I went on the September 11 Night cruise with a group of ladies from the DIS....just us Moms, no kids, no hubbies. The "Escaping Moms" are at it again. We are taking THIS cruise together....no kids, no hubbies!!

Aw dangit. I never did get to meet your husband and now it looks like I never will!

I can't imagine ever getting away for THAT MANY DAYS. How you gals manage it is beyond me. I don't even want to think about what I'd return to if I was gone that long.

Good News! Just got the results of the blood work....seems to be normal. So hopefully this will be taken care of with the meds....He goes back on Saturday.

AAAW, I missed Randy Man!! I was actually excited to meet him! Well, maybe he'll show up later today and I can say hi...

So I haven't really had a chance to read back, but this whole spam email thing...I take it someone in the group must have leaked our email addresses to someone? If it was intentional, then that's not too cool. Especially since it was clearly requested that we not share others' info with the general public. I didn't even go to the website, so I don't know what it consists of, but is there any of our information on there?

I told DH not to spend money on flowers this year. Guess what showed up at 10am at work?

Turned out to be a good thing as an hour later my mom called to tell me my aunt, her sister, had died of a heart attack this morning. My GM has now lost four of her kids, the last one just four months ago.

DH has been throwing up since 4pm due to a stress attack from studying for the Bar Exam (2nd time).

Sorry. Didn't mean to be a party pooper. It's been a rough day.

Was hoping my 500th post would be a bit cheerier. Again, sorry.

WE're sorry to learn of your family's loss... plus your other complications with the attack... I believe most things eventually even out then swing better... hang in there with resolve...

Our kids are all older than yours. We wouldn't have been able to do it when they were younger, either. Three of us have two kids who are teens/pre-teen and two of the moms only have one delightful daughter each....very easy for the Dads to take care of.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Joe - I'll be sure to share them with him tonight when I get home from work.

Last night while he was getting ready for bed he comes out of the bathroom and tells me that he is growing a mustache! So I look at his little mustacheless lip and tell him that is the hair that we all have on our lip, so of course I burst his bubble. He is really pushing for puberty to start NOW! On the one hand it is funny to watch because now I know how I must of looked to my mom when I tried to convience her that I really NEEDED to shave my legs at 12. And on the other, my baby is growing up.

I'll confess i got the email and didn't think much of it - except to say I went over - looked around and thought it was not well organized. I did eventually find their equivulant for our cruise meet and read a little then posted one reply. THEN this morning on reading Lisa's email - I realized I had been spammed. I was not really very pleased. I went back and erased my posting to the other site and began drafting an email back to the spammer to declare I would NOT be returning to their site. But then I thought... aww... I better things to do with my time ... like add another posting to my 900+ on this thread. <chuckles> I'll not be returning to their site...

...I can see the harm that can result from an unmonitored forum and I prefer a "thin but effective layer of order" to my discussions... ... and Lisa did look sort of skinny in those wedding pictures .. didn't she?

Hazel is babysitting her niece's DD again today. Hailie brought her Snow White dress with her today to play dress-up. I just took this pic of Hailie aka Snow White. She also brought over her Cinderella dress. Funny thing is, Hailie is wearing her glass slippers with the Snow White dress.

Andy what a doll!

Extreme Engineering: Widening the Panama Canal is on the Discovery Channel & the Science Channel quite a few times this month so check your local guide for day & times. It was really facinating. They showed how the canal was built, current footage of the Panama Canal, how the ships are able to go through the locks, and ideas they have for creating a new canal. I am going to make sure the kids see it so they can really appreciate what it took to build & the lives that were lost.
