Are we supposed to believe that's her real name?

Does he still have his achy-breaky-mullet?

Okay since everyone is gone now and I have taken to talking to myself and the kettle person.......

Squirrels were mentioned earlier....
Remember the hurricane triple punch to Florida....well my mom called me to come over as she had this "varmit"(TX lingo) laying in her front yard. I went over and there were these 2 baby somethings with umbilical cords still attached. I picked them up and brought them home and later discovered they were squirrels. I used to get up all through the night every 3 hours and hand feed them. I tried to get them to a wildlife rehabilitationist but since every squirrel, raccoon, possom, snake, deer, gator ....had been affested they had no room. Word got out amongst the golf course maintenance crew and they kept bringing me more.............I ended up with 22 squirrels.
Here are some pictures of their journey

This was during the last Hurricane and we had no power and we had to keep them in our bathroom.

Wow!

Then here is when we released them back into the wild......that is my sister you see there.......

Pot -

I had a pet squirrel for about 6 months. How did I end up with a squirrel? DH's friend accidentally shot him. They were hunting for rabbits, not baby squirrels, so they brough him home and I took care of him while he recovered. Named him Tibalt.

I'm the best BiP? I thought I was the only one!
Kidding- thanks!
And thanks to everyone else too. I can't believe I got it!
I also can't believe how excited I am over just getting a certain number post... I think I'm weird.

I saw that....

Yes but we all have to cope with lifes twists and turns, thats the cards we have been delt, others have far worse ones top cope with.
Well yes, there is always someone that has it worse, but don't you know you and your family are special? We love ya, that's all. :)

I know but I have now shared ALL my knowledge in total about our cruise itinerary.......
Ohhh, I wonder if they are linked to in the summaries. I must have glossed over them and would like to reread them! Such good info!

DH was the same way for our first cruise. Once we got to the terminal he was asking me who we were suppose to meet. LOL! He enjoyed knowing our tablemates & the fact that the kids had others their age to talk to. He started asking more questions earlier with the second cruise. Once he met John & his family, he started reading the boards himself but he doesn't have an ID.
So was my husband.
We didn't see anyone in the terminal (and yes we were there early! We just somehow didn't see all the people in the gray shirts?) -well only a couple of people... in line before security and one couple after that.
But then after the DISmeet on deck 10- he kept expecting us to meet up in large groups the rest of the cruise- and actually we hardly saw anyone the rest of the cruise! A person here and there- but mostly the same people over and over. (and you've already heard my sob story about how our linked dining somehow got messed up with our family de-linked for some reason). He kept asking me about it and I was like I don't know what to tell you- but heyyy, weren't you the one always acting like I was silly to spend so much time talking to people before the cruise on the disboard? LOL I think he was secretly hoping to meet lots of people on the cruise.
Ohwell, he's getting another chance eh? :)

Awwww!!
you are such a wonderful person!
I like your little helpers there too. :)

Judy, you're killing me with the photos of Las Caletas! I want to go NOW.

That's one of the few excursions we've ever done that DH actually remembers. He says the others "all run together"........

We were on the boat going over there, and there was this really lovely family sitting right next to us. A pretty little mommy with two sleeping little ones....the mommy probably thought I was some weird psycho because I couldn't quit staring at the cute sleeping kiddies........

It was Judy and family! We'd not yet met.

Anyway.....on the way over there, the boat operator asked if anyone was interested in doing a "resort dive". It's where you take a short class, and then they take you diving for the first time. Jay & the kids and I have snorkeled forever, and travel with good friends who dive, and we've always been plenty happy just snorkeling. But we decided to give it a try. Jay has trouble with one of his ears, so he was concerned about it. Judy's husband offered some great advice and support.
I am soooo glad we did it! It was a really great experience.
Jay did find out that he really can't dive, but he was glad he tried. Jared, who was not yet 12 at the time, really liked it alot & will probably take lessons eventually.
Me? I liked it. A lot. But I prefer to be in charge of my air supply.

It was a really pretty spot to go to. They don't take any private excursions out there at all, so once everyone spreads out, it really doesn't seem crowded.

I have to decide if we're going back there in June of '08 with the family, or if the Moms and I are going during this cruise. I don't know if I want to do it twice in one summer.

While everybody else is trying to figure out a way ot get rid of the squirrels, I feed them and build them extra houses......my neighbors love me.....:lmao: :lmao:

Can't tell you how many times I've seen that movie! I also have the cd.

How sweet is that? They were very blessed to have found you, they would have surely died had you not taken such wonderful care of them.

Me too ......also a "Grease" fanatic. I pop in that DVD whenever I need to be ina great productive houseworking mood. Love to vaccuum to great music...:lmao: :lmao:

Hey we haven't done the "Grease" singalong........
tonight .....its a date.....

You must go to work when my DH does....before the sun comes up.

Speaking of....I think a long time ago everyone was talking about what they do for a living.
We own (25+ years) an ornamental iron (wrought iron) business. We make everything that could possibly be made out of steel and copper. Everything from the construction phase, such as I-Beams in buildings, to blacksmithing.....wrought iron gates, fences, window guards, pot racks, fireplace screens, chandeliers......
No, you will never see me in a pink welding helmet. I leave the dirty work to the guys. I keep the books and all.

We also own commercial rental properties that I manage.

Cool! :) My GF was a blacksmith. He did most of the porch railings in the homes & Churches where they lived.

From the first picture I can see why you didn't know what they were! What did you end up doing with them?
