An elderly couple walk into Mcdonalds. They order one hamburger, one order of fries and one drink.

The old man unwraps the plain hamburger and carefully cuts it in half. He places one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counts out the fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placing one pile in front of his wife. He takes a sip of the drink, his wife takes a sip and then sets the cup down between them. As he begins to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them keep looking over and whispering "That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them."

As the man begins to eat his fries a young man comes to the table. He politely offers to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man replies that they''re just fine - they''re just used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn''t eaten a bite. She sits there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man comes over and begs them to let him buy another meal for them.

This time the old woman says "No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything."

As the old man finishes and was wipes his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again comes over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asks "May I ask what is it you are waiting for?"

The old woman answers...



"THE TEETH."

I know that. I have been right along with you guys. I just had to take a step back and looking at it from a different perspective.

OK, we have been talking about the trip today. How far is Universal Studios from the DL area? I am looking for practical driving time with traffic. We are considering renting a car to use while we are there.

OK...good morning everyone first of all. Although the good natured joking around here is fine, there seems to be a lot more posts containing sexual innuendo lately. I know that most of these references are the result of typos that were difficult to resist commenting on and noone has set out to make explicit comments however this has led to threads being closed in the past. We do have to remember that the DIS boards are considered to be a family board. I know that both of my kids will sit with me looking at the pictures but now DS & DD can read and they will ask questions about what something means. Many have posted that their kids also look at the boards with them. I know that this is one thing that I like about the DIS boards. Just ask yourself if you would want to explain something read here to your child...no matter what age they are.

Thank you and now back to the fun of catching up from last night!

That whole LA area is pretty spread out (and the traffic can be terrible). When we went last June, we started out for a few days in Hollywood/Universal Studios, then drove to Anaheim early in the morning (trying to beat morning rush). I think it was about an hour and a half to get there.

Anyway, just popped in to say that I read the summaries and will have to go back and find the posts of bonding - can anyone give me a hint as to where these are? LOL - oh yeah - not sure if this has been mentioned or discussed - in Buena Park, CA there is an attraction that is called Pirate Adventures which is a dinner entertainment type of dinner show. My oldest DD -20 went when it first opened month ago and really loved it. She said that the actors were brought over from FL as this was a new show for CA. Now locals have taken over for a time and new music is supposed to be playing - DD wants to go - if I manage to take her or she goes - will post what she thinks of it. This type of show is similar to the Medival Knights dinner show that was popular several years back. OOOPPPSSS! did I just date myself? Anyway, if anyone is interested I can stop by and get pamphlets for pricing - might be interesting for a dinner meet out here some time. Let me know if anyone wants info - Later Laura - on my way to backtracking!
