See ya later. Have to go buy a plant for my DD's science project.:)

What kind of project is she doing? My dd got her science fair experiment approved. She wants to see how long it takes for cheese to spoil!

Good morning...I got up today and promptly fell to the ground! Sharp, shooting pain from my big toe. Swollen to about 3x its normal size! :sad1:

Good news is I'll stay home and can maybe keep up with the board! :rotfl:

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 What from?? Around here, we'd suspect a bug bite.

OK, so when my doctor asks why I've gained 25 pounds...I can use BIP as my trigger? "She MADE me do it!! She pushed me right over that edge, and I had to buy all of the peanut butter cups I could find in the bi-state area!" :sad2: :lmao:

Maybe now is not a good time to say that Safeway's brand of peanut butter cups are really, really good....and much cheaper than Reese's.

Well, I better go back to painting and finish that room. I am not nearly as productive as some people on this board...

The whole point of the website it to help everyone communicate better with each other. That is done thru emails. Honestly, that isn't the biggest concern. I have NO way of sending out the emails as a BCC and noone has come up with a different way of doing it. Right now Theresa and I are working on setting up the new site that will have a lot more information and have a password to access it.

OK, thanks for all your hard work on this.

Guess we all should just look at the cruise as a donation..........too bad we don't get the tax write off:lmao: :lmao:

I dunno...can't I convince Turbo Tax that it's deductible? :confused3

But now that you mention taxes, I guess I can surf our banks' web sites to get the relavent PDFs so I can get going on our taxes this weekend. W-2s were supposed to be posted to our secure portal by now so the only thing left to get is the TT software. Gee, only 2 state returns to file this year! :yay:

I so love the TT commercial where the customer is sitting at the desk of the "tax man" who asks "Did you sell your house?"....hunt, peck, click..."Number of children?"....at which point the client takes the keyboard away! :thumbsup2 Yeah, that'd be me! I made the mistake of asking the H&R tax rep in WM how much to have our taxes done...worse than a used car salesman!!!! Couldn't get a straight answer other than the "general" cost for one federal return, one state return with one W-2 and "free" efile was "around $109"!!!! And there is an extra cost for EVERY additional piece of paper (W-2, 1099s etc)!!!!
jaw-dropping.gif
I'm thinking "eff that noise!!!" as a coworker often says! Because our return would probably cost in excess of $400 not to mention they couldn't do it right there anyhow because our out of state return would have to be prepared at the district offices! So instead of getting the return done while we shop, we'd have to wait "up to 3 weeks" for them to do it! :sad2: No, sorry, I'll stick with TT!

With all of the catching up I was doing yesterday, I never got to telling my story with Sarah. She was born 13 weeks early, just shy of 2 lbs, and stayed in the hospital for 10 weeks. She had her ups and downs before she came home, but she is a very intelligent, put together young lady now. But that may be changing all too soon as she turns 13 today!:scared1:

She was TEEENY! I'm glad to hear that she was a NICU success story. :)

You can get memory cards very inexpensively with all of the sales & rebates. I will post whatever I see. :) What kind of cards do you use? I think that we have around 6 GBs of cards.

Well DW is something of a "camera snob" as I call her. It's Nikon or Leica all the way!! (She has an old Leica G-III her dad brought back from Germany during WWII)

For you Canon--or worse, Kodak--users, don't worry, it's nothing personal if she sneers at your camera ;) It's just that her training as an artist gave her some very strong views against the Golden Gods of Kodak et al. He university used Agfa film, Ilford paper and Nikon cameras...anything less and you're putting your academic life at risk of dismal failure! :sad2: So when she FINALLY went digital a few years ago--she was a purist until a camera shop guy showed her that even if she brought in a roll of Agfa, they would still process/print the pictures with the digital machine! She hadn't realized that digital had penetrated so far into the mainstream!

Her camera uses compactflash and her primary card is a Lexar Professional

Though her's is an older model that runs at 80X instead of the current crop of 133X cards. I noticed that SanDisk has their new Extreme III and Extreme IV cards available but the 4Gb+ cards are still quite pricey. We need to go with the higher-end/speed cards because of her Nikon's rapidfire mode...don't want to loose any shots due to a slow-writing card!

I actually need a new camera, probably a small, shirt pocket type for times when the big Nikon wouldn't be prudent to carry around. Our good friend got a 7MP Lumix/Leica and it's really nice!
