2: Warning: Do Not attempt singalongs! Move your fingers away from the keyboard! This is the DIS police!!! ::cop:

There can be more than one officer on duty right Andy?

My DS has had speech therapy since Kindergarten. He is now in 4th grade & doing much better, but he still has a bit of a problem with the ch & j sounds. The doctor seems to think that by the time he is a teenager, even those sounds will be corrected. Hope everything works out for your DD! :grouphug:

My DS has a problem with his "s" and "sh" sounds.

very clever!

My dh, Rob, was known as Robbie when he was young. He couldn't say his "R's". So he introduced himself as Wobbie.

Thankfully, he grew out of that....

Since Andrew expressed that BTM was his favorite ride. What is everyone elses favorite ride at any of the parks. Mine would have to be the Matterhorn and has been my favorite since 1959 when it opened.

EPCOT - Soarin' :thumbsup2

Of the new ships I think their names will reflect the type of service they intend to give.

If it goes to the west coast it will be called LAND

If it is for kids with two decks of kids clubs it will be called the CHANNEL.

If they get anymore expensive they will be called CREDIT CARD.

So

Disneyland or
Disney Channel or
Disney Credit card

Pitty that is only at DL CL. I liked that.

I like the BTM best at DLP, then DL/CL before the WDW one.

Well, after our 12/05 cruise I was determined not to listen to the kids saying gimme all the time. DH being gone so much resulted in the guilt toy reward thing when he was home for a day or 2. I got upset that DD started looking forward to him coming home because she would get a toy & not just to spend time with him. He couldn't say no to her so he gave in & I had to deal with the bad habit & was the "bad mommy." So, I wanted the kids to appreciate to cost/value of things. I started giving them $4 a week. They don't get all of the money though. $2 goes right into their bank account. $1 goes to their spending money. $1 goes to their cruise fund. They only get the spending money once a month so 4-5 at a time. I match the money in their savings account. When they want to buy something they have to pay half of the cost. I keep an account book for each of them with a running total for each of the three groups of money for them. They were quite upset when we opened their bank accounts. They got upset when we left their money there. DD said that I gave all her money away. :rotfl:

They bought things pretty quickly at first but now really think about how much they are saving up.

My kids have become quite good about saving for things they realy want. They have also learned (the hard way) that they need to figure out if they really want that impulse buy that they will never play with.

Or the Disney Loan or Disney Refinance

As big as these new ships are, I am wondering if they would even fit throught the Panama Canal? Makes me think that these will wind up in the Caribbean and remodeled Magic or Wonder will be out on the West coast for us.

Which is what Todd said they would do. Hmmm...wonder how the widening of TPC will affect the crossing. Are they going to widen the locks too?
