TAXES TAXES TAXES...

It my job 365 days of the year...

Mostly for a big Bank.. whose federal tax return if it were filed in paper form would stand 5 feet high...

But this time of year I have lots of individuals to do "on the side".

I just hope I can keep my eyes off the DISboards long enough to get all this work done.

:

Side note: For us WDW regulars... a great post on DL... well written and compares DL to WDW...

Great pic Andy - thanks for posting!

I haven't tried this, but on the Budget Board this link was posted for making your own Jibbitz.

http://mylittlemochi.typepad.com/my_little_mochi/2006/10/croc_charms.html

I've heard that many of the real Jibbitz don't work well in the Disney crocs because the Mickey shape holes are bigger and they tend to work their way out. However, if you make your own, you could secure it with a big enough button to hold it in.

I bought some jewels for my crocs at the Dollar Tree. I think there were 7 on the sheet and they came in cutsy charms and sports as well.

Yes, we ALL Survived the family meeting........FGM was NOT a Happy Camper !!!

As for the Mickey Jail Story........... Its Long, so my apologies.....remember You guys asked !!!

On My Second Trip to Walt Disney World in 1972............................

I had pestered my parents into letting me take my best friend with us. My first trip was great.........But I had to hang around with my older brother (That's a different story !!!!). Now my best friend and I are allot alike...... and at that time ALL Boy.........meaning, what mischief can I get into, and still not get caught, and look like were Angels !!!!

My Family is from Tennessee, so every trip we took to Florida and Disney World, we would stop at My Grandparents. My family's from a small town area that, in a word, is country. And Country folks are different than city folks. Country boys like to shoot at things and blow things up !!!!! Mom and dad were smart enough not to let us take BB guns on vacation..... Sooooooooo

Fireworks, and larger explosive devices were readily available to boys in rural Tennessee. So guess what went with my friend and I to Florida ???

My Uncle owned at that time a resort hotel in Southern Florida, right on the Inter Coastal Waterway. We would stay at the hotel for a week, then head back up to Disney, which at that time was the Magic Kingdom.

There was lots of construction in the area at that time............ Long Story Short............ M80's in drain pipes........... M80's thru the pier slats into the Surf.........Firecrackers in toilets..... And not getting caught !!!

Head up to Disney......... U can see the trouble coming.........wish I could have.

Now my Best Friend is Fearless..........I'm only Brave. We are both enough of the former to be considered stupid. At least that's my Dad's perspective.

Now remember that in 72, Disney (MK) still had horse drawn wagons, and other animals, that might not like loud noises.............

Security back then was a couple of retired, overweight, old guys........not like today.

We had a bunch of Firecrackers.........Thankfully we had used up all of the M80's and other types of larger explosive devices !!!!

So my brilliant Friend decided it would be fun to see how many rides we could go on and light off Firecrackers..........Seemed like a good idea at the time!!!

We lit off FireCrackers on every ride and show in the MK, including the Train. It was smaller back then, even Space Mountain wasn't open yet. You had to use ticket books, and we were on our last ticket, to ride the Haunted Mansion !!!!

Now wouldn't you know, that every time we lit a firecracker in the Haunted Mansion it was either a dud, or got run over by a Doom Buggy just as it went off. Must have tried 20 times.......... I tried enough times that I ran out of FC's. We get off the ride, and its 5 minutes till the park closes. My Brilliant friend See's a Horse standing outside of the Haunted Mansion gates.......... and decides to flip a lit firecracker by it........... Bad News...........and it wasn't a Dud !!!! Bang goes the cracker, up goes the horse, friend gets tackled by Cast Members......... I initially escape by using ' Ive never seen him before in my life........as my Best Friend is screaming out my name.

So I get almost back to where we are to meet my parents at the Train station on Main Street....... and 2 CM's stop me. Even back then they had radio's. My Dad sees this, comes running up, just as two security guards are dragging my friend up Main Street.

We go to Mickey Jail......... Mom and Dad have to bail us out. Luckily no one was hurt........ Could have gone seriously much worse. Thank Goodness all the horse did was jump around, and not bolt. So the bail was to scare the living daylights out of us...... It worked. Had to stay at Security Headquarters for 2 hours after the Park Closed......in their holding cell. Listening to my Dad talking with the Disney park management. At the end, It sounded more like the Disney Team was trying to protect us from my Dad !!!!

We had to sign that we were under probation, never to be caught doing anything wrong at Disney again, and were released into my Parents custody. I would have rather stayed in Mickey Jail. My Bahoooooky hurts just thinking
about this.........

Thanks for sharing but please DON'T bring any explosives with you on this trip!

Passengers sailing on the Disney Magic could see a bearded man on a small island who was shouting and desperately waving his hands. "Who is it?" a passenger asked the captain. The captain replied, "I've no idea. Every year when we pass, he goes nuts."

I knew I left my DH somewhere.

Hi, just want to introduce my family to this board, we will be sailing with you all Aug 2008. I'm Tracy, Steve (dh), Jordan 14 at time of sailing (dd) and Jenna 12 at time of sailing (dd). I have been trying to catch up with all of the post but not doing a very good job at it! We have sailed Disney several times, infact we were booked on the 2005 EB repo but had to cancel due to dd's school conflict. Oh well, we WILL be on this one! Can't wait to meet all of you, seems like I know most of you already!

WELCOME ABOARD!

At the risk of redunancy and my fellow wenches throwing fruit at me. Yes, I will be bringing a cordless blender and 100 pound backpack of booze. We will have many a cocktail party on secret deck 7. Everyone must bring batteries :rotfl: :rotfl:

But Enna knows where the power is so some of us are also bringing corded blenders and more booze!

Pamela---I have a job for you (hee hee)
You see we have this group excursion in Cabo and last time we almost missed the boat. Enna wants to swim back but you can make sure we get back via land not water........They also have awesome food and I am sure awesome non alcoholic drinks

Truth be told although I could drink most men under the table in college, I get a terrible headache now when I drink......One is usually where I stop......
You and I can spearhead (oooh they did not like this word the other day) a get you back to your room in one piece committee......we could name it after the guy on RCCL-----what was his name...?

Cabo Ecursion......... What Cabo Excursion........Do Tell !!!

Mark

Okay now I'm cooking with gas (thanks to my DH). I have added our 8/06 lifestyle pic to my siggie.

Don't you guys love the lifestyle pictures. I wish I would have found out about them earlier in the week. I love the all white background. Who woulda thunk it?

It's a great pic of you guys! DH asked it I posted the pic of the three of us that we just took the other night yet, but I don't know how to keep the size - photobucket keeps shrinking it and I can't find an option that will let me enlarge it, only to make it smaller.:confused3 Gonna have to try and figure this one out.

Is it OK to attend the parties even if you don't drink the drinks??? I feel like a party-pooper, but if I drink alcohol (even a single glass of wine) there is a good chance I will sleep for the next 12-16 hours and it just isn't worth it  Hopefully, admitting this won't make me an outcast here :scared1: Usually at parties, I get to be the "designated driver", but we probably don't need any of those on the ship :rotfl:

pdarrah (Pamela)

OF COURSE YOU CAN COME - we will make virgin drinks!

Congrats everyone on their tags. Welcome to all that have joined us. Congrats on the pirates also. I need to get some rest now. Have been busy doing housework and was up early this morning playing catch up.
Good Night Everyone.

Oh, looky there! You're from Ohio too....Hi neighbor!

Yes, that is our friend who we have cruised with on the Magic 3 times. Hearing you post about OH reminds me of things that he & his wife have said about the state.
