Unless you want to taste the back side of my hand, you'll put that tongue back in your mouth right now?

She was only 3 or 4 at the time....but you're right, if I'd started her off that way, maybe I would have gotten less crap off of her as she got older. Oops....sorry, I think that was a bad word and a very unloving thing to say, huh?

My DD got it for them a few years ago. I think it was around 39.00 and you speak certain phrases to him and he answers. If you ask him to sing , he sings aloha, you ask him about his badness level, and he says I'm having a good day, he tells jokes,. He is a hoot. I keep meaning to bring him into work. I saw it on the internet a while back as I have never seen it at the World of Disney. I will def buy it the next time I see it.

Ssshhhh.....don't tell anyone, but *I* have one!

About as unloving as advocating striking a child in the face*. Really, I was just joking -- I would never hit my child in the face, head, arm or any place except their cushioned bottoms -- and only then with my bare hand. And you know when they say "this will hurt me more than it does you?" It really does, literally and figuratively.

* Excuse me, I think I hear Child and Family Services at the door...again.

Just heard about the two new ships!! :sail: :cheer2:

I am sooooo excited!!! That means more Disney Cruises in the future!!!

:beach: :woohoo: :dance3: :dancer: party: :jumping1:

Huh. Okay, go ahead and ignore my question like 20 pages back. I see how you are. :rotfl2:
Since I just uploaded the pictures so far this year I want to share a couple.

This is DD looking all grown up but hamming it all the same. DH made the frame for the print we bought on the last cruise. This is the beginning of our Disney family room. :goodvibes

Of course I can't leave DS out. This is him helping DH put his new 20" bike together a couple weeks ago. This is the $20 shipped huffy bike that I bought on Amazon 7 years ago.

Yesterday DD wanted to make us muffins. After watching over her breaking the eggs & adding it all together, I let her mix it up on her own. This is how I found her when I went back to check on her. :goodvibes
Aw, they are so cute!!! I just love them to bits already!
I see you are like me in that respect... I bought bikes $25 at the day after thanksgiving sale at Walmart years ago... various sizes for the kids thru the years. We've almost given them all so far- the rest are in the attic. They are also Huffy bikes... can't beat that price!

Well, since there was talk about rescued poochies...here's my BiLs dog, Gizmo. He is such a sweetie and loves his playdates with our lab Sally.

BTW, you can have your poochie make the very same face by giving them just a little bit of peanut butter...as long as it's not Peter Pan.:rotfl2:
OMG too cute! I love silly dog faces. :)
And Shelley...BBB....this is from yesterday.....do you want me to bring some of DH's undershirts for you? He's not coming on this cruise, but I'd be glad to bring the shirts, just in case.;)
:lmao:
Nah, next time he takes a brand new package of undershirts out of his suitcase and forgets to put it back in- he can just not dress appropriately and go eat at the buffet while I'm enjoying lobster! :rotfl2: But thanks for the offer... :)
Me too. DH smokes too. But not in the house, car or around anyone that it might offend.

Then we can hide together....

Don't forget me. remember how we mostly saw each other in a specific area doing a specific activity, Stacey? LOL

Enough of a break for me. Back to ironing so that I can put this darn board away today! Dinner is in the crock pot, the sink is cleaned, laundry is close to being caught up & I put away DD's dollhouse & railroad mess. Somehow she thinks that pushing it all against the wall classifies as picking it up. :sad2:
LOL She sounds like my DD! That and she also thinks that putting stuff in the closet and stuffing all sorts of stuff in her princess bin things constitutes cleaning up her room!

I think they are just changing the sizes of the shoes. I also was a solid 7, now range from a 7 to an 8, mostly closer to the 8.
I wouldn't doubt it, but some of my shoes don't fit me anymore that used to... not just new shoes purchased.
I made the mistake once of asking my lawyer son (the now 13-year-old) why he hadn't picked up his toys. He told me he had -- he'd picked them up and moved them across the room.

This is the same son, who when he was 5 or 6, was yelled at for banging his toy truck into the closet door. I said "Stop banging your trunk into the wall". He said "I'm not, it's the door".

I spanked him hard. I told him I hadn't spanked him -- I'd spanked his pants. Sometimes having a quick wit comes in handy.
OMG.. I thought I was the only one with such smart mouthed kids. I like the way you put it better though- lawyer son. LOL I've got to where now I don't say specifics. I'm all like WHOEVER IS MAKING WHATEVER THAT NOISE IS, STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING! LOL

A friend of mine just got back from FOS. She has been on numerous RCCL cruises and has alwyas enjoyed them. While she did enjoy this cruise, she will not go on such a large ship again. She said they basically took a Voyager class ship and added more rooms. Nothing else was bigger, so everything was just more crowded. I'm glad Disney isn't going "too" big!
I'm just catching up and as I read that other thread too... and noticed the 2 extra floors and all that, I started thinking hmmm, just MORE people to fight over Palo brunch, Palo dinner, flounders (thank goodness I need not worry about that!), for room in the pools, etc. What fun. :scratchin

Truly, my favorite ride (attraction) is and always has been Pirates of the Caribbean. Next month will be the first time I'll have seen it since it was refurbished.
My favorite is HM, but my 2nd favorite has always been POTC even before my (yes, MY!) Johnny Depp starred in the movies. I was so bummed that POTC was closed for refurbishment during our last trip. Who knows WHEN I'll ride the new one... and any of the other new rides/etc.

Jared didn't talk when he was little. He did plenty of screaming. He'd see a bunny in the back yard and want us to see it too, so he'd scream. Got me every time....I'd go running thinking he was being murdered!

I kept telling the doc that I thought something was wrong, and he kept giving me excuses like "he's a boy, they're slower" and "maybe the girls are talking for him". He finally got tired of me bugging him, and sent us for tests.
Apparently, Jared's multiple ear infections as a baby caused his speech patterns to not develop normally. He had two years of private speech therapy and then went to the Developmental Preschool. By the time he was ready to start Kindergarten, his speech was perfect.

Now we sometimes regret paying to make him talk. He talks constantly!
Can we pay someone to make him stop??
I don't know but if you figure out a way to pay to make him stop talking, PLEASE share that info with me. 'kay?
Unless you want to taste the back side of my hand, you'll put that tongue back in your mouth right now?
Sounds about like somethings I'd say back. LOL

Let's see, my Mom would have said...

I'll give you something to taste about, or
That tongue is going to turn black & fall off while you're sleeping, or
Go tell me how the air tastes from your bedroom, or
If ya wanna keep tastin' you'll get that tongue back in your head.
And any of these too... except maybe the turn black and fall off one. LOL

You must have some patience - there are times when I just get so frustrated looking for the bargains that I just walk away. Other times I have found them without even looking. A few years ago I needed a dress for a special work event and I had gone all over looking for something and couldn't find anything I liked. On the off chance we went into Sears and they had a dress that fit (I was about 40 lbs heavier than I am now) and looked good - only problem was it was more than I wanted to spend, but I was desparate as it was the day before. Anyway, I cave and go to checkout and the $110 dress rang up at $5.40!
Wowzers... that's incredible! Why couldn't that happen to me when I bought clothes at Target yesterday? Similar to your situation I had to find something "decent" to wear that would fit me (since I have very few clothes that fit me now and nothing nice enough for Sat night) and it all rang up the full price (at Target). :sad2:

What great bargains, Lisa!

I know there was more I was going to say and comment on, but it took me so long to catch up, that I forgot! :faint: :scratchin

Far better than AB fab, more logical and less off the wall, I did read NBC have lined up an USA actress for it. Vicar of Dibley started as a sketch on French and saunders

watched Vicar and liked it - but I guess I prefer less logical and more off the wall :rotfl: = Ab Fab was my favorite!!!:)

She was only 3 or 4 at the time....but you're right, if I'd started her off that way, maybe I would have gotten less crap off of her as she got older. Oops....sorry, I think that was a bad word and a very unloving thing to say, huh?
Wow, only 3 or 4? I was thinking she was like my oldest but nope, she's like my youngest... started the teenage mouth early. LOL

Ssshhhh.....don't tell anyone, but *I* have one!
Get out! We have one too. Ruby has been into stitch for a long time. I think I should sell it though- since it's going for that much! LOL (kidding, Ruby would get vedddy upset if I mess with her stitch collection)

About as unloving as advocating striking a child in the face*. Really, I was just joking -- I would never hit my child in the face, head, arm or any place except their cushioned bottoms -- and only then with my bare hand. Well, SAYING it doesn't mean you actually do it... LOL

Oh, sure, make fun of my name some more. :sad2:

Oh join my club...

Oh I forgot to mention yesterday we got up to 82! I'm telling ya, we were very tempted to take our first dive into our pool! That's 3 days in a row we were atleast mid 70's or higher. I wonder if we'll get that temp today too... this morning has started out a wee bit cooler (40's) than the last few days. We'll see. Won't be long before we get to break in our pool! :)

(sorry to those still having cold weather, ice/snow/etc. :( )

Sorry she says...yeah I've got something to say about that
censored.gif
:rotfl:

Well I'm gonna make DW happy...I called the Y and they are offering adult swim lessons...looks like we'll make it a family membership. That way she can go in for her fitness sessions and use their Child Watch so that DS "The Destroyer" will have a place to hang out :)

Hey, so who has husbands that wear Haggar pants? Just curious. I saw the commercials linked to the other day... hilarious! But I wonder if they really are as great as the commercials say. The cheapest I've seen online is $29.50 a pair... and I found an ebay auction (by chance, looking at seller's other auctions for a pair of boots I was looking at for DH- baby needs some boots because his are flat worn out from the ground up LOL) for 5pr, the poplin kind with belt... for $34 something for ALL 5 pair and that includes shipping! So that's a great price, I hope they are great pants like the commercials say.

LOL I posted those :wave2: ...oddly enough, I do not wear them. They were okay but I kinda like the Savane pants I can get at Sam's as well as Ralph. Problem is certain pants are made for guys with no, ahem,
butthead.gif
add (as the Captain would say ;)), and well, they don't fit me properly. Haggar is one of those kinds of pants.

Okay, it only took me all day to catch up and it is now 5:20pm here and I logged off at about 10 pm last night. Many, Many pages to read. I don't like to post until I have read them all because I don't want to duplicate to much. But here are a few answers that I need to get to.

FGM....are you close to Saline? My best friend from childhood lives there....
Not to close about 1 1/2 hour away. That is southwest of us. Never been there that I know of.

Our school now e-mails progress reports every Friday, it really helps to stay up with what the kids are doing.

And how did you get them to come right home and do their homework? The beatings didn't work here. ;)

Which reminds me of a pirate shirt I saw in San Fran:

The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves :lmao:
I don't think we ever had a problem it was just what they always did. They do leave homework they get on Friday to do on Sunday usually but I don't really know what I would do if I had to ride them on their homework or even help them out much for that matter. They both just are so independent that they do everything on their own. If one of them had a math problem I would probably have to go back and refresh my memory before I just jump in. DD has Advanced Trig next year. Hope she knows how to do because I don't remember a thing.

Well, since there was talk about rescued poochies...here's my BiLs dog, Gizmo. He is such a sweetie and loves his playdates with our lab Sally.

Oh darn, I had a great picture in mind of our late Golden eating PB. It's not on this computer. I will have to try to find it on Mark's and post it later.

I try not to eat them at all, other than when they are part of a large recipe. However DD's entire school lunch table thinks hard boiled eggs are the best lunch ever. :confused3
Like in a cake? I like cake oh yeah and don't forget the frosting.

Forget about the Tag Fairy. Now I have "Family of the Week" envy!!

The closest we ever got was getting to raise the flag on the roof of Wilderness Lodge.
We have done that. Again the pictures are on Mark's computer. But the view up there is incredible.

Me too:sad2: I'm in the 5'2" club as well.....

your poor dad! Only six inches tall? LOL!
Me too. The 5'2" club not the 6" club.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought there was any way to make the Walt suite even more desirable, but this does it (I'm a huge HM fan).
If you take the behind the scenes tour at WDW they do a tour inside the HM it is so neat. The whole tour is worth the money. You learn some very cool things.

:) "You're the One That I Want" is on the radio right now.
Oh, thank you very much. I just got that song out of my head from yesterdays discussion and you put it back there. Gee now where is that Small World video. :)

Since Andrew expressed that BTM was his favorite ride. What is everyone elses favorite ride at any of the parks. Mine would have to be the Matterhorn and has been my favorite since 1959 when it opened.
Gosh, I could't begin to pick but like I said before I do like Spaceship Earth for naps.

Truly, my favorite ride (attraction) is and always has been Pirates of the Caribbean. Next month will be the first time I'll have seen it since it was refurbished.
We got to ride on it on one of the days it was opened before it was officially open. That was pretty cool. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Did Mission Mars that way too.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

No they have to fix those smelly bathrooms that everyone always complains about
You don't know smelly bathrooms until you try to use the bathrooms by they casino on the Destiny out of PR. YUCK!!!

Ssshhhh.....don't tell anyone, but *I* have one!
Are those like the interactive Mickey's. If so we have the Mickey.

WARNING - TOTALLY OT
I cannot figure out my water bill. They were saying on the news that the city is going to start gouging people who are "heavy users". Well, as I look at my bill today, I am pretty close. I REALLY do not get this. There are 4 of us. DH and I shower daily (less if we do it at the health club), DD's just every other day. I run the dishwasher every other day. I have a set up Neptune washer whish is supposed to be a low water user. Obviously not watering in the winter. We do have a fountain outside but I buy bottled distilled water for it.
It says we use anout 25,000 gallons a month. Does this sound correct?
No leaks, running toilets, etc either.

All this talk of Ash Wednesday and church, reminded me of this joke.

Three little boys were concerned because they couldn't get anyone to play with them.

They decided it was because they had not been baptized and didn't go to Sunday School .

So they went to the nearest Church.

But, only the Janitor was there.

One little boy said, "We need to be baptized because no one will come out and play with us.

Will you baptize us?"

"Sure," said the Janitor.

He took them into the bathroom and dunked their little heads in the toilet bowl, one at a time.

Then he said, "You are now baptized!"

When they got outside, one of them asked,

"What religion do you think we are?"

The oldest one said,

"We're not Kathlick, because they pour the water on you."

"We're not Babtis, because they dunk all of you in the water."

"We're not Methdiss, because they just sprinkle water on you."

The littlest one said,

"Didn't you smell that water?!"

They all joined in asking,

"Yeah! What do you think that means?"

"I think it means we're Pisscopailians.

Just fast forwarded AI. It's going to be a good season for the girls. The boys didn't do it for me. Grays is on tonite .Now I have to finish Lost from last night. I love my DVR :happytv:

I'm here now! :wave2: Warning: Do Not attempt singalongs! Move your fingers away from the keyboard! This is the DIS police!!! ::cop:

There can be more than one officer on duty right Andy?

Absolutely!!!

When my DS was in HS, Disney would ask the marching bands to start off the Christmas parades at night. Since we were chaperones, we got to go with them. The buses park in the back lot near the end spot of the parade. We would tell them we wanted to see the kids(not) and they would let us in the park. We all dshed on POTC and the buss drivers went on SM.

Jennifer--

That looks like a busy and action-packed trip! pirate:

That is very cool......didn't even know about it......:thumbsup2

Yeah... my thought was it better be busy and action-packed for the price I paid for it. Almost 3 times more than the 15-night cruise when you break it down my cost per night. The top-tier package actually sold out within 24 hrs.
