OK, I'm off to prepare to be a quasi-productive member of society for a little while. I spent so much time here this morning, I'll have to skip shaving my legs.

Anynone watch Wife Swap last night? One mom was from California and the other was from a farm in Iowa...the CA family are very style concious because DH is a stylist consultant. The IA family were ultra Earth crunchy types...raw food diet (including raw meat
vomit.gif
) Anyway, the IA mom was going to have to wear some stylish clothing so into the shower to shave her legs....OMG they were harrier than mine! :faint:

I dunno...can't I convince Turbo Tax that it's deductible? :confused3

But now that you mention taxes, I guess I can surf our banks' web sites to get the relavent PDFs so I can get going on our taxes this weekend. W-2s were supposed to be posted to our secure portal by now so the only thing left to get is the TT software. Gee, only 2 state returns to file this year! :yay:

I so love the TT commercial where the customer is sitting at the desk of the "tax man" who asks "Did you sell your house?"....hunt, peck, click..."Number of children?"....at which point the client takes the keyboard away! :thumbsup2 Yeah, that'd be me! I made the mistake of asking the H&R tax rep in WM how much to have our taxes done...worse than a used car salesman!!!! Couldn't get a straight answer other than the "general" cost for one federal return, one state return with one W-2 and "free" efile was "around $109"!!!! And there is an extra cost for EVERY additional piece of paper (W-2, 1099s etc)!!!!
jaw-dropping.gif
I'm thinking "eff that noise!!!" as a coworker often says! Because our return would probably cost in excess of $400 not to mention they couldn't do it right there anyhow because our out of state return would have to be prepared at the district offices! So instead of getting the return done while we shop, we'd have to wait "up to 3 weeks" for them to do it! :sad2: No, sorry, I'll stick with TT!

i feel your pain i just had h&r block do my taxes it was 424.00 i cant use TT not only am i computer illitrate i have racehorses and my DH has a racecar so i would have no idea where to begin i cant even get that pirate in my siggie:confused3

So I've been working my little fingers to the bone today - TG the thread has been relatively quiet! - but in the meantime I just had a flash. Lisa, do you need our "real" names (names on reservation) when you go to link the dining for everyone?

Oh NO Lorri......are you in WPP too?????? :lmao: :lmao:

I think there's STILL too much going on here for me to keep up with! I leave for an hour...OK, fine it was more than an hour...But I HAD to take an extended lunch because I stepped outside with my coat on, and I had to take it off!!!! It's a BEE-YOOTY of a day out there! The snow and ice are pretty much ALL melted, the sun is shining, not a cloud in sight, and the birds are singing, and I think I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder...:lmao:

I am just this very second realizing that I feel like a new person just because the sun's out and the weather's so nice! I think I've been sorta kinda down in the dumps lately, and it's due in part to the crappy weather we've been having!

Wow I feel like I've made a HUGE breakthrough! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh good the Reeses are safe until tomorrow......:lmao: :lmao:

OMG - I got a new tag! Thank you Tag Fairy :worship: - I would never stick my tongue out at you!.

OMG that is SO cute......I love it Lorri......goes to show.....she is still around......

Diane....don't call her any more names......(remember the creature thing maybe she has forgotten the whole incidence)

We saw the show also. It has been the topic of conversation with my dh and myself all day. We just can't believe there are people that eat "raw" food--all day everyday! And what's up with waking up the whole family in the middle of the night to have them drink a yogurt/sour milk concoction??? And how can you not send you kids to school or home school. I almost felt sorry for that family since they were so out of touch with reality.

I saw part of it - turned it off when they showed the Iowa bathroom :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: !

As soon as I posted that, I thought someone was going to say that.

Actually, I'm not in witness protection but absolutely hate my "real" name and will only answer to Lorri.

Was your DB older than you? Just wondering because I doubt that I knew him & I remember hearing that before. :lmao:

We are "Irish twins". He is 1 year and 1 day older than I. (If I hadn't been born in a leap year, it would've been exactly one year apart.)

OMG - I got a new tag! Thank you Tag Fairy :worship: - I would never stick my tongue out at you!.

Very cool!

It's been years since I've been tagged. :sad2:

That's TAGGED, people. Tagged.

But I will not grovel. Bribe, maybe...grovel, never.

:yay: pirate: ..now thee wenches are all fired up over flashing?

you was and to give of yourself....even today , that's a prefect pic.

full of changes...you demonstrated something that will never go
out of style!

[pssssst, iam the same way..i panic in a sec! it's my lil'miss cutie pie,
that's been the "rock". once there was a cartoon called smurfs..&
they did an epsiode that best illustrate my nature { even to this day,
my wife "likes" refering to it]...it was when the smurfs thought their
village was being destroy by an eruption....."brainy" smurf was going
around telling them all...don't panic. don't panic, until an alcorn fell
on his head, with a lil'thud...immediately, he started yellling -PANIC,
PANIC......my wife loves comparing that stupid cartoon anytime
something goes wrong....:lmao: . [ like i said, i sure don't need any
wrenches abusing me...my lil'miss..good at it...:groom: pst i still
 ..she has alot of assests... ]

Wow, Took me long enough to catch up.

YES every day. In fact, my whole last week was like that. I had a weigh in today and I was so surpised when I had actually lost .4lb. not much but I don't think I have eaten as much candy in the past 6 months as I did last week.
Was at Kroger this am and bought some Mini Hershey bars and Reese cups on clearance. They dates were still good but they are discontinuing them. Mark loves his chocolate.

Tom, be careful what you wish for. I know that you have perfect children, just pray that they will remain that way. We have gone through the dark years with DD. The "I want to wear black and act depressed year" Hope never to go through that again. Thank you very much!!!

Is their candy any good? I like SF Jelly Beans.

Well, now that I'm sort of caught up I am going to head down to my workroom and finish up that London shade. I will take my laptop with me so I might even get to stay caught up with you chatty peoples.

I think the weight watchers candy is awesome. It's actually made by Whitman's & each one is worth 1 point. I love the chocolate covered coconut & the crispy butter cream caramels. Yummo!

Do you think the Tag Fairy can be bribed with peanut butter cups?

What kind of project is she doing? My dd got her science fair experiment approved. She wants to see how long it takes for cheese to spoil!

Just examining the plant. Measuring roots leaves, dirt analysis, wight etc. that sort of stuff, I think.

I just bought a fish extender from ebay since I couldn't find one at the Christmas tree shop. The only problem is, it's too wide so I think I might cut it down & resew it. I'm not very crafty & I don't know how to use a sewing machine, but I might be able to hand sew it. :confused3
