Maybe Lisa needs to make a new task force--someone to host the pity party for those of us who are still tagless.

We have lots of days on WDW passes. I always buy at least 7 day PHNE and forgot I had some so we have 2 sets with only a couple days on each one used. That is one of the pitfalls of compulsive planning. You know you need it and forget you already took care of it.

Well, we have 4 days left on a 10 day MYW no hopper pass from WDW. I am thinking of getting DS another 10 day ticket & have him use that one this December when we meet friends at WDW instead of doing our cruise this year. He can use that in DL and we will then have 5-6 days on that ticket to convert to an adult ticket the next time we are at WDW. We wouldn't be able to hop but our daily cost would be much less.

Hi .. After reading above that some folks booked HoJo's I went to look on their website. It allowed me to enter the Aug 2008 dates, but when I went to book, it came back with 07 dates. I too thought this was kind of early to book, but looks like people might start grabbing them up!

I have emailed Susan/Ivanova to ask her if she has gotten any more info about the block of rooms she was going to ask about for us.

You know, that would probably be a safer thing for them to do. Those groups are easy to set up & a parent could monitor the posts. You can do them so that you restrict who can join & see the posts. There are a couple other options out there though. Let me find out how to set them up & I will LYK.

Yeah well my dog seems to have acquired Norwalk or the likes and keeps pooping everywhere. .......no not bricks........picture splats.....

I have shampooed carpets all night.......So my DH puts him outside and forgot about him....He fell asleep(DH)

I go to shut the light off and there is the incredible popcycle dog stuck to my french door.....he is all warm now that mommy cuddled him.......right after I wiped his rear with baby wipes......

... and most likely with 18 months to go ... there is almost certainly going to be a number of folks for whom (unfortunately) things will change and they will cancel.

HOWever... I choose to subscribe to the belief they have NOT heavily oversold... and that merely their booking system was unable to assign so many cabins at once... so they set thier system to offer mostly guarantee basis cabins. And they are now taking their sweet time about sorting through who gets what.

SO hang tough! It' will all turn our just fine for all of us DIS folks!

I spoke with a CM yesterday while calling to order OBC for DH and DD. The CM said that DCL anticipates 33% cancellation and that there is still a loooooooong wait list that they are working off. In plain english, those of us with GTY should anticipate being that way until 90 days out.

Hey, did anybody get a room assignment from DCL yesterday?

Nope. And no matter how many times I check my ressie each day, it still says GTY.

Last night, I learned from a friend some very disturbing news......

Were you all aware that Cookie Monster from Sesame Street has undergone an identity change? He is now being referred to as Veggie Monster! Now, I am all for teaching kids healthy eating habits, but come on!
C is for COOKIE....that's good enough for me!

That is RIDICULOUS!!! Must be the same group of whackos that started the junk about Bert and Ernie not being appropriate for kids either. Sometimes people think waaaay too much about stupid stuff.

Regarding Pre Meet Hotels at DisneyLand............ Disney is NOT booking their hotels past January 08 right now. Not with DVC or Credit Card reservations. CM said it might be August before they open them up. Thought it was kinda strange....... So I called a buddy who is a Disney Exec........ Got the same answer. Hope that helps !!!

I've read that it is possible to use WDW tickets for DL, but not vice-versa. Has that been confirmed with Disney?

Aren't DL tickets less expensive, and also allow unlimited hopping between the 2 California parks?

I suppose anyone who is doing a pre-stay at DL and a post-stay at WDW should look into the longer WDW tickets just to see if that is a better value somehow.

An elderly couple walk into Mcdonalds. They order one hamburger, one order of fries and one drink.

The old man unwraps the plain hamburger and carefully cuts it in half. He places one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counts out the fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placing one pile in front of his wife. He takes a sip of the drink, his wife takes a sip and then sets the cup down between them. As he begins to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them keep looking over and whispering "That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them."

As the man begins to eat his fries a young man comes to the table. He politely offers to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man replies that they''re just fine - they''re just used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn''t eaten a bite. She sits there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man comes over and begs them to let him buy another meal for them.

This time the old woman says "No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything."

As the old man finishes and was wipes his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again comes over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asks "May I ask what is it you are waiting for?"

The old woman answers...

I was told SEPTEMBER by one CM and "11 months before arrival" from a second.


However, it seems that the non-Disney hotels might be allowing bookings now.
