I wasn't sold on the Crocs at first - but with this cruise coming up a nd the talk on here - I finally feel the desire to get Crocs and an Ipod - go figure!!!!

I absolutely hate the shoes & refuse to pay that much for them period! I was in WM in October picking up some beach shoes for the kids for $1 each & they had a pair of black and a pair of white sandle fake crocs in my size for $3 each. Those shoes are so comfy! They were great on the cruise because I HATE flipflops...which I had gotten to use for the beach. I can't stand the noise & the way they fling sand up your leg.

Well... seein' as thread counts were mentioned ... here are current totals for our thread... total visits so far stand at 264,913 (however, I think this updates hourly). And the individual totals are as follows:

Hey Crash....we could use some math here....youR so good at it....projections for total posts?

Well we are under 18 months now folks!!

WOO HOO!!!!

As I say in my signature...these cruises are our annual family therapy sessions. I really depend on them every year. This year's will be missed. :(

Sorry Lisa :grouphug: Too bad the Repo is as pricey as is it. Probably in the end DCL will lose some revenue because of those of us that cancelled '07 to be able to take the Repo in '08. If the Repo was less expensive I would have tried to do both years. I know alot of people feel that way. But I know you were cruising with friends this year and I'm sorry you had to cancel.

I think this is true for a LOT of people. Matter of fact our "dummy" reservation was for dec 2007, so although we never intended on crusing then anyway... still it was yet another 2007 ressie changed to this cruise.

My TA said that Disney is still reeling (and being stingy with room assignments btw) over what happened when they opened summer 2008 for booking. He said that quite a lot of people cancelled/transferred 2007 reservations for summer 2008 and some of them were in Feb/March (people even past the 90 days!) and so they were scrambling off waitlists to get those rooms filled up. But apparently it wasn't just those 2 months- it was quite a LOT of reservations for 2007 cancelled and/or transferred to 2008 bookings.

Thanks Diane!

You know a great way to celebrate your 20th on our cruise would be to renew your vows with Captain Jack officiating! We could be your wild, pirate guests!

Now a question: how do you use stateroom credits? Do they just use those before they start charging your credit card? We've never cruised with stateroom credits before, but this time we'll have SC's from both the TA and for rebooking onboard from DCL. So how does it work? How do you know how much stateroom credit you have to make sure you got what you were supposed to? And then do they just use that for your charges before charging your credit card? So what about let's say you get a drink or two, and you sign the paper for it/tip/etc. Does that come off your stateroom credit first until it's gone and then starts charging your credit card?

And another question, anyone know if they are going to handle things differently on a longer cruise like this? I mean how often do they put your charges on your card during the trip- every few days or what?

There should be little cards left in your stateroom showing the amount of stateroom credit.

The incentive stateroom credits (given by DCL and the TA) are depleted first, followed by any stateroom credits that are purchased for you or by you as gifts. (I'm buying DH stateroom credits for each holiday 'til cruise time.) THEN the remaining balance is charged to your credit card. You can stop by guest services at any time to add cash or Disney Reward Dollars or even Disney Dollars to your stateroom account. If you do that, those dollars get used after the incentive credits and before the purchased credits.

Now I just gave myself a headache thinking about it.

As for charging your card, I believe they only do that at the end of the cruise. I usually let my CC company know that I'll be travelling and to expect a charge for stateroom expenses.

Way to go Crash!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Andy...

Only thing is I'm sittin' here staring at the uninstall pop up window as it pulls everything off... and I can't remember whether I entered anything about my personal ID (SS# or birthdate?) when I opened the thing up? My friend helped me get it up and running so I was not entirely paying attention when he was getting it started up. I guess that seves me right... eh?:confused3

Well... it's almost done now... the Disney interactive game is just about off - and for the last look I'll see if it has a RECOVER mode... if so then I'll trigger that to wipe it good... :surfweb:

MAN!!! What a finish!!!!
huh? I'm confused.....

I'm the opposite. I love our crocs but I prever my croc flipflops while on the beach. I can't STAND all that sand getting in (and staying in) the regular crocs while on the beach. So uncomfortable!
Atleast with flipflops I can get it to fall back out easily and rinse off easily... not so with the regular type crocs- the sand tries to stay in there!

How exactly did you manage to get that tag? I don't remember you torturing Mickey. ;)

I think the TF was referring to the discussion about the Mickey ball/antenna topper things.

My experience with stateroom credits is that they use them before putting anything on your CC. Some types of OBC is refundable and some is not. The rebooking $200 OBC is not refundable I believe. OBC that you buy are refundable. I don't think with a 15 night cruise any of us will have to worry about leftover OBC though. 8/06 cruise we had $200 OBC for each of our 2 staterooms and I bought $1500 ahead of time...slowly over the two years so that I wouldn't have a big bill to come home to. Worked great for us. When I bought the OBC in $250 intervals, they always said they were refundable if I didn't use them...........AS IF :rotfl: :rotfl: We were six people this time. Four teenagers.........yeah......we used it all!

If I'm wrong someone correct me.

OK...meet at 5 pm on deck 7 aft for the Captain's group vow renewal. pirate:

Is anyone else afraid that if we all end up deck 7 aft, we're going to lift the nose of the ship out of the water?

now that would be neat..WE could all wear our pirate garb to dinner...

FREAKS....

I didn't think about that...though I would have to repack it for the cruise. OY! Why haee I not realized before now that we wont be able to leave the pre cruise trip luggage in the car this time? :sad2:

Every day or just one day?

I'd renew my vows once, but I think 15 consecutive times is a bit much.
