Thanks I think ( hope) Alice will be ok, there isnt any sign of a problem she went back to school this week after an absence of 8 days, but the ear dressing is on and will not removed until 1st March, then I will know it is all ok, she can hear from that ear so thats good. but success rate is 75%, so need to consider the options.

I cannot post here much about this, some might put two and two together, but If she felt people on the cruise knew too much she might not go in the future,

Just to say its a recurring illness and is hard for all, her but particularly the Kids to cope with and it cannot be solved in weeks or months.

Against what others have posted they have been though, is one of lifes hurdels to get over, and bounce back from. Having Andys tenacity would help.

Okay the Puerta Vallarta post I had been promising.......
Top photo is where Darth, Enna and others will be struck down by lightning....It is downtown.

Remainder of the photos are from the excursion that Stacey and I took.More on that in a minute.....

We dock the ship at PV. I don't remember the sharks selling time share like jonesing mentioned but we went on an excursion all day and then came back refreshed, and went downtown for dinner and drinks. The taxis that are on th inner circle are extremely high priced. If you walk to the gates of th port you can get one for nothing.....Downtown is a very short ride and taxis are abundant. Downtown is really beautiful. They have done the waterfront side of the street with beautiful statues and nice walkways. It seems reallly clean although that is just the main street....a few rows back it is a stark difference.

Our excursion was the "Las Caletas Hideaway". It was once the luxury retreat of John Huston. It is only accesssible by boat so no vendors here. It included a 60 minute boat ride, 4 1/2 hours to enjoy the beach or for an addl cost rent kayaks, scubadive, massages, snorkel, ...They have the greatest fresh squeezed lime ade that I can't help but think about as I write this YUM!!!! Then they serve you this wonderful mexican meal with fresh made tortillas and paella. And of course that includes your return trip to the ship.....
The only sad part was they had this poor sealion in captivity. Stacey can probably tell you more on the scuba as that is how she met us---she struck up a conversation with my DH "Dr. O" about equalizing.

Oh Andrew! I had no idea you were going thru so much! Ofcourse we understand not wanting to share every detail, but just know that we care and we're all going to be thinking about your family and praying for them.

The worst is having to evict someone. Especially when it's their business. (but heck, if you don't pay the rent on your business, then you deserve to be evicted, right?) Anyway, twice I had to go nose to toes with two different renters to kick them out. And both were big, scary guys.
Never could talk the DH into doing that nasty job for me...

Yeah yuck, that would not be fun at all (and I'm betting in the same situation my DH wouldn't do it either. *rolling my eyes* I'm surprised I don't have to wipe his butt, I do everything around here.

That sounds like a great excursion because it sounds like we could all go together but then DH could go off and scuba dive some-without us all having to go our seperate ways directly from the cruise ship- all day seperated. Yanno? I definitely need to make a note of that excursion!

Lisa, I doubt the boy stood up to his father... seems like a wimp to me and the dad a bully! (did you see the video with sound and the stuff the father was saying right before this happened w/his son and Tigger?) I'm surprised they didn't file a civil (ie: for money) case though- they only filed a criminal case?

Notice how I am always in 7th place, Captaincrash. I think I post a lot but I keep staying in the same place. not that I'm trying to get higher... I actually wouldn't mind if I dropped a little on that list. I'm a true blabbermouth though!

This looks so beautiful! We almost did this the last time we were in PV, but decided to go to a local beach instead. I regretted not doing Las Caletas when I heard how wonderful it was. It sounds like a must do for next time. Thanks for posting this Judy!

Yes I believe it is. And from what I understand, she's supposed to be on the show here in the states this season. I'll have to check the website and see who else will be on. There's usually an athlete,a t.v. personality,a soap opera person,a musician etc.
